Or just wear another dress? That one clearly does not lend itself for being worn with stuff underneath.

Other than that, mostly more of her foolish and barely audible musings of Exeter, which is interesting since she said he hated university in one of her post Exeter videos, and talking about vegan food. Oh, and the amazingness of having a friend. You, too, can be like Ruby and have a single friend who only gets together with you once or twice a year for paid events and vacations! Enjoy that friendship, Rubbish. Sounds solid.

This might seem a bit random but I went on the Emily Dickinson Museum's website today because I was interested after watching a few clips of Dickinson on Youtube, and lo and behold, who do I see on the front page? None other than our Roobertamba.

She is everywhere, it pisses me off. Why would the official museum have her there? Did she do some sort of sponsorship with them or am I remembering wrong?

Genuinely so irritating.

She spent a few days there during her GAP YAHHH getting gifted tours and free stuff in exchange for advertising the museum.

She lied about it and painted the whole thing as her "volunteering", yet she didn't do any of the things normal volunteers are expected to do. Instead, she just did all the paid tours for free in exchange for filming a couple of low-effort guest videos on the museum social media.

When she did a video about her trip, she showed herself getting tours and writing in Emily's bedroom, but refused to mention that any museum visitor could do everything she did, for a fee. Because it would've made it abundantly clear that it was all just her getting paid in free stuff to advertise the place, then lying about it to pad her CV with fake work experience for her uni application.

Just say that you spilled something on your favourite skirt and move on, why does everything have to be a lie or a twisting of the truth? She was never going to go to the formal dinner in that outfit and clunky trainers. Still hammering on about Oxford beig a traumatic place. I know this is Ruby's thread but Jade is insufferable jfc.

Call me overdramatic, but I actually gasped at that screenshot. It looks terrible. Why doesn't she just remove the polish rather than leaving it to peel off gradually?

I'll never understand why Ruby makes an effort with certain things only to neglect others. She'll film herself using moisturiser and that weird jade roller, then brushes her hair so aggressively it comes out. She cares enough to do OOTDs but doesn't iron her clothes or check for food stains. Makes no sense.

Yes! Not only is it strange that her theme is so depressing and washed out, but the fact that most of these photos are of young children or young teens is downright disturbing. She just cannot grow up and seems to be getting worse and worse dealing with maturity. She is almost a quarter of a century old. 30 will come up fast and furious and she has no idea how to adult in any aspect.

I think that Ruby is a pretty flakey friend at times and to be honest, she could be rather irritating with how clingy that she appears to be. I would be rather annoyed if my friend did leave me alone in the flat during Covid to go back home even if she did pay for it. I don't know how I would feel if my friend who I lived with at university, took all the same classes as me, wanted us to discuss things before and after a class, doing the reading together and for me to give her my notes etc.

I'd find Ruby fine to spend time with in small doses such as in a class and going for a coffee afterwards. I don't know if I could cope with spending a large amount of time with it, especially as Ruby has little idea about what she is actually speaking about and she has to be the smartest in the room all the time. It is a personality which grates on me but it is just me perhaps.

I can't really blame Blakney for perhaps hanging around with Ruby for the free events and getting gifts from PR such as ready meals when they were at university. I think that it would perhaps compensate, I don't know if that is the best phrase, for Ruby's behaviour or her copying her work.

I think as well, that Blankey only has Ruby in small doses as evidenced in university when she was a member of different clubs and she had a job.

Ruby wouldn’t be so smug and desperate for perfection if she wasn’t told she was amazing compared to Marfa all the time. That’s probably why she likes being a child all the time- it reminds her of when she was always told she was perfect

Can I just say that I'm grateful for your comment because I'm a Marfa too with a Ruby sister and the more I see how incompetent and unlikeable Ruby is the more jealous I am of her for getting so much attention and love when she isn't trying to better herself or care about others in the least.

I think I might be the only one who watches these videos just to live vicariously through her and to see what it would be like if I wasn't ignored all the time (although I wouldn't prefer it if I kept making a fool of myself-or maybe I wouldn't care, if I had any attention from my family. I don't know how that feels haha)

I wonder if it's just a thing in her family to make a fuss of birthdays or if Ruby's given special treatment.

Her house really is gorgeous. This moulding on the walls, the massive windows, the high ceilings. It’s such a pity that their sofas look like they came from the local dump. It makes me so sad because the house just looks so dirty, empty and uncared for. It’s like they don’t take pride in it at all. To Ruby’s credit her bedroom is actually decorated quite nicely (except for that horrible blanket she uses as a rug). I mean ‘nice’ is generous but compared to the rest of the house it may as well be in an interior design magazine.

I just can’t get over how sad and empty this room looks literally looks like they’ve just moved in. I do wonder if Ruby is embarrassed of the state of her house or if she doesn’t realise. She’s always refused to do a house tour but that might be because she doesn’t want to come across as ‘too rich’.

Totally agree. They're lucky to have this big, old house surrounded by greenery, but they don't make the most of it. To me, it's always looked as though they had the kitchen redecorated but then ran out of money to finish the rest of the rooms. Those ugly sofas are the WORST - they're just so out of character with the rest of the space.

I do wonder how she would cope if her and Blakney had an argument or stopped being friends, considering that Blakney is her most favourite person. Or what would happen in Blakney had changed her interests etc, especially as Ruby likes friends who are just like her.

I'd be shocked if there hadn't been some kind of (even mild, polite) confrontation while they were living together. Ruby seems like a terrible roommate/friend in almost every way:

• Constantly leaving all the lights on.
• Constantly leaving the fridge open.
• Never cleaning up after herself (or doing it so incompetently/half-assedly that it'd need doing all over again anyway).
• Being controlling and possessive the shared space in the house (and tossing out any of Blakeney's decorations that didn't fit Ruby's aesthetic whims).
• Bailing on the uni house to run back home, leaving Blakeney by herself*.
• Having Blakeney do the bulk of Ruby's uni work for her.
• Latching onto Blakeney's friends then causing drama (as with Molly).
• Intrusive filming habits (which Blakeney appeared totally sick off by final year).

Even if she has the patience of a saint and is a total doormat, Blakeney must've gotten tired of it at some point. Ruby's spoiled 'take everything, give nothing back' bullshit is probably a big part of why doesn't have much time for Ruby these days unless there's extra incentive (that and she's actually doing things with her time, unlike Ruby).

*Although Blakeney getting the house to herself might've been a huge bonus for her to be free of Ruby's shit for a while, it's still a totally dick move on Ruby's part to wait until they'd renewed the lease and moved back in to bugger off back home for no reason other than to pretend to be a kid again. Especially since Blakeney doesn't appear to have the cash to just waste on accommodation then go back home and not use it.

It was the Emily Dickinson Museum.

The things she did there were things that any museum visitor can do, they just have to pay for it, which Ruby refused to mention. It wasn't a job or a volunteer position (she did none of the work volunteers do there), she was just gifted some tours and merch in exchange for advertising the museum on her channel.

It was just a standard influencer ad that she didn't declare, lied about and embellished into work experience to make the whole thing seem more impressive and to pad her CV for her Oxford application.

I just don’t get why she can’t just try and enjoy Oxford, she wanted it for so long Surely it can’t be THAT much of a disappointment?

She didn't really want it though, she's just always wanted to be able to say that the "best" school accepted her and to be able to brag about it online.

The problem is that she has no real interest in academia, no desire to engage with the learning process and she isn't intellectually equipped to do well at this level, especially since she can't use all her usual academic shortcuts and skate by copying other people's homework.

She wants people to think she's a gifted child genius, but every day's there's a new reminder that she's not special and is surrounded by people naturally smarter and more talented in every way. She's so busy struggling to tread water that she's had practically no opportunity to make content to remind everyone that she's an AWKSWFUD STYEEDUNT or to pretend she's living her dark academia fantasies. That was the only reason she wanted to go and she can't even exploit it for views, so it's no wonder she's miserable.
