I’ve had a drinky and it must be hitting me harder than I thought, because none of that video makes any sense whatsoever 🥴 I noticed she felt called to get out some of the expensive gym equipment to prove it’s not all rotted away yet, and nearly broke her neck flopping around on the trampoline like the gormless flounder she is. I screenshotted her poem, here you go:

also since I’m here I might as well share that I had a dream last night where Roobee and I were trying to get influencer sponsorships and had to pass tests in order to get the deal - she failed hers miserably, mine was taking care of baby goats and of course I aced it. We then went shopping for a vegan roast to celebrate/commiserate.

I could see her doing something like National Trust/English Heritage tours, a rote script and a faux sense of knowledgeability to ✨dazzle✨ (bore) strangers with.

The fact she doesn’t even have the most up to date version of her own planner on her iPad… surely that would have taken a minute to download before filming this video 😂

And the obvious lie that she’s just “forgotten” about ChatGPT. Also it’s so unclear has previously been sponsored in this video.

I usually don't hear her weird accent as much as you guys do on here (maybe bc english is not my first language) but that part when she was speaking about editing her thesis... I thought if she says TAXT one more time I'll stick a pencil in my eye. Idk why but that was the moment I could fully hear how fake and forced her pronunciation is for some words 😭😭

Also, the Lewis Carroll persona is so far my least favourite one. I think I even preferred the Victorian housemaid over this

she’s not feeling like talking about her degree, which pretty much tells you all you need to know. She’s escaping.
It's becoming obvious that she has had enough of her degree hence the fact that she doesn't want to talk about it and isn't as interested in it as she was before as she is more interested in working on her novel than actually studying. This video is giving me very weird vibes as something is definitely off with Ruby because even back home she isn't her usually bubbly self.

This is so annoying. You're allowed to change your mind about things! No one is going to call her out for being a fake fan of skirts because she used to wear jeans. You can discover a new interest without retconning that you've actually been obsessed with it since you were 4.
You’re not wrong, but also we’re talking about a person who deadpan asserted she ”never wears jeans” while having worn at least three different pairs of jeans in videos posted around the same time. Having one’s interests change is normal, blatantly lying about something as trivial as jeans just to project a certain image is childish and awkward.

Nothing says ”varry organised person who JANUINELY has their shit together and sticks to a routine” like Roobee’s clock app. So many questions. Does she roll a D20 every night to decide what time she’s going to get up? Does she activate all of them, just to be able to say she NAVVER snoozes her alarm? Am I abnormal for only having three alarms (one for weekdays, one for weekends, and one that’s not on repeat that I can set when needed)?
View attachment 2967450

Time in general is meaningless. Is it April? Is it January? Is it whenever bluebells were around last year when she was working on her nature lapbook? Roobee cares not for these earthly matters!

My clock app looks like this too (but worse, with many more alarms at random times with cryptic labels) because I set alarms for different purposes and then never delete them so they tend to accumulate BUT I have adhd and definitely don’t claim to be organised 🤣

Apparently Dakota Warren is writing a book. So that's Jack Edwards, Dakota and Ruby all working on their 🌟debut novels ✨ at the same time. Place your bets, who'll be published first?

Martha keeping up the dice even though they make her mom sick has the same energy of Clare and Ruby making almond cake for every single family occasion even though Martha doesn't like it
Good for Martha, she's got herself the skill and freedom of driving so she's already surpassing Ruby in regards to 'adulting in the real world.' Martha may be a bit much, but she does seem to manage to work and drive now, and make friends. She'll calm down and grow up much sooner than Ruby. Must be weird being the younger sibling to grow up faster than your elder supposedly intelligent sister.

Ruby's dissertation sounds like a disaster but I bet she will pass. I just don't think it will be publishable.

The way her handwriting looks... Gosh, she needs therapy. She starts big but quickly goes smaller to the point it's almost illegible. Her upper zone (which stands for intelligence) is still nonexistent. Her middle zone (which stands for social life) is shrinking rapidly. Her lower zone (the subconscious thoughts) are never going back to the baseline. Nowhere in life she is satisfied with herself. I have saved quite a few of her writings from over the year just to see how it changes... well, it doesn't. The most concerning thing is that it doesn't matter if it's a poem she wrote or a journal entry or a letter, if you look at the right side of the page, you can see how she has plenty of space to write but simply chooses not to - regardless of format - which can be a sign of ED. She thinks subconsciously the words are too long to fit the paper, it will be too much, and she must start a new line.
It's really sad, but at least she has no declining lines or inconsistent pressure...
She needs therapy, guys, serious therapy.

Graphology is a pseudoscience so this is a huge stretch.

It's also a lot of sugar. Ruby doesn't show much savoury food. It's always donuts, vegan snack bars, cupcakes, croissants, sweet pastries, fruit porridge, cakes and whatever else I'm forgetting to list. I'm not judging - I like sweet foods too - but it's just noticeable.

I know that this is supposed to be a smile but this is my sleep paralysis demon. I don't actually understand why she looked at this photo and thought that this was a nice photo to post with this facial expression
Isn't her dissertation due soon? How does she have the time to travel so much during such an important time for her academic career? I say academic because I don't see her entering the workforce soon. I just took a state exam to become a certified judicial interpreter. I have been preparing for months, the test is notoriously difficult, and I mostly stayed home after work to study. I love going out but I had to prioritize this time to accomplish this big goal I've had for the past two years. Ruby is in a post-graduate program at an extremely competitive institution, her dream school, and yet she doesn't seem committed to this project at all. She claims she loves literature but seems uninspired and detached. If I were at Oxford, I would devote more time and energy to succeed. Being able to study at a post-graduate level with the freedom she has is a massive privilege. She doesn't have to work or support/assist her parents financially as many of us do. She has no responsibilities yet she squanders this opportunity. She is a deeply foolish person.

Is she a CHILD?? Even in undergrad you know you don’t prioritise hobbies /part time work over a dissertation if you can help it 😦

Does anyone else feel that Ruby's dislike of Jane Austen is rooted in internalised misogyny? She is the mother of romance novels. She literally created the romance novelist blueprint and many of the tropes we romance readers love. Look, I get it, we're all entitled to our opinions of authors and I'd even go so far as to say I think Sense and Sensibility is Austen's weakest book due to the lack of conversational breaks in the narrative but honestly I'd never ever see her as anything less than a genius who was able to give so much with very little waffle or unnecessary expostulation. There is SO much depth in her books too that often gets ignored and Austen lays out the awful choices women had at the time and actually how miraculous that her female characters get to be people with agency, choices and a goddamn happy ending that very few people actually got to have. I can't help but feel that for Ruby, she sees this as weakness. Austen isn't seen as important by men. Men who run institutions and like important books about no man being an island or navel gazing while feeling like shuffling off the mortal coil. Love is weakness. Female desire is weakness. Happy endings are weakness. As long as there are lots of words and a man's need to dominate the academic space is preserved then all is well. I'm just reeling from Ruby's rejection of Austen to be honest. I don't understand why the story of a bookish, waspish, observant and very private genius who wrote the original "we don't fix men, they fix themselves or they can swivel" plot line has completely passed her by. I'm just...........incredulous....
Ruby doesn't have discernible sense of humour, much less an appreciation of irony - without those she will never appreciate Austen. JA is also a wonderfully precise writer, who conveys meaning in economic prose; Ruby is a waffler and her literary tastes follow.

Does anyone else find it interesting that Blakeney now only hangs out with Ruby if it's for some kind of freebie PR event?
It's been that way since finishing Exeter. I personally suspect Blakeney is still bitter that Ruby practically abandoned her in that cottage during their final year for no good reason.

I can't believe she takes herself seriously while recording that cringe 'poetic' voiceover.

And how does she have time to do this? Doesn't she have an Oxford masters level dissertation to write?!

The messiness of scuffing up a charity livestream is unreasonably annoying to me  Just a bit of organisation and effort would take her such a long way. Why does it all have to be so half-arsed? Surely it's not that difficult? We've seen her days, they're hardly jam-packed so she can take a few extra minutes to make sure people are donating properly if she really cares about the cause.
It's shameless really, but if she's not in a position to keep the money for herself, she'll put as little time and effort in as she can. She doesn’t care about any charitable causes.

No doubt her management dragged her towards doing a charity stream because there's been a big push on social media towards boycotting/deplatforming celebs and influencers who aren't openly supporting Palestine. It's a transparent tactical move to cover her ass, otherwise she wouldn't have bothered at all.
