Completely understand why people in their 20s might still want to live at home. I myself absolutely hated uni, and felt really homesick throughout (and ended up spending most of my time at home, opting to commute in my third year), so I can understand her reasons for spending so much time at home. It’s also so difficult to be financially independent these days, with the cost of living and everything, so moving out is a really big thing.

but with Ruby, it just seems weird and, to be honest, pretty sad. She seems to have a really reclusive life - she lives in the middle of nowhere, is dependent on mummy and daddy to drive her around everywhere, doesn’t seem to have many friends. The teaching job, although it was hardly much, at least it was something and got her out the house interacting with other people a few times a week.

its just sad that she chooses to live like this, when it really can’t be healthy for her. And even if she doesn’t want to move out, surely she would be happier putting herself out there a bit more, and meeting new people, getting some kind of job.
I know what it’s like to be unemployed, and spending most of your days at home with little to no purpose, and feeing incredibly lonely and isolated. I don’t get why she chooses to live like this, when she has the opportunity to do so much more with her life.

Ruby's poems
Are nothing more
Than random words
On a page
And pressing enter
A bunch of times
And they don't
Even make sense

I think she’s got in (statistically the odds are in her favour) and she’s waiting to do a larger announcement in a video, when does the PG term start at Oxford? Do we think she’ll be able to hold out until then to announce it? I think if she hadn’t of gotten in she wouldn’t of quit her ‘job’.

I know it is a bit early for a new thread suggestion but how about Ruby Granger #38 Pizza, Placenta and Poetry

I think she'd have quit either way, personally. It was just something to pad her CV for her Masters application with a last-minute example of a "real job" and she won't keep doing it if she doesn't have to.

If she got in, it's served its purpose and she doesn't need it anymore. And if she was rejected, she won't be applying again next year so she won't be needing it anymore.

Just checked out the reel. I can’t lie I almost would’ve enjoyed it if she didn’t put on that voice so much and the placenta wasn’t mentioned …it is nice to see her doing something new for a change and maybe it’s me but I tend to find all reels/TikTok’s cringe to some extent anyway unless they’re actually telling/teaching you something. She definitely looks healthier in that colour palette and much more stylish in those lines / style, an actual woman in her 20s! It doesn’t help she is so short. I have the same problem but I tend to do the opposite and if it’s too young in it’s fit I won’t wear something, as I will really look 16 not just playful lol. Re Oxford, I think she might have got in after all, she does seem very energised/putting lot of effort into new content not just photos. If not, I hope she actually feels she has some closure in her life and might start to branch out a bit at least by September..

Hi guys, I'm fairly new to Ruby but quite quickly found her insufferable so came to see if there was a Tattle thread for her and of course there is!

I'm curious, and I'm sorry if this has already been discussed in depth before, but do you think she *genuinely* does all of the things she claims to do in a day (writing poems, learning Latin, researching random topics), or do you think it's all for show? I wouldn't be entirely surprised if she actually did these things because it does seem she enjoys being a know-it-all, but is it all massively exaggerated?

But what would she gain by postponing the acceptance announcement? I mean she could start shooting her morning routines as a future Oxford student and milk the acceptance for content already.

Welcome!
The short answer is: no, she doesn't do all these things in one day, and instead adds activities from multiple days into one video. Hence the frequent outfit and daylight changes.
For a fuller answer, and more background research in general: check the Ruby wiki page on the top left of the page, next to the tread title. Lots there to start your rabbit hole...
Happy tattling!

Definitely not - it's all for the camera. She feeds off people thinking she's extremely productive and knowledgeable when she's the exact opposite. I'm at the same uni she went to, doing a course which has a bigger workload than hers. I spend maybe half the time studying that she claimed to and I'm outperforming her (so far). Her only talents are having a good short-term memory and an ability to pass off others' work as her own. I feel awfully sad for people who take her videos at face value and beat themselves up because they think they're not as hardworking as her when, in fact, it's all a mirage. That was me once, then I realised how ridiculous the seven outfit changes a day, sudden lighting changes, and other continuity errors were.

I just think she got in because she followed Mansfield college on Instagram around the time acceptances came out. Surely you wouldn’t follow a college you’d applied to after you‘d been rejected by them. unless of course she was trying to bait us? 😂 is Ruby that deceiving?!

"Open, friendly, welcoming. Mansfield has the highest state sector intake of Oxford colleges."

Ruby is not going to like this.

Or ferocity. All of these options are just as stupid when talking about a placenta. PSA: if you have a placenta that needs severing, trust a medical professional. Do not ask Roobee to help.
Maybe she means 'voracity'? Eww. Who severs placenta with voracity? Or veracity? I have had children. I cut the umbilical cord myself with the help of my midwife. It was very emotional, happy, exciting, gentle. We um, set the placenta aside and no one did anything to it with veracity or voracity.

Hearing 'stubborn placenta' is a bit triggering for me actually. My close friend had some difficulty passing the placenta after her birth. Won't go in to details but it was a bit of a scary time for her husband and also for me, I was there as her support person. (all went well eventually)

Rooby is actually so so stupid. I'm disgusted. Horrified.

I think she’s following Jesus too (the college, not the Messiah).

I saw that message, too, and yes, you're completely right, why would you torture yourself by following a college that just rejected you. It would really hint at that she got in, but I really wonder why would she hide the fact that she finally got in... What would she be waiting for?

Yes, who knows... she might be building an Oxford-like library in her house and pretend she's studying at Oxford😁.Next level deceit after the usual one month footage cut into "productive Afternoon in my life"👽

It seems quite strategic to apply to this mature student Mansfield college- know it’s good but she obvs gave up on one of the prettier ones like Jesus or Christchurch

The 'story time' tiktok  This girl is so bleeping pretentious.
A fictional storytime where she says she travelled to the Arctic by boat while trying to find passage to the North Pacific and found a mad scientist at the North Pole and saw a giant undead monster. And still the least believable part is when she says she made the effort to stay in touch with her sister.
