Honestly, I got a headache from this video. 17 minutes and 11 seconds of confusing nonsense. I see that she is trying to be active during the 'back to school time' because that is her niche but put in some effort.

I skipped through that video as I mostly do. But I saw the mattress greeting their viewers again. The mattress needs its own channel!
her acting as a school kid coming out of the house and getting into the car was ... wow. whyy??? and this drinking thing ... was that an organisational tip? isn't drinking something you do ... erm ... well, regularly?? But I guess she uses drinking as not to get hungry.
does she do those kinds of videos now every year after the summer break? it's getting a bit boring.

victorian ghost child is back

is this title better: "50 or maybe more tips for organisation for school everybody knows and uses but I show you anyway because I need to show the free stuff I get and because I'm bored and don't know what to do"?

This is so sad! Organisation tips for school? She's not even a uni student anymore. She needs to stop clinging to this school content and either quit YouTube or do something more interesting.

I didn't watch the entire video because it's 17 minutes long. I'm not at school, so have zero interest in listening to Ruby waffling about the value of post-it notes. To make it extra annoying, she pronounces all of her 'e' sounds as 'a' sounds. It's particularly noticeable here. For example, desk is DASK.

Another issue - 50+ tips is way way too many. These could be condensed into a smaller number of points.

The regression is something else. For anyone who doesn't want to watch the video, this is a screenshot of Ruby in full school student cosplay mode.

Here she is doing GCSE-level 'types of volcano' homework.

Recycled footage? What recyled footage? Ruby is simply enjoying how autominal it is this August.

Person in the comments section disagrees.

Well it's definitely more accurate. 😅

So I haven’t been anywhere near this thread in such a long time but why does she feel the need to keep posting back to school stuff? She’s now a graduate, surely she should be putting all those back to school things away? None of her tips were even decent anyway, now she has even less to relate to. Is she really just going to keep putting out the same content every time august comes around? She needs to grow up, move out and maybe even get a part time job so she can socialise with people.

By showing her planner in the video Ruby is making it very obvious that it is not selling, so she is continuously having to promote it so that people end up buying it.

Jack Edwards is being paid to advertise a new Anne Frank movie
I thought Jack also took the charity's money, so perhaps Ruby's advert is delayed and we should brace ourselves...

... I suppose it's progress she isn't considering herself to be 11 years old at Hogwarts...unless she's picturing herself as having been moved up a few years due to her academic brilliance.

That’s it, I’m gatekeeping geography, I genuinely love this field and I hate to see her use it to seem ”smarter” when she actually has a very average understanding of it, just like she’s done with astrophysics not long ago

Do you think she’s insecure about not being in stem? I know some people consider it a more (stereotypically) intelligent field than literature and idk it seems like Roobee keeps using it to fulfill her genius child fantasy

Just waiting for the day 35-year-old Ruby Granger, a decade into her gap year, living with her rapidly aging parents and sleeping in her Victorian twin sized bed, posts back to school videos where she pretends to be 12

She’s still very young, like I didn’t do anything in my early 20s either to be honest (hence why I’m finishing my degree pushing 30). But I mean, the difference is I was rather broke and couldn’t seek help for my mental illness (hence why I job hopped) and/or afford school. Ruby has the money to seek help and has SOME connections, at least. Ruby has never worked an actual job before, I wonder how she’d hold up.
She doesn’t want to work. She wants to be a professional student.

I had to check the playback speed on YouTube because I thought I had accidentally set it to 1.5x speed 💀 she has clearly just made a 30 minute waffely BS video then sped it up so it's a 17 minute waffely BS video.

Also as others have said - just because you repeat one tip 50 times doesn't mean you gave 50 (sorry 53...sorry 55) tips

Jade is insufferable in many ways, but in terms of becoming an independent adult she's definitely leagues ahead of Ruby. But I guess it depends what you mean by success haha
well maybe if Ruby believed in casual magic a bit more she would also be successful 🤪 Ok, but seriously, both of them are so delusional their own ways and engage in performative activism while benefiting from privilege. Jade talks about sustainability yet flies/travels so much that her carbon footprint is bigger than the average person's. The same with Ruby being sponsored by a brand that makes plastic dresses. They'll continue to fool their viewers into thinking that everything they do is "productive" while doing a long list of meaningless tasks and never actually getting real jobs because of their family's money and sketchy sponsorships. Most of their thinking and "intelligence" is surface level.

I know this is rehashed to death (and I didn't realize why it mattered until now) but the amount of old recycled footage from...what seemed to be her high school days? Or keeping her old high school work is very odd to me. I admit to having some old high school stuff laying around from when COVID unfortunatley decided to destroy my senior year, but the fact that she has this in BINDERS? is just...bizarre.

Did Ruby, who spent ages yarping on about moving and reorganising her writing desk, move it to the centre of her room just for filming?

Not sure what the square is covering in the top left. I'd be more mortified about exposing my mattress to my audience 👵
her room makes me cringe, the fact that she is so unbothered about filming this state of squalor tells me that it is considered completely normal in their house.

Lol, don't worry about it, I went back to uni last October, when I was 39! 🤣 I graduated in 2004, worked for a while and now I'm studying Communication Science and English Literature in Germany. Loving it but wouldn't consider listening to Ruby's "advice". German unis are different to UK unis anyway (I went to uni in Glasgow before) and I have a job and an active social life, unlike a certain Victorian ghost child. 🤣

fellow communication scientist in her (late) 30s here! 😃 I finished my Bachelor's during the first year of covid. I'll get my master's at the end of the year when I'm 37. Never followed Ruby's "tips" because why should I when I had my own strategies? Long study hours never were my thing and I certainly wouldn't start in my 30s.

I still have most or at least some of my school stuff from when I was a child/teenager. They have a certain nostalgic value. But I don't keep then neatly in a folder. They are stuffed in a bag. I went to some of it with my husband and we laughed at my artistic skills as an 8 year old.

(I'm procrastinating work, but I really should start so that I can work on my master's thesis later today...)
