On the topic of Ruby becoming a teacher 100% agree with everyone saying it is not for her. You can’t go into teaching hoping it’ll help you mature, you need to have matured beforehand and be in an adult mindset. I’ve just finished my 1st year of doing primary education and can’t imagine Ruby managing the class I had. The teacher and TA were always there to help me if things go too out of hand, but there were times when I felt really overwhelmed and I wonder how Ruby would manage if a lesson she’d meticulously planned didn’t go exactly to plan. You have to be flexible to allow for disruptions and often I was planning around the lowest ability and worst behaved pupils to ensure lessons could cater to everyone and limit opportunities for misbehaviour. Ruby would definitely only pay attention to the top pupils and even then some of them can be quite naughty because kids play up. She also wouldn’t dream of going to the non Russell group uni I’m at (although Durham offers the course) and might struggle to manage coursework and placement as PGCEs are very intense (although I’m not certain about what they involve as I’m not doing one) and she probably won’t have time to continuously re-read and change work.

It’s nice to see Ruby feeling comfortable in a crop top though, normally she’s still wearing a jumper in the blistering heat!
So her best friend is Natasha now?
What happened to Ruby + Blakeney BFF forever and ever?

Wtf am I looking at? How is that her leg? Or is it not? I'm so confused.
I'm pretty sure she is *meant* to be doing a low lunge (looking at everyone else in the background) but she felt the need to do the stretch completely incorrectly and probably injure herself just to prove she is the most flexible vegan there is

Oh damn. Not that surprised tbh, Ruby strikes me as the type to move on from people quickly once they're no longer useful/relevant to her.

Also I googled "Ruby Granger Natasha" and apparently she was already Ruby's best friend back in 2019 - she was in a video back then. Maybe she just got temporarily replaced by Blakeney lmao

i'm a teacher and was going to say the exact same thing lol! teaching is a hard, challenging job that changes on a day-to-day (more like minute-to-minute) basis.

I've spent so long staring at this trying to figure out what pretzel-limbed horror is happening here. Is that her leg? That seems...not physically possible. Also, the people in front of Ruby are lunging forwards, but Ruby looks as if she's lying flat on her stomach.

Maybe the heat has caused a delirium and I'm hallucinating floating Ruby limbs. It's not yoga, it's a mirage.

"life experience", huh?
How does she have such cool parents and turned out the way she is 😭
Also does anyone else find it weird that when she talks about the past, she always refers to it by saying which school year she was in at the time? She's always so specific about it as well lol, I'm a similar age to her and have no idea which school year I was in when different things happened haha, most people would just be like 'when I was little' or 'when I was around seven'. Even saying a specific year would be less odd🥴

Ahh, forcing your child to play truant so you can go and get pissed up at a festival… something that is seen as totally fine and a ‘life experience’ when you’re a middle class hippy, but totally unacceptable if you live in a council house 🥴

I feel like Ruby going to these vegan conventions/events is really bad news and will only push her further down the ED rabbit hole. I could totally see her being brainwashed by extremist vegans and going raw/fruitarian.

Isn’t it spelt “Isle of Wight”?
Yes, it's Wight. If I remember correctly, it got its name from the Old English 'Wiht' which means weight. It's from the view point of a seafarer who imagined the weight of the land mass and the work involved in order to 'lift it' up and out of the sea.
Like someone said probaly autocorrect but if she were bothered she would've proof read and corrected it. In Year 3 my class went to the Isle of Wight for a few days but I was sadly sick that week so I had to miss it. I still haven't been but it's one place I'd love to visit one day.. Just to be able to say I've been and of course to make up for missing it when I was a child.
