It's the roundabout way she goes about it, without ever coming out and admitting "Actually, I'm struggling. I don't enjoy the course as much as I thought I would, I'm finding my dissertation more difficult than I expected ..." etc., that infuriated me so much. It would be so much easier to respect her if she was honest and people would be far more understanding. She doesn't help herself; but if she was open for once, she could help so many of the young, impressionable people who follow her.
At this point, the best thing she could do is take a break from YouTube and social media after university finishes, and figure out who she is outside of it. She's spent all of her teenage years creating content and that's bound to affect your relationship with yourself and other people. It warps your self-importance and entitlement, skews your perception of your "celebrity", and it would be so beneficial for her just to step away for a bit and take the time to just be herself, rather than the Ruby who is constantly performing for the camera and for the Internet. And therapy would also help.
That chair needs to be upholstered asap! With some more durable fabric that can hold up during 14-hour study sessions.
she implied she study for 12 hours yesterday on her insta stories. posted a pic of her desk at 9 ish am (or with the clock set to that time) and another one at around 8 or 9 pm and it said 'study day done'

Mind you, when I compare my life to Ruby’s I feel a lot younger than I am, even though I have had a lot more life experience. I just feel... I don't know...more like a student? Not sure how to explain it. Less rigid in my attitude perhaps? At the same time, when I was her age, I was a lot more mature than she is. But I moved to Glasgow the same year my parents moved to Brussels, so even as an 18-year old student, I only went home twice a year. And that was before social media or even Internet access at home was a thing. Not that I wanted to be home all the time anyway! 
Well sometimes when you see her thumbnail or picture from afar you may think she's a grandma. Also she has that "grandma" energy around her but not in a good wholesome-wise way.Like me, for example?

I was going to comment on this, too - three drafts should be more than enough if you’re starting out with a viable argument. Of course we know she didn’t.
This is just a worse version of the time she went three times over the word limit for an essay before cutting it down.
Nobody is going to congratulate her on being incredibly inefficient and creating more unnecessary work for herself.
I'd wager a kidney that those weren't quick revisions to clean up errors and structure, either. She's likely fully rewritten it from scratch or near to it seven times over because she has no clue what she's doing.
I'm sure she thought people would be VARRY IMPRASSED with that seven draft reveal. It's definitely an extension of her "I ALWAYS write thousands of words over the word count" nonsense; she thinks it's a sign that she's working harder than everyone else, but it's just highlighting that she's incapable of following the assignment structure and easily goes off the rails and wastes all her time on irrelevant stuff. It's especially hilarious coming from someone who presents themselves as a master of planning and organisation.

How VARRY dare you! You should know by now that IF she’s taking her time over seven drafts, it’s only because six drafts weren’t quite enough enjoyment! You should always enjoy what you do, and if you’re not enjoying it, do it for longer.
And if she’s gone over the word limit ever so slightly, or gone off on minor tangents such as gift-giving theory, it’s only because she’s IMMARSING herself in the academic experience. Which she JANUINELY enjoys, as you know from the lists she’s written of ”things to tell myself to convince myself that I like studying.”
Hi, new here, but I no one I know ever wrote more than 2 drafts of their dissertation, surely if you revise it 7 times it's going to bear no resemblance to what you were originally writing about?
Seven drafts!? I've barely done two!
a few people I know managed to get great grades for their dissertations despite writing half of it on the day it was due

I read this in her voice.
We're all assuming that a 'draft' means what it normally means, but there's every chance that this is a Rubyism and all she's doing is putting a semi-colon where a full stop had been.
My thoughts exactly! Because I refuse to believe she has written more than 70.000 words overall, which she would have if she has written out seven full drafts... that would be almost as long as the first Harry Potter book, I think... That would be a ridiculous amount of work, and a truly bizarre waste of time, surely not even Ruby would be stupid enough to do this??
I realize I’ve done this before, but it bears repeating: yes. Yes she would. No matter what it is, no matter how stupid/inane/selfish/redundant, she’s definitely capable of it.
