I can't recall which video it was, but when vlogging leaving one of her therapy sessions she cheerfully announced that she'd completed her X number of weeks.

It's impossible to know for sure without more information, but given everything we know about Ruby, it gave the distinct impression to me that she just viewed therapy as another task to tick off (or part of the influencer starter pack that she only did because other influencers her age were openly talking about therapy so she had to do it, too).

After her last session, she rewarded herself by marking it complete and called it a day. She clearly still needed professional help, so it was bizarre to just stop going, and I can't see any therapist making any progress with her in such a short time.

It's entirely possible she's started going back and hasn't talked about it, but I doubt it since she's been on a downward spiral for the past year and a half. I can't imagine her being honest with a therapist, self-aware enough to acknowledge and admit her problems, or humble enough to want to accept that there's something wrong with her and that someone else can help. She's a narcissist and a compulsive liar, I can't see her opening up and being honest to a therapist, and a therapist can't do much if she won't.
I spent like an hour trying to find the vlog where she talked about not needing to go to therapy anymore, but I also can't remember which one it was. (But I remember being annoyed by her sentiments about therapy at the time). Maybe it's one that she ended up deleting? But she does talk about her experience with therapy in a May 2020 video titled "an honest mental health update" or something to that effect. If she thought that therapy was at least sort of helpful and she wanted to prioritize her mental health, (as mentioned in her "I plan every minute of my life" video in Feb 2020) them why did she stop going? It's so obvious that staying home at the start of the pandemic caused her mental and physical health to take a complete nose dive, so why didn't she try to restart therapy at any point in the last two years? I don't believe she has gotten any mental health help since the start of the pandemic, which is a shame. In an effort to try to find that clip, I re-watched little bits of some of her old videos. She has always had her issues, but at least pre-pandemic she was more tolerable. She looked and acted a lot happier, she was healthier, and while she has always been a proponent of doing mindless busy work, at least she could string together a semi-coherent sentence back then. It really is a shame that her ED has ruined her life.

On day five are we going to get a video titled “another, another, another, another productive study day” 🤔

After failing to eat again, Ruby states that the key to motivation when your brain is flagging is just to change study locations. Why not go study in your student kitchen or family kitchen? You know, places were there is definitely no thoroughfare of people wandering through and it absolutely won't distract and inconvenience everyone involved. Speaking of inconveniencing people, why not swap rooms/desks with your sibling? (There are all genuine suggestions that she offers.)
Haha, I've actually done all these suggestions. (Student kitchen barely gets used and at most I've seen people come to make themselves a cup of coffee and my siblings and I only swap round during exam season if we're both wanting to do a mock, so I'm lucky that it doesn't actually inconvenience everyone, of course if it was, I wouldn't be doing it). I'm just shocked she doesn't mention libraries? Is she just not on campus enough to remember there's a location that is designated for studying?

EDIT: Are there any rules that say you're not allowed to share what your dissertation is about? The only explanation for such a lack of an overarching argument that I can think of (other than Ruby being Ruby, which seems good enough to me) is that she's choosing not to share, for one reason or another.

I'm guessing it's matcha powder since Ruby is incapable of straying outside the same 5 ingredients.

She already posted this on her "vegan" Insta account, I don't understand why she needs to plaster this ED-baiting bullshit on her main account, too. And it's an undeclared ad for Manilife, too. Even the spoon was gifted. Shocker.
Ah, forgot about matcha! Same thing applies though, only matcha tastes better and isn’t actively out to kill me the way spirulina is (it’s a super rare allergy, 0/10 would not recommend)

I just think that she looks really ill and fragile in the most recent photos and she just looks so comfortable in that outfit. It is a really random comparison but my dissertation is about the forcible feeding of suffragettes in the local prison, and she makes me think of the images of suffragettes who have been on hunger strike and when I see her now. I'm just really wanting her to get help as she is going to damage her health in the long term.

Ah yes, I sympathise. There has been a content drought lately. 😂

I love how the Easter bunny hats have made the profile pics extra amusing. @morganmichelle look, yours fits perfectly on top of Ruby's head and she looks so pleased about the unique fashion choice. It also fits in with the magician's tailcoat.

Hahaha I didn't even log back into here until now. That's funny how it's a perfect fit!!

Sorry for coming back to this point, but I just realised what it reminded me of: Jurassic Park dinosaur footprints! Does anyone remember how cartoony dinosaurs would always come with that THUD. THUD. THUD. sound effect whenever their feet touched the ground? Yep, somehow Ruby slammed her cup down with such force it sounded like a T-Rex from the '90s.

Skimming through that video a second time and it doesn't look very comfortable. While Ruby's lucky to have the outside space (& the birdsong is nice), the sun is bright enough for her to need sunglasses, yet she doesn't move to somewhere more shaded? Also, the chair's too far from the table (notice how she's sitting right on the edge) and the table itself isn't really the type designed for studying, so she's forced to do the laptop hunch.

It's so sad to see how baggy her clothes are. I didn't watch the video, for obvious reasons, but that dress now looks about 2 sizes too big. Also, how can she study or read anything with the sunshine being so bright?

I think in British English, parenthesis using brackets is valid. We consider parenthesis as being through brackets, commas and dashes, rather than just brackets, as being pretty similar. It's a tonal/register difference, but grammatically it's usually fine.

I went to her video and paused it so I could read. HOW is that an essay by a final year English Literature student, currently sitting on a First? HOW.
I'm probably overthinking it but maybe she's just a truly talented, one of a kind troll. She knows we scrutinize every frame in her videos. She could have written a shitty essay page and pretended that was the real one just to mess with us. She knows putting frozen peas in oatmeal is disgusting but also knows the reaction it gets here. This would also explain why she constantly ED baits in her videos - she's a troll who doesn't care that she's hurting people. Okay I'm gonna take off my tin foil hat now.

Why do I get the feeling she’ll run out of time to get the thing finished, bound and handed in? Back when I had to do mine, there was a wait-time on the binding because one little copy shop in the campus was trying to do everyone’s binding all at once. I think I did mine a few days before and there were queues even then. Surely with all those revisions Ruby is doing she’ll leave no time to actually get the thing bound, unless it’s a digital submission?
At my uni we submitted our dissertations digitally last year

I for one was glad to see the fringe go because she has spent the majority of her life hiding her big forehead and that's just not a healthy way to live. Eventually you have to grow up and accept your bad features instead of obsessing over hiding them.

Ruby starts her day with a small prayer to the Gods of Productivity.

"Dearest Productivity Gods, please grant me nothing but First grades and the opportunity to steal more charity money. Notion bless me. Amen."

But Ruby remembers that it's kinder to be grateful for the charity money you already stole than to wish for more to steal.

View attachment 1221963

And then she smiles, because she has a lot of stolen charity money.

View attachment 1221964

Ruby continues to not know how emoticons and emojis work and accidentally gives the mention of waking up with a smile a weird, suggestive tone.

View attachment 1221965

Ruby was evidently just grinning at nothing for the better part of an hour, since she claims she woke up at 6:30am, but it's a while after 7am when she gets out of bed to turn off her alarm.

View attachment 1221966

View attachment 1221968

Ruby starts every morning with a breath of fresh air, because breathing in the dust, mold and dirt that permeates every inch of her room overnight must be hell on the lungs.

Her mind must still be on all the charity money she swindled, because she starts grinning like a psychopath again.

View attachment 1221969

After bodychecking with some morning stretches, where Ruby mentions that she's "fallen out of the habit of doing yoga", she brushes her hair so violently that you'd think it owed her charity money. She's audibly snapping strands of hair with her brush and it sounds painful. Ruby's already losing her hair through malnutrition, but she's helping her eroding hairline along by straight-up yanking it out at the root.

View attachment 1221970

The end result is a hairline as patchy, full of glaring holes and painful to look at as her videos.

Not satisfied, she angrily twists her fucked-up hair into a bun and is apparently ready to start her day.

View attachment 1221971

Ruby grabs a stagnant glass of water that's been gathering dust overnight and chugs it down.

View attachment 1221973

She's once again pretending to read while brushing her teeth, but all she's accomplishing is ruining a perfectly good book. The cover looks new, but the pages are speckled with stains/mold. Ruby spitting all over it for her morning "Oiy'm syoo spashul!" affectation probably isn't helping. This is one of two separate montages of Ruby brushing her teeth while pretending to read in this video.

Remember, Ruby is an avid bookwork who ALWAYS takes care of her books.

After that, it's just ten more minutes of the exact same rehashed shit we've seen in every other video.

View attachment 1221879

Ruby stares at laptops and claims to be REALLY enjoying "STODDYING" while looking so miserable you'd think she were reading a court order forcing her to return the charity money she took.

Ruby waves her eating disorder in everyone's face, lovingly preparing tiny servings of the same 4 ingredients for every "meal" (with peas in Shreddies, naturally). No more than a couple of bites is eaten, and no full, substantial meal is prepared.

The whole video is just the same thing she's shown 5,000 times before, only she looks on the brink of collapse.

It also feels like she's been on Tattle again, because she's fully doubled down on the denial and contradictions while attempting to address and debunk the criticisms from here in the most laughably lazy and unbelievable ways.

Ruby pretends she doesn't actually hate her pets, even though she instantly forgets that one of her dogs died last year (that or she just reused months-old narration). When she's playing with her dog with her mum, she obviously never does this usually and just parrots all the things her mum says and does with the dog.

Ruby: "Breaks are VARRY important!"
Also Ruby: "Breaks should be productive. Here's 95 hours of tasks crammed into one fabricated day, good luck keeping up with me while also taking breaks!"

Ruby: "I ALWAYS loiyke tyoo disinFACT moiy laptop AVVERY noight as part of moiy daily rootineee." (Lazily swabs a couple of patches of her laptop outer shell.)
Meanwhile:
View attachment 1221975

Ruby: "My room is VARRY cold ALL THE TOIYME!"
Also Ruby: (Leaves the curtains on her single-glazed, no insulation windows open overnight to let all the cold air in, so that she can "wake up with the sun"...only to wake up hours after sunrise and immediately open all the windows.)

Ruby: "I need things to be clean. I can't concentrate if it's messy."
Meanwhile:

View attachment 1221982

Ruby spends a tonne of time telling us she's always hyper-productive and accomplishes many things all day, and ALWAYS HONESTLY gets engrossed in her work and distracted from the world around her because she's enjoying it SYO MOCH, and she's getting ALL THE WAHHRK done on her dissertation. But she shows no evidence of any of that. Then later complains that she has trouble staying focused on things.

Ruby: "YASS, this video was filmed across tyoo days becoss my grandparents were hyarr and it wouldn't be reFLACKtive of moiy actual day otherwise."
View attachment 1222006

What about every single other daily routine or "day in my life" video that was filmed across multiple days/months? Do your grandparents visit you every single day, no matter where you are?

If she'd been saying from the beginning of these vlogs, "I have a lot of shit to do that I can't film, or things that filming would distract me from, so this is more of a recreation of a day in my life than an uninterrupted record of an actual day" then nobody would've mentioned it.

Instead, she fabricates a timeline where she has 76 hours of productivity crammed into a single day to make all her young, naïve fans jealous that they can't accomplish as much, and will inevitably work themselves sick trying. And Ruby once again addresses criticism with 3% truth, 97% lies. This video is like 4+ days of footage. In the first time she's ever acknowledged filming on multiple days, Ruby admits to only two.

And she's lying to herself, as well.

She complains throughout this video that she finds it hard to concentrate in the afternoon, or can't be productive at bedtime. It's lunacy, and Ruby handwaves her inability to concentrate or stay focused for the majority of the day away as just a sign to switch to different "tahhsks". She doesn't consider the glaring ED-lephant in the room as the root cause of her brain's inability to function or focus.

She doesn't mention her bizarre compulsion to always be at least pretending to be busy (while accomplishing nothing) as a stupidly misguided and toxic thing.

She shows yet again that, alongside the 689 planners, trackers and to-do lists she claims to use, she's going to make another one for overall tasks.

View attachment 1222009

But she makes sure to include things she's already completed so that she can instantly cross them off and reward herself undeservedly to fool herself into thinking she's not floundering, and trick the audience into thinking she's accomplishing big things very quickly.

She's fully committed to childhood regression again, and casually mentions that she goes to say good morning multiple times to her parents in the same two hour morning, as though she's terrified they'll run away the second she leaves the room. Then her mummy indulges her with tea parties in the garden while she dresses like a child.

View attachment 1221987

Ruby confused her "Writing for Children" module with the "Writing to Traumatise Children" module, judging by the nightmare illustrations she shows.

View attachment 1221988

Her book is a Christmas story for kids, but Ruby clearly just drew an alien in a wig:

View attachment 1221993

She aims to hand this in as her final assignment for university and not only pass, but get a first.

View attachment 1222007

And her dissertation isn't looking any better, either, since she's still trying to build it around stolen ideas she's cribbed from Liz Stanley and that AI "let the algorithm do your research for you" app Genei (which she advertises, yet makes no mention of her relationship with the brand or that they're a paid sponsor of her).

View attachment 1222004

It's no wonder she keeps having to rewrite this shit after every meeting with her dissertation supervisor, but Ruby still hasn't solved the core problem that this barely-tangential nonsense has almost nothing to do with English Literature.

And this is why we'll never get another Dissertation Diary. She's still no further ahead than she was months ago.
In the first few stills, when she's getting up, her hair is parted in the middle and imo it already fits her better than her normal side part

To be fair, that is generally what it’s called in the UK - typically you write a long essay and call it a ‘dissertation’ as the culmination of your undergrad studies. The only time I’ve ever heard people talk about theses tends to be for a PhD, it’d be strange to hear an undergrad talking about their thesis.

The StudyTubers all seem to make very heavy weather of it though. When I was at uni, yes it was a longer piece of writing but it was just the equivalent of a single module - or it was possibly the same as a double module, I can’t honestly remember but whilst it was important it wasn’t this massive production, it was just a longer essay. I remember it being the case that years ago if you didn’t write a dissertation you couldn’t get an honours degree (at least that was the case at my uni) but that changed a long time ago and it was just another module that you could take, or not - what ever worked for you.
Yeah, was just going to say I know these things are reversed on the other side of the pond- I did my MLitt with a Canadian girl who got really confused when we were talking about our BA dissertations.

I'm pretty sure a dissertation still is a pretty big part of an Arts & Humanities degree. I did my undergrad ten years ago but my MLitt in 2019-2020 and we had a couple of people in our group who had gone straight from their undergrad to Masters, and the experience was the same. If it was a single honours degree, you had to do the dissertation unit (and it was the equivalent of a full module, it just took place over the majority of the year with the advisory stuff included, but the actual 'writing' part of the module was a term), but if you did a joint honours (so, English Lit and History, or English Lit and Theatre etc) you got to choose a) to do a dissertation and/or b) which subject to do the diss module in. For the English Lit, Creative Writing and Practice degree where I did my undergrad, they could either choose a Lit dissertation, an extended portfolio piece for Creative Writing, or crazy people did both.

Also, was thinking- an MA/MLitt dissertation is only another 5000 words, give or take. It seems a lot but even that extra wordcount wouldn't allow Rubix Cube to do all the 'exchra rehsurch' she is intent on shoe-horning in.

I'd love to read the mess, I honestly would, even as an exercise in my future career lol (hoping to pick up some teaching in my second year of PhD).

Are you in America? I'm only asking because inpatient treatment is much rarer in the UK. It's possible to be having a severe episode of mental illness and still be refused inpatient treatment.
Nope, I'm in South America. Mental health isn't a priority here.

But I'm assuming since if she's going to therapy she's going private, she could have the means for that. I don't think she's in therapy right now though. Because Roomba knows best and obviously chewing tea is enough to survive.

Her parents are totally enabling her ED. In one of her "daily study with mes" Ruby mentioned that she went swimming with her dad which I found kind of sad given that all Ruby cares about at this point is exercise and consuming as little food as possible.
Does she even exercise nowadays? I thought she's too busy writing her tHeSiS.

Also personally I don't see anything wrong with her dad taking her swimming - it's a really enjoyable activity and I still do it a bunch with friends as a way of socialising. Doesn't have to be intense either and at least with its time limitation and her dad being there it could be quite beneficial to her.

t's okay to look a tree and think "yes thats a tree"
Lol! Also, your username made me laugh. Who knew Ruby's dead fly would be reincarnated as a Tattle user?!

'She didn't look after me properly, just left me on the windowsill for days'. 🐜

Ruby's already reached her deranged Secret Garden, 'gorping at all the mundanities of her backyard like she can't function because it's so beautiful' stage of living at home.

View attachment 1225580

Unsurprisingly for someone obsessed with firestarting and trying to burn things down, she's most struck by the shade of brown in the bonfire. Fitting, too, because that shade of brown matches the bullshit she's coming out with.
🎵 I'm a firestarter, twisted firestarter 🎶 Pyro Ruby strikes again.

Oh btw she’s definitely not reading The Brothers Karamazov (don’t you know that’s written by a foreigner?!), she’s reading this book: https://www.panmacmillan.com/authors/marlene-wagmangeller/once-again-to-zelda/9780330536899

It’s a book about interesting literary dedications. I believe it’s one of the many tangents she’s tied into her thesis. (Of course it doesn’t look like she gets anywhere past the first page or so, so it’s probably all for show as usual. She’ll have cribbed the content from somewhere, with someone else’s critical insights.)
Oh you're right! What a relief.
