I thought this breakfast looked more appealing, but then saw something greenish in top of the image and thought 'god I hope it's not broccoli'. Is it just me? Does anyone else see this? Pea paranoia has reached its peak.

I can’t get over that she went with her dad, when every other ‘studytuber’ there came solo - not just that, but people she knows! Even if her dad was in London, from the looks of her stories so was her mum? So why didn’t her parents do something for the day and let Ruby be an independent adult for once!
Unless, of course, the Downton execs invited daddy Bones as an “influencer” in his own right…

I was thinking about this randomly but where do you see Ruby in the next ten years, five years in the future? What do you think that she will end up doing? As I can't imagine her doing anything adult like at all.

I'm still confused about just what her dissertation is about because I've heard her mention letters, gift giving and kindness and apart from letters I'm struggling to see how she's linking it to literature it seems more like a very niche history of The Victorians

I also find it impossible to believe that she hasn’t at least made reference to/ acknowledged the controversies surrounding his relationship with young girls while it is very much speculation, rather than proven fact, many prominent biographies of Carroll discuss it and that’s the point of any academic criticism - acknowledging multiple viewpoints!

I could be wrong but was Ruby buttering her crumpet? Unless it was vegan butter. I know that many vegans don't have ED but for Ruby veganism is simply a way to restrict even more so I'd be so happy if she was reintroducing some animal foods into her diet, she needs it badly...

That's all true. I think I was wondering more about her physical appearance though, and whether she knows just how thin she looks. AFAIK most anorexic people don't look in the mirror and think 'wow I look too thin', so perhaps Ruby genuinely doesn't see how unhealthy she looks. Not trying to defend her ED posts at all - I know she's been called out multiple times for her tiny portions etc - and it sucks that she hasn't listened to those people.

she started body checking once her weight loss was noticeable so I think she is aware.

Her poor young fans who thinks that this is what they should look like at the end of uni.. no wonder she’s losing hair..

Do you still call it ”studying” when you’re (presumably) just putting the final touches to your dissertation? Or is my ESL showing

idk to me it just conjures up the image of trying to learn something, instead of creating/editing written work. I wouldn’t call it a ”study session”.

Orrrr it could be she’s still trying to cram a few more secondary sources into her diss just to pad it out some more, in an effort to make it seem relevant or coherent.

I was really shocked to see this. Definitely seems like something Ruby wouldn't wear. This is an adult dress, how is our Victorian child dressing like an actual woman?

I don't want to try and diagnose her with anything, but as an autistic woman around her age it seems pretty likely to me that she has it. Obviously every autistic person is different but like her, it took me a lot longer than my peers to grow up and become more independent. I also have extremely poor organisational skills and easily lose track of household tasks. It's quite sad really because I can't even imagine how much harder it would have been for me growing up if I'd been broadcasting my entire life to the internet. I wish that she'd quit being an influencer and just spend time privately figuring out who she is as a person. She surely doesn't need the extra money, she can afford to take time out.

I don't see why it's surprising that she went to see it? Just because she has a very sheltered life herself doesn't mean she wouldn't be interested in a show about different experiences I've never fought in a revolution myself yet Les Mis is my all time favourite show

I completely understand where you’re coming from, I more mean I’m surprised because Ruby has specifically tailored at least her broadcasted love of musical theatre to only those that fit with her “gifted child” mentality like Matilda, even when she’s mentioned darker shows like Ocean At The End of The Lane or Dear Evan Hansen it’s been limited to her knowledge of the books before hand and DEH she heavily focused on it being set in a high school rather than the tough issues it faces which she never mentioned - she just seems to shelter herself (at least from what we can see in her videos) especially from things involving a huge focus on adult messy romantic relationships as well - if she genuinely enjoyed it all the better for her and that’s awesome I’m just surprised is all

Even so, I have image of her with papers strewn all over her floor hours before the deadline, still crossing words out to get the count down For someone who makes to-do lists every day and time blocks her day, she’s really not been organised at all with this dissertation. At this stage she should be checking for typos for the last time and submitting it.

Yeah like I get that some people are just like that (my boyfriend is a grad student in Mathematics and he always always procrastinates till the last minute to do stuff, I get anxious for his assignments before he does lol)
But I really don't think Ruby is one of those people

Not usually undergrad, no. PhDs generally are and sometimes masters depending on the uni

YES. Her hair used to be soo fine (even hair hairline was nice, would you believe it) and at the beginning of university she would at least braid it or do some stuff with it. nowadays it just looks so sad, it’s the same feeling as with her house - i desperately want to go and make something out of all the unused potential. (my hair is crap so i kinda envy her)

I'm wondering has her hair already started to fall off and it's so fragile she can't do hairstyles, because it would speed up the process? And if not, she does know it eventually falls off if she doesn't eat, right?

Gosh, her scalp is in full view in the thumbline of her new video and...it looks really bad. I was scrolling my Recommended page and had to do a double take when I passed that. I feel sorry for her, I know hair issues are very hard for women to go through
