She's trying so hard to preemptively cope with the possibility of getting a low mark on her dissertation.

It's probably because you or I would try to make sure that what we wrote was relevant to the question/topic. Ruby clearly goes off on tangents and writes about irrelevant things that she then needs to spend time cutting out. She's NOT a role model for students.I honestly don't understand how someone can get 2000 words over their word count. I am writing a 1500 word essay for uni and I'm so close to the word count and I have no idea how to reach the final goal xD
Idk what to tell you, it’s a banana peelbut it looks like there's something on top? I see the banana but I don't just see a banana peel?
It's Ed and Tim and someone else that I don't really recognise much from her vlogs. I think Will and a few more people are still in Cambridge too, she said her friends and social life was a big reason why she wanted to live in Cambridge after being stuck at her parents' house after graduation, I don't ble her.Which uni-friends did she move in with, do you know? I remember Ed and Astrid from her vlogs. I haven't watched her in some time, though. For some reason her work life isn't as interesting to me.
Oh and I have been asking this before but if anyone knows why PaigeY's friend Astrid Francizska deleted her youtube and insta let me know. I used to watch her lots back in the day.
Yeah I do get what you mean, Ruby has centered her whole online image of basically being like a Victorian child and she never really seems to talk about 'adult' stuff at all. I guess we can never know what goes on in her head and maybe she isn't as childish as she lets on but this is her persona now so she has to stick with it kind of thing. You might be right in that maybe she just ignores the more adult themes in these kinds of show since she basically wore a primary school summer dress to go and see it lolI completely understand where you’re coming from, I more mean I’m surprised because Ruby has specifically tailored at least her broadcasted love of musical theatre to only those that fit with her “gifted child” mentality like Matilda, even when she’s mentioned darker shows like Ocean At The End of The Lane or Dear Evan Hansen it’s been limited to her knowledge of the books before hand and DEH she heavily focused on it being set in a high school rather than the tough issues it faces which she never mentioned - she just seems to shelter herself (at least from what we can see in her videos) especially from things involving a huge focus on adult messy romantic relationships as well - if she genuinely enjoyed it all the better for her and that’s awesome I’m just surprised is all
Yeah, I can't imagine undergrad dissertations being published unless it's a first which we all know won't be the case for Roobee. Not usually undergrad, no. PhDs generally are and sometimes masters depending on the uni
My friend and I watched her when we were much younger and loved theseHow did you even find this? Are there more? lol
I have wondered why she doesn't wear a school uniform when she can easily fit in them. It would be very Ruby thing to do.The new outfit post on her instagram really helps illustrate just how much more confident she looks in anything resembling a school uniform... She's positively glowing!![]()
Does she actually like Hermione anymore? I can't remember when was the last time she spoke about Harry Potter. I liked when she dressed like Hermione. At least she wore normal clothes, skirts, long sleeve tops, cardigans. No weird Miss Patina clothes or that ridiculous tail coat. I'd like her to go back to that, to wearing normal clothes. Her Hermione syndrome is showing again. Not being able to get your point across within the word limit is not a flex Rubella, your professors don't care if a fictional character got good grades doing the same thing. I feel sorry for her advisor, imagine not being able to tell her to fuck off already.
Awesome haha. I wish I spoke Chinese so I could navigate my way through the siteMy friend and I watched her when we were much younger and loved theseShe is Chinese and found them.
I guess when you put her name in the search bar there more will come up but there are many recent ones too.
Really need to get to using this as I tend to be a bit chaotic do my references manually and did a whole undergrad dissertation with about 200 footnotes manuallyShe should really be using referencing software! Most university libraries offer info sessions on how to use this software. You can either get a free subscription through your university, or you can download free ones, such as Zotero. She'd be able to make her bibliography in one click.
I wonder what Ms Granger’s thoughts on “Grindeldore” will be?There is quite a lot of academic work done on this! Due to the way women have been represented (or NOT represented) in the past, women take on the men and apply their version of romance to them (think Wincest, Sherlock/Watson, Merlin/Arthur and other big gay male pairings from the last however long). It's why we see a lot of hurt/comfort and other types of softness in fanfiction.
Heartstopper falls into this too- the boys are incredibly sweet toward each other to the point where it is a little unrealistic, but it's not written by a man.
to second this, she actually seems pretty decent and jealous of her straddle jumps ngl The only thing that grated me a tiny bit was her “Birani”, I can here my old coaches shouting in the distanceto be fair - as someone who got to grade 12 trampolining in secondary school alongside cheerleading and other similar sports, she isn’t BAD so much as I think she seriously underestimates her weight against the elastic grid trampoline rather than the standard home tramps. Proper trampolines can go a lot deeper bc when u rly get into it like Olympic level, and ur say a 5”10 man, you need to get a lot of bounce before doing the crazy stuffs. And to reply to @zoeanned from previous thread, when Ruby’s bouncing on her back she’s just doing backdrops it’s honestly a lot more controlled than it looks. I’m about Ruby’s height (5”1ish) but much broader build but as a teen I would go rocketing about, her tucks are much cleaner than mine ever were to be honest but she’s clearly too scared to go into them without generating a lot of power beforehand so she just shoots off. I know this is just very long winded but just my two cents cos tbh getting out the house and interacting with ppl can’t be a bad thing for Ruby , it’s just dangerous she’s going to be doing it presumably with low blood sugar and far more prone to passing out. My instructor kept a lil box ofnature valley bars so we could have a snack cos most of us came straight after school
Fair enough, if it works, it works! Although in Ruby's case it's just musical chairs to keep her from focusing on anything for more than 15 minutes.Haha, I've actually done all these suggestions. (Student kitchen barely gets used and at most I've seen people come to make themselves a cup of coffee and my siblings and I only swap round during exam season if we're both wanting to do a mock, so I'm lucky that it doesn't actually inconvenience everyone, of course if it was, I wouldn't be doing it). I'm just shocked she doesn't mention libraries? Is she just not on campus enough to remember there's a location that is designated for studying?
EDIT: Are there any rules that say you're not allowed to share what your dissertation is about? The only explanation for such a lack of an overarching argument that I can think of (other than Ruby being Ruby, which seems good enough to me) is that she's choosing not to share, for one reason or another.
Yes that’s what I meant and I’m in the uk. As @Deeznutslol said, even if she does fit the criteria, she may not even get the option to go to inpatient if she ever gets to that point.I'd say it also depends on the country and medical guidelines, too, also on bloodwork and the overall image you're presenting to the clinician. I'm not based in the UK, though!
And regardless, Ruby's fucking with her health long-term. But it's all for the ass-thetic, sure.. fuck off, Ruby.
Exactly. I can't think what any of them are getting out of the arrangement tbh.But the event was focused entirely on the costume designer of the show. Like, why the fuck would these three be a suitable fit for that? They aren't history buffs. They aren't fashion vloggers. Fashion victims, maybe.
Unless she decides to gift her knowledge upon the world and publish it on a website herself under guise of “inspiring the youth coming after her that they too can over coke anything, even the bullying she experienced, can achieve a university degree”Yeah, I can't imagine undergrad dissertations being published unless it's a first which we all know won't be the case for Roobee.
For my MA at UCL we were given a contract of sorts basically saying whether or not we wished to have it published/shown to future students as examples/etc.
So I doubt we'll ever see Roobees dissertation...shame
