My biggest takeaway from that video is that Ruby's surface-level interest in things is perfectly exemplified in how she claims Timothée Chalamet is her favorite actor, yet she doesn't even know his name (calls him Timothy Chamalet).
I still can’t believe she read call me by your name since she’s so anti-relationshipMy biggest takeaway from that video is that Ruby's surface-level interest in things is perfectly exemplified in how she claims Timothée Chalamet is her favorite actor, yet she doesn't even know his name (calls him Timothy Chamalet).
She must be going for a sort of Lolita lookView attachment 361476
If I knew a 20-year-old had been given one of those for Christmas, I'd assume they were into some weird kinky tit
There's a scene with a peach in that book and film that I just...cannot imagine Ruby reading.I still can’t believe she read call me by your name since she’s so anti-relationshipprobably just likes the pretty writing and the ~aesthetic- of the it all
The mother is involved in all this in a really weird way and lives vicariously through Ruby's success. The mother's Instagram name has the fake last name "Granger" in it, for crying out loud.I just watched her video and there's a bit where she talks about receiving these mouse plushies which... fine, I get that they may be sort of collectives? But then it shows her mom playing with the mouse and saying "we're gonna have hours of fun aren't we Ruby" and this just bugged me. I don't know what it is exactly but this statement seems like something a parent would say to an 8 year old, not a 20 year old woman. I very often have to remind myself that I am, in fact, younger than Ruby, because when I watch her videos I 100% feel like I am watching somebody younger than me.
I don't think she has in-depth knowledge of.. anything. I think she does most things just for the aesthetic of it all, which must be easy to fake for a weekly video. My biggest takeaway from that video is that Ruby's surface-level interest in things is perfectly exemplified in how she claims Timothée Chalamet is her favorite actor, yet she doesn't even know his name (calls him Timothy Chamalet).
Oh my god I'd pay to see Ruby's reaction to the peach scene-There's a scene with a peach in that book and film that I just...cannot imagine Ruby reading.
thing with the youtubers who get loads of designer goods, their audience usually expect it. With ruby however, she has a very young audience who look up to her and often write in her comments how they want to be like her etc. They’re impressionable and she’s meant to be relatable to them. I hope they don’t compare themselves to her as everyone’s financial situation is difference and a lot of her audience are probably not as privileged as herSoooo...I calculated the prices for all the presents Ruby received this Christmas and it adds up to about £800 - bearing in mind some things were from oxfam/depop which have fluctuating prices, and somethings i couldn't find like the bobble hat and the camera lens. £800 is a lot to spend on one person for Christmas but definitely no where near the other YouTubers who show off their 50+ designer presents, so take it as you will I guess
She also mentioned in the video that this is just her immediate family and that there is more to come from extended family like grandparents ....Soooo...I calculated the prices for all the presents Ruby received this Christmas and it adds up to about £800 - bearing in mind some things were from oxfam/depop which have fluctuating prices, and somethings i couldn't find like the bobble hat and the camera lens. £800 is a lot to spend on one person for Christmas but definitely no where near the other YouTubers who show off their 50+ designer presents, so take it as you will I guess
do we think she’s actually seen any Timothée Chalamet films outside of Call Me By Your Name and Little Women? He’s the fashionable guy to like right now, it seems like she’s basically saying what she thinks people will relate to...My biggest takeaway from that video is that Ruby's surface-level interest in things is perfectly exemplified in how she claims Timothée Chalamet is her favorite actor, yet she doesn't even know his name (calls him Timothy Chamalet).
