I too am disappointed in Molly, I thought her unfollowing of Ruby over triggering content was good but she seems to have backtracked, possibly in order to keep being friends with Blakeney she has to put up with Roooooobeeeee? I dunno, but I am convinved once they finish the degree, Blakeney and Ruby will drift apart.

How complicit are Blakeney and Molly? She needs better friends. Friends that are willing to tell her what they really think, that don't care about her following. That are honest.
iam more disappointed with Molly, because as someonein recovery for an ED (who has met up with other people in the recovery community and has a lot of people following her for the reason) - how can she publicly endorse Ruby’s behaviour/content like this?

At one point I had a theory that Molly initially did unfollow Ruby due to an ED (or denial of an Ed/triggering content to be specific, not the ED itself). I then wondered if she re-followed after Ruby committed to recovery.

For Ruby’s sake as much as anyone’s, I want this to be true.Yet it been several weeks since I began this theory and if anything she looks more haggard, more tired…note that I am not talking about weight! In recovery you can sometimes see a delay in progress here and success - especially if you develop hyper-metabolism / shouldn’t be all pinned on it.

Yet if she truly had committed to recovery, one thing would be noteiceable - he face and eyes. That is why I honestly can’t believe Ruby is in recovery and why - for both Molly AND her followers, it is a toxic relationship.

I can’t understand why Molly would choose to spend time with Ruby, and likes every post she does etc. When Molly made her comeback, she was very much moving away from the ED recovery persona and seemed to be discovering who she is as a young woman. Why then spend time with a self absorbed, inarticulate person who wants to be a child? Disappointing.

Can you imagine if Blakeney and Molly just wanted to hang out on their own but Ruby kept tagging along like an annoying little sister

Tbh I think Molly is just a standard clout chaser. From what I understand, she already had a following from her ED recovery channel, and now that she’s recovered from the ED she needs some new content and to expand her fan base a bit so is just using Ruby to get a leg up.
Also, Molly’s content is already very similar to what Ruby puts out (look at me vlogging my very easy middle class life, watch me sit and read a book in my lovely house in the home counties/west London, now I’m going to spend £12 on 1 latte and a croissant in this boujee cafe etc), but there’s only so far that can take you, so I reckon she’ll be trying to expand into some more academic / booktuby type content in the near future which she can use Ruby to help with too.

In two or three years, when they've all graduated, and Molly and Blakeney are working real jobs, and want to spend their weekend relaxing and maybe (god forbid) going for drinks! Ruby will be left on her own, people won't indulge this childish behaviour forever

This!! I have to admit I felt captivated by Molly's content first -- it seemed like a fresh air compared to Ruby vlogging to her Victorian heart's content. However, after having watched a few videos it all feels rather shallow in Molly's vlogs. She's going quite the extra mile to provide a "bubbly"/London/aesthetic feel to her videos but that's all there ever is. She's turning self-care into an indulgent middle-class aesthetics. I'm curious to know how Molly will cope once she's back to Oxford.

lol I posted this in the Holly thread by accident, and I haven’t even had a drink yet 🙈 Let’s try this again. I desire most respectfully to see your least flattering screenshots of Roobee and would like to open with one I call ”Just bleeping swallow it like an adult!”

A rare sighting of her normal smile (recent post from mothergranger... still find it weird her mum also uses the Granger surname)

She doesn't live in W London, she lives in SE.

Eep. I didn’t know it could be a sensory issue and in any case, I’m not here to specifically make fun of someone for swallowing in a particular way so I hope I didn’t offend ❤ Bottom line, Roobee is ridiculous and silly screenshots just serve to highlight that, and that’s all I was going for.

Imagine if Ruby thought her musical skills were as good as her reading skills:

Hello, it's ROOBEE, today I'm going to play my very favourite song, Fight of the Very Busy Bumble Bee, which I can relate to very much, a song musicalized by the famous composer you may not know of but I know of do to hours of research on musical history and theory: Handle.
