Why can she just not recognize and share that going home was a pretty selfish move and not their greatest decision. I live in the US and haven’t been home since December 2019, the Irish Community are all in this together and I will not be traveling home until Ireland is in a safer place. I’ve always liked her, but I think this is the final straw - just own it Erica, you behaved liked a 21 year old on a J1 who hasn’t seen their parents in 12 weeks. Just show an ounce of acknowledgment and what you’ve learnt and majority of people will move on.

Hey Erika so as you stated on your video that people are jealous you are back in New York and that you aren’t jealous of people in Australia so why would people in Ireland be jealous. To catch you up on the key difference - the Irish government advised everyone living abroad to stay away from Ireland at Christmas. They advised. Yes legally they couldn’t force people to not return but they strongly advised. You ignored it and I remember you said you contacted the airline and they said it was fine for you to travel. Of course a privately owned airline who is losing money wanted your money.

If you stayed in New York and showed lockdown life there, people would’ve respected the fact it was difficult for you and that you were doing what’s good for everyone.

just to let you know, living in Ireland we can’t travel beyond 5k. We haven’t seen our families in Ireland, in the same country. But you were able to travel from New York, and via Dublin most likely and then to Kerry. So wondering how you were able to break beyond the 5k no problem. Are we all fools in Ireland? Or maybe we just are in it together trying to get through it and it’s difficult to see you fly around and do whatever you want. It’s just the lack of respect you .

Says they had to quarantine in another country but doesn’t say which and says she didn’t want to say anything until they were back ‘safely and tested negatively’ - how stupid does she think people are, she didn’t mention it as she knew there was a chance they’d be refused at the border, if that wasn’t the case then why not just say where they went?
Also the trying to be mindful of others but we need to understand she lives in a different country and life is getting back to normal there. Think about this Erika - no one would care about life getting back to normal in New York and you therefore carrying on as normal if you had STAYED THERE which was the government advice. It’s the fact you deliberately ignored it to go to Ireland for Christmas and then have swanned off back to New York thinking you can pull the wool over everyone’s eyes about how you got back, clearly you knew it was a dodgy risk you were taking otherwise you would be more open.

Some epic strops and tantrums must have been thrown when she was hoping tommy would come home too and he didnt. Of course he misses his family, we all do.tommy could of course have travelled to ireland if he wanted to, noone would have stopped him but clearly he has a sensible head on him and showed some maturity and said no. Fair play tommy, stay strong and i hope you get a closet in your next apartment. You deserve it. She stayed offline so much hoping people would forget she travelled for non essential reasons. "It's possible to travel safely" - so why isn't everyone flying off on holidays??

She travelled all the way from NYC to a country where the people can't go further than 5 km.... and she thinks it's totally fine and "safe"?

She is super selfish. If everybody travelled and ignored government advice it would have been a total shitshow, even if everyone did it "safely" and "followed the rules". It's more down to how many people do it not if people follow rules or not, it's an infectious disease like hello . "Following rules" still means there could be a few hundred people sitting together on a plane or thousands in a super busy airport.

It was only "safe" for her because most other people chose not to travel. Idiot.

Hmm she's stocking rigidly to the "it's not my area of expertise" line - so are we to take it that she considers herself an expert on shopping, cooking, chic saucepan sets, fashion, style, hair, beauty, interiors, relationships, travel, walking, bridges...
It's a flawed defence but quite a convincing one from the point of view of her less cynical followers I suppose.

Edited to add, for all her talk of following the rules to the letter, didn't someone report seeing them in a shop in Kerry a few days after they arrived home? And wasn't her sister seen with her boyfriend without social distancing after he finished their alleged quarantine period and went to stay elsewhere? On a dog walk outside of their 5k?
Cos none of that is following rules to the letter is it - all sounds a bit a la carte to me.
