There’s a lot of social and cultural capital to be gained from a little bit of TV. Young children don’t have many shared experiences they can use to bond with others, I see my kids making up games related to various TV shows and movies to play with their friends, it’s still imaginative play but it’s where they get insight into the world before they are big enough to experience it for themselves. As long as it’s age appropriate and time limited I think it’s fine.

I can’t help but think Ben has a sinister motive for limiting Freya’s knowledge of the outside world.
---
Also removing safeguarding and welfare checks that would happen at school.

Grabs of course only cares about 3 things - holidays, her feed, and Ben not making her get a proper job.

I’m always intrigued to know, does Benpaedo know the full extent of Grabby’s over sharing? The fact that she basically outed him as a child groomer on her blog? And continues to over share so much on her insta? Because if he did surely he would have put a stop to it as he seems to be incredibly controlling

She said she ends up carrying them and their scooters so the buggy is easier. Yeah yeah
Thank you ❤

And also, Grabby can say no to stomper - as in 'no I'm not carrying you you'll have to walk'. She can say no to tv, but not to carrying a 5 year old 🤷‍♀️

Ben obviously comes home from his rare working days and finds his children having meltdowns, and not in their pjs perfectly behaved ready for bed and banned TV. And instead of telling him to duck off Grabby went along with it, and is grateful for it. Tell me you're groomed without telling me you're groomed.

I doubt an elderly man Bens age knows the internet's been invented.

Grabby grew up in the 90s - I imagine she watched tons of TV. I have really nice memories of watching TV with my brother after school.
Why do they have to be creative, playing, doing - ALL the time. What's wrong with relaxing, chilling? I'm a big advocate of it.

Well... She didn't have much time to watch TV before she played wifey to the massive creep that is old Ben...

The latest post 😵💫
1. It as Benpecked who decided on no TV (great for dad to stop something that made mum’s life easier once in a while - she admits herself it was easier on many levels)
2. They’re thinking about homeschooling more and more
3. They’ve given up hours of extra time to read to the kids (oh, the sacrifice coming from someone who wants to homeschool)
4. Can’t form sentences and wants to homeschool
5. Banned TV from grandparents as well (I’m sure that went down well with grandparents, what a killjoy)
6. Continues in comments and can’t even pin her own comment to the top #influencermuch
I've just read through what she posted yesterday... WHAT in the bleeping HELL 😱

There is nothing wrong letting kids watch kids TV. We never had it on in the mornings because mornings were always hectic {and kids not up at the crack of dawn} I always had the BBC breakfast on purely for the purpose of the clock for time keeping. When they came home from school, they probably grabbed a snack and watched a couple of hours {or less} of Kids TV and/or were playing, reading and doing homework.

1. Benpeeado is an overbearing control freak prick and to dictate to the grandparents, that the FRKs aren't allowed to watch TV is 😳 {he's VERY persuasive isn't he 🤔} I'm surprised he hasn't insisted that the grandparents install CCTV so he can watch if they're following his dictorial rules to the latter

2. Watching TV isn't the root source of the FRKs behaviour/meltdowns. This is all down to the internet and the delusional wankers on Instagram preaching to the dumb fucks how to parent. ALL the kids who have been brought up the way Grabby has etc. Will have numerous issues later down the line. Gentle parenting is gonna bite these bleeping idiots on the backside. I cannot ever see either Stompy or Ratlas EVER working in the real world either... Just like mummy or Daddy. I'm pretty sure Benpeeado will have set numerous Ltd companies for them by the time they hit 16

3. Let's face it, going to school is tit {in more ways than one} BUT you do learn valuable thing about life. Like you can't do as you please {without consequences}. Socialising with other kids and adults etc that aren't family, is a good thing. You learn lots of things your parents wouldn't be able to teach you. Going to school has a massive influence on us, whether we realise this or not at the time. Grabby couldn't even do uni without her groomer holding her hand for the entirety of her degree and probably doing all the written work for her

4. I think stompy starting primary school has triggered grabby having a relapse {and I'm not meaning just food issues...} as such

5. And I also think something's kicked off at school 🤔 I wonder if they've been called in for a meeting up the school regarding Stompys rancid behaviour {the apple doesn't fall far from the tree}. You cannot tell me that there's been no mutterings between other parents regarding Grabby and the Peeado

And the biggest laugh is... If it wasn't for Grabby going through the education system, she wouldn't have met the un-socialised creepy 24 year old loner weirdo now hubby {eyeing up 13 year old girls} on the secondary school trip 🤣🤦🏻

That's the thing, screen time is nothing new, we all grew up watching TV with no fuss so why the sudden sanctimonious, smug, 'oh we don't let our kids watch any screens any more' crap?! Not just from Grabby but other twatty Insta mums as well.

I fully agree with not giving kids phones and tablets 24/7 if at all when they're young, but some TV time is absolutely fine. Some of my most fond, warm memories are coming home from school, having a warm drink and a snack and watching CBBC or CITV with my siblings before homework, dinner etc. It was a lovely way to decompress after school.

Another thing that bugs me about the TV post is that even before this 'zero screen time' twattery, she used to smugly make out they only watch 'gentle' (🙄) programmes once in a blue moon on a rainy day or during Christmas, complete with Instaworthy snacks and cushions.

Now it transpires that in actual fact they were watching way more than that- most days and in the mornings, afternoons AND at dinner time! Which tbh is a lot! I'm not one to judge normally, but it's really riled me that she makes out they're a family from an Enid Blyton novel, all golly gosh and wooden toys, when in actual fact she used to plonk their kids in front of the TV as much, if not more than, any other normal family.

ETA: just saw her North London post, the most basic thing ever. She makes out she's the only one who knows about these places but yet again she's raving about bleeping Leon which is now nearly as ubiquitous as McDonald's or KFC 😂

Grabby watches plenty of telly herself. She's often talking about what she's watched.
What a frumpy boring bleep she is.

The irony is that Kate Silverton, who is Grabby’s current obsession, wouldn’t have the platform she does without her career in television.

There is just no balance is her life. It doesn’t need to be all or nothing. By all means, limiting screen time for children is reasonable, but there doesn’t need to be an outright ban. This seems to be more about the “not giving in and breaking” than seeing any kind of positive results from her experiment. It’s about control.

She can’t seem to manage any kind of pleasure without feeling guilty for it. Bakes a cake - feels guilty so adds chickpeas, cooks a frozen pizza - adds a side of butter beans, has gelato but only after walking 30000 steps first, has her kids watch some television, can’t handle the guilt so cuts it off completely.

I read recently that children who watch TV with subtitles on are twice as likely to become proficient readers and Bluey and Peppa Pig in particular have a high number of 'high frequency' words. Nothing wrong with a bit of TV Grabby, just pop the subtitles on!

I am living for all these comments on Grabby's latest batshyte post!!

What is more harmful? Drugging your kids or letting them watch Numberblocks or one of the many brilliant (and quietly educational) shows on cBeebies? Filming their every waking moment and sharing it on the internet or the odd episode of Peppa Pig?

Insisting on the grandparents sticking to these rules in their OWN homes is freaking outrageous. But of course they apparently have more energy as retirees than Grabby aged 30. I'd have loved them to have told Grabby and Benpecked to jog on or find some alternative childcare. Lets hope when they're away on their next dreary kid free tee-total trip, the kids secretly get to enjoy endless chicken nuggets and haribos in front of the telly.

Oh to be a fly on the wall at a local mums' coffee morning (that Grabby has been conveniently left out of). What must they all think of her....!!!!!

Through no fault of their own I bet those kids are feral. A few weeks ago Grabonna said she doesn't really play with them and now we know why. Dumped in front of the telly so that she could spend an extra hour on her phone frantically scrolling Pinterest for inspiration of yet more clichéd rubbish to post.
She's been reading here too because she has suddenly pivoted to the 'kids need to be bored sometimes" stance that we have always said on here.
