If she booked a hall for a party or took him and his pals to the cinema that would cost money plus she would need to communicate with the parent's and she is a weirdo , so the cousins it is .
I don’t think he has any friends though. I think that’s the issue. Neither her nor Steve have put any effort whatsoever into Alfie or Woody (at all) to socialise them or help them fit in with their peers. They take Alfie out of school whenever it suits them, they don’t seem remotely interested in his education or development at all and they don’t seem to realise that school is not just where he should learn but where he should be learning how to socialise and be developing his inter personal skills. They don’t make any effort to take him to any activities or after school clubs, they don’t take him anywhere to socialise with other kids (play parks, soft play, swimming etc) he doesn’t go to any kids activities during the summer holiday. They treat him like a toddler at home because they are lazy and have no Interest in putting any effort into doing age appropriate activities with him - reading books together, writing, drawing, painting, playing with Lego or blocks, doing any kind of sports of physical activity etc - Steve doesn’t seem to be at home much and Rebecca dumps the boys infront of a DVD 99% of the time or occasionally leaves them at the kitchen table to draw on their own; they don’t PLAY with the boys - like proper get involved, playing. They pacify them with DVDs and essentially ignore them as much as possible.

He doesn’t seem emotionally, physically or mentally at the same state as typical kids of that age and as they deliberately isolate him and put zero effort into structuring a social life for him I get the distinct impression the poor kid is probably a bit a loner a school and doesn’t have any kids he could call friends.

She chopped some salad and mixed some beans into sauce but is 'super proud' of herself. Jesus Christ. You know, that's the kind of simple thing you'd make with a kid if you were teaching them to cook and wanted them to feel involved. Perfect opportunity for her to get Alfie and Woody involved, but as always with her, an opportunity completely missed.

Ah put a sweet bitatoe into the aga, mixed beans in passata and chopped lettuce.

Ser ser ser supah proud of myself.

It’s actually pathetic that you can get to 28 and be so inept at life that baking a bitatoe makes you proud. 🙄 What did everyone end up eating for dinner that evening, Begsy?
