But with the others there must be some more careful consideration as to what they promote and what they don't which might require them on occasion to say no to ads. Rebecca must surely be the worst influencer out there for employing a gung ho approach and just saying yes to anything which rubs people the wrong way.
Aparrrently her and Steve are rolling in it, so when she takes any old ad and takes Alfie out of school for a holiday cos it's cheaper it just makes her look absolutely greedy? If she explained that her and Steve struggle for money a lot of the time I think perhaps people would be less inclined to complain to Tesco.
Same with her size like when she's making out that she could have got a size 10 dress, she causes people to focus on her weight and point out that she's clearly about as far from a size 10 as the UK is from the north Pole. Where if she just admitted she used to be a size 10 before kids and she's now struggling to accept she's not any more as she works on Instagram and is surrounded by all these perfect figures on a daily, so it kills her to have to buy a size 14 etc etc people would probably praise her in that case...
Rebecca's lack of humbleness and deceit causes people to complain, she could easily put that right but she aren't changing for nobody

I absolutely think people have the right to complain to tesco about using her in an ad. Let’s rewind a little over a year ago, her rant on how Covid was a load of rubbish hyped up by the media. Tesco staff in a way risked their lives to continue working through a pandemic. I don’t doubt for a second that a sizeable amount of Tesco staff have been directly affected by Covid be that a death or illness to them or a family member. Now imagine that same person on their way to work and looking on social media to see this absolute fool promoting the business.
She outright claimed Covid was bullshit but also continues to break lockdown rules to travel far and wide for a walk or to visit a shop (that never seems to be Tesco, how bizarre)
That’s just for starters. She’s marrying a racist, that in my eyes makes her a racist by association. She’s neglects her children, she cares not for their education and can’t cook a decent meal to save her life.
She is the last person that should be making adverts for Tesco.
So yes, do complain because that is the only way these fools will be held accountable for their actions.

In the beginning of influencer marketing it was far easier for them to try to imply that they were simply recommending products they themselves use. It seemed like genuine content rather than blatant advertising and that’s why it was so clever and why it worked so well for brands.
but I think people have got wise to it now and regulations have been put in place to a degree to at least try to make it clear that it’s advertising; the problem being now that the influencers just haven’t moved with the times or changed the way they advertise products. I would be far better if she actually did get given a product to try for a few weeks and gave a more honest review of it or we actually saw her using products daily.
The constant onslaught of adverts all playing out in the same way is just so tedious and completely disingenuous.
“I’ve been using this product for ages/I absolutely love it/I always use this one/I only talk about products I genuinely love” ———— Jesus it’s all been done to death. It’s so boring.

Beggy never shops at Tesco, her general swearing and aggression on Insta and her rant on COVID were shocking. Chuck in her porn hub appearance, neglect of the boys and Steve’s tweets about fat people and racism are horrific. Are these values that Tesco supports?
There does need to be more research done into who companies are using, more than just the number of followers! Hopefully legitimate complaints will create change.

Since those initial discussions it has got worse. The Insta crew think they are untouchable and the #bekind campaign has played into their hands.
If they want to claim this is their job then they need to accept that complaints and performance management are generally part of most roles.
