So the way I am reading the DM report is that he’s spent a month already in prison and the judge could not impose a custodial sentence on him today but it’s back in court next week ?
It’s slightly confusing but it’s been a long week in my defence !

That was the theory I always believed but apparently there’s dna that doesn’t match anyone in the family which now makes me wonder. But overall I still go with her brother done it and parents covered it up.
It’s horrible to think about but I read that someone who has been abused is more likely to be a target for others so it’s not without the realms of possibility that she had strangers dna on her but was still murdered by the brother 😢

Ooh, I wonder if someone will stream it with commentary. I don't think Emily D Baker will due to the case involving children. Uncivil Law might because he has been interested in this case for a while but I know not everyone likes him.
IDK. I enjoy watching Law & Crime's live streams (though I loathe Dan Abrams) with their commentary during breaks. I tried to get into streamers like Emily but I just can't do it. LOL

Woke up this morning to a shooting in my city (edinburgh) a well known man for not good things shall we say. Still feels scary though. Sick of these wannabees.
We’d heard rumours when we heard the roads were closed. Bloody Jane Park has to insert herself into it too.

True Crime shoes people may be interested in this week:

tonight -
The Detectives: Taking Down an OCG, BBC2, 9pm
This documentary follows a specialist police unit over an extraordinary two-year operation to take down Rochdale's most significant organised crime group. When tree surgeons attempt to intervene in a road rage incident on Rochdale's Newbold Estate, the dispute escalates when one of them is attacked with an axe. It soon emerges that the main suspects in the incidents are members of a notorious gang known as the ADAM, and the case is passed to DS Martin Soutter and his small team of specialist officers. They uncover a sophisticated criminal network involved in major drug dealing, widespread grooming of children, witness intimidation and suspected money laundering.

Tuesday 31st:
Rolf Harris: Hiding in Plain Sight, 9pm, ITV1
This two-part doc explores the shocking truth behind the rise and fall of Rolf Harris. It features rare archive footage and exclusive testimony from his victims and accusers, who describe the impact they say his actions have had on their lives and why they chose to come forward years later.
Thank you for those.

This would never happen simply because most criminal justice services that are rehabilitative are densely populated by women. Prison Officers are generally more likely to be male, but even then there are numerous other roles in custody that work with prisoners who are mainly female. Also community staff - I.e. probation - a significant proportion more are female.

For the odd instance that a person gets themselves into trouble by making a foolish decision there’s far more staff who do their jobs properly without any inappropriate behaviour. Men do these things to and it’s not always because of romantic relationships. It can be due to other errors that have led to the ability for the prisoner to blackmail them into doing things.
I understand it would be tricky, working in prison is very unappealing as your likelihood of being assaulted increases. Within the prison environment though it should be male guards with males and same with females. I know that a lot of other workers may be female but relationships seem to be happening every other day so it should be monitored better. I don't think sex offenders should have any contact with a women whilst serving their sentence as its a risk factor. Outside the prison yes it would be more difficult but again it can be monitored.

I wasn’t responding to you. I was suggesting that the OPs comments that women shouldn’t work with men is patronising and/or sexist. Not that woman in particular.
I'm a female myself so I'm not being sexist and I don't think I'm being patronising because there are some stupid females who would happily date a criminal. Just look at levi belfield, he's allowed to get married when he's killed young women! I don't think young females should be allowed to work with certain offenders for their safety too. I never said oh all men must work with men in every single environment I just meant in a prison environment.

@Bread i agree with you he should have never been allowed to have the opportunity to have any sexual intercourse.

My family is from Aruba so I know that stretch of beach where he claims he killed Natalee very well. Joran is a psychopath and liar. He’s told so many versions of the night she ‘disappeared’ that I don’t see why this new version would be believed.

There is no way that he smashed her head with a cinder block on that beach and than carried her out to sea. Firstly, that beach is for tourists. There are no random cinder clocks laying about. Every morning at dawn the beach/sand is cleaned by a digger type machine. Everything, from cigarette butts, to bottle caps are cleared away. This a a very busy beach - security guards patrol and tourists take moonlit walks on the beach as well. Secondly - no blood? On sand? This wasn’t a flat surface he could clean up. Thirdly, he walked into the water, thigh deep and let the ocean swallow her up? Nah, not buying it. On this side of the island, the water is calmer than the other side, and although, she could have been swept away, blood would have alerted marine life and I think her body or remnants would have been found.

Obviously, I’m not stating he didn’t kill her, but he didn’t do it the way he claims he did. He probably strangled her, like Stefany, called his father and they dropped her on the other side of the island, in the deep sea.

My apologies for being graphic. But my blood boils that this dude is still lying after nearly twenty years.
I totally agree. Is this the first time he has officially confessed to the crime?

Was a surname reported for Agnes? ❤ I would be interested in reading about the case if there's any articles/reports. Thank you. x

Thanks for the recommendation, just watched the episodes tonight. What are the odds of every person in a population of 11 being some kind of wackadoodle?!
I think the odds are fairly high when you live in a place so remote!

The Australian also did a podcast on it which I listened to a year or so ago, it was nice to see the faces of the people I’d listened to previously. The podcast was more of an unsolved mystery though.

The photo of the people peering through the window, who took that? Ed himself? Or police inside?
Was after the police went in and did a search I think, they'd arrested him for the least suspicions of the murder of Bernice Worden, by Bernice's son who'd been out hunting that Ed had been around a lot.

Seen a few documentaries on Ed GeinYears ago,my god lampshades made out of skin etc.A very, very sick man.
Though its in B&W of course but is a photo of one of the seats that kind of in the centre of the actual seat is from human skin, though you can't really tell fortunately since its not in colour.
