Is this the one where she’d been to the local shop for nappies or something?
She wasn’t out for nappies. She had been out at her blokes then popped to Sainsbury’s on way back and was in their for over an hour. She got back to our road at 8.30 and just lit up a fag with 2 small bags of shopping and didn’t look upset or nothing.
Then in panic she said the neighbor was in their babysitting. They wasn’t she’d left them. She was on cctv in Sainsbury’s entering and leaving. And I think they had her on the neighbours ring doorbell as well leaving about 6.30 or something. All in all she was out for about 2 hours.
One of our neighbours had a breakdown over it all. Just such a sad situation. We all thought she’d got away with it, because it had been so long.

To be fair, a number of the men caught in those stings have learning disabilities/ very low IQs, and have basically been entrapped by the person posing as a child. And the really dangerous ones are far too savvy to get caught by Sue and Brian from paedohunteruk. I always feel the motivations of members of those groups are a bit questionable, like they seem to find the whole thing a bit too enjoyable.

My own view is that kind of thing should be left to the police, and we should just focus on our children's safety, and who we allow around them. The biggest danger to children is sadly from family/ family friends.

Just to add, I do agree that exposure to porn plays a huge part in all this. There are a lot of men now who are habitual watchers, addicts even, spending hours a day watching. I've heard of men watching it in toilets at work, on public transport even. It's all starting younger too. 30 years ago, teenage boys might get hold of a top shelf mag, or a bluey video which would then get passed around for a bit, but that wasn't a frequent occurrence. Now teenagers are watching it on their phones daily, and not just regular porn, but a lot of really dark, torture porn and worse. It really worries me 😞

I forgot I'd posted on the thread about this tradegy until someone liked it today.

In my post I mentioned that the police seemed to be all over this case. Its taken a fair while. But one way or another hopefully justice will be served.

Unlike the case of 2 middle class Dr's who left three small children alone in a foreign hotel room.

What a sick individual. The headline sanitises what he’s done - it wasn’t a cow, it was a calf and he didn’t have sex he raped them.
the calves kept dying but they weren’t sure why. Turns out he was tying them up by their necks with his belt to make sure they didn’t move whilst he raped them.
Beggars belief that his girlfriend is supporting him!

These are students from an agricultural college and they will go on to work with farm animals. They have only been suspended and will likely be able to carry on their studies. They attend Plumpton College. If you can you should contact the college to let them know how disgusted you are. Currently as it stands it looks like Plumpton College supports animal abuse.
Students from an agricultural college in Sussex kidnapped a grazing sheep, kicked it in its head and whilst it was still alive they cut open the sheep’s stomach, put a firework in and watched the animal blow up.

Has your sister told her husband? If so, how did he react?

Just a hunch, but as the mother just shrugged and wasn’t shocked makes me feel this wasn‘t a new discovery for her. How could she not be shocked?
It may *only* be animation for now but how long before he needs more to get his kicks?

Does your sister have children? I’d certainly not allow their uncle to have any contact with them.

It needs reporting.
She hadn’t done but she decided to tell him on Thursday after we had another chat about it, and he was absolutely horrified and angry at his mother as well. They have two girls, 4 and almost 2, but they’ve never even met the brother as he basically lives in his room and doesn’t socialise - not even when visitors come over to the house. Her husband is disgusted especially as he said he emailed him photos of one of the girl’s birthday parties recently to try and include him because he’s so isolated.

I’m glad to report that they both went to the gardaí yesterday and my sister told them what happened and what she saw. They’re sure that the shit is about to hit the fan as the mother will probably also be implicated and will no doubt either deny everything or make some excuse for the son. I also think she knew or suspected what he was up to but like everything else, she likely decided to ignore it. She’ll also probably support her creepy son and will hold this against my sister especially.

Thank you all so much for the advice and support the other day. I’ll keep you updated x

I cant with anymore nicola Bulley stuff. The husband being blamed and judged for everything he did. Now he's being judged again for selling his house. I wouldn't want to live in the same family house without my partner. She drowned, its simple really. A horrible accident.

I think if you stay with someone after knowing that about them then you are part of the problem and shouldn’t be allowed to keep your kids in your care. It might not be your child in those images but it’s A REAL CHILD IN THE REAL WORLD who has been degraded, hurt and damaged so these perverts can get a sick thrill.

Im torn with the decision to arrest 'someone' for manslaughter. I highly doubt he woke up that day thinking he could kill someone. It was a terrible accident that he will live with for the rest of his life but bringing manslaughter charges is OTT even taking into account his aggresive past on the ice. Its a fast and dangerous sport. Ive seen the clip and it looks like he falls backwards, naturally your legs would come up.
Manslaughter is when you don’t wake up planning to kill someone but your actions (reckless) cause the death of someone… not sure what your comment means

Gypsy Rose has been released today. Only really read about her case properly today tbh but had heard about her. Hope she can live the life she wants now.
if anyone does know this case - what do you think about the boyfriend (the killer) getting life without parole?
Gypsy came up with the plot to kill and talked him into doing it. Obviously out of desperation to escape her abusive environment. But it just kinda seems a bit sad that she has got out and he hasn’t been given a lighter sentence.

for what it’s worth, I am fully in support of gypsy being released and not even sure she should have been imprisoned in the first place - though definitely placed somewhere with mandatory intense therapy to deal with her life.
but the guy she met online was also clearly a troubled teen and I just feel he’s been let down by the system by not being able to have access to therapy too, and instead being chucked in jail until he dies.

but I guess the American justice system is as warped as their gun laws so no hope really

I’m sick of the media using the phrase “child pornography”. It’s images of child sexual abuse.

You don't need telling. It's always a man. Always. 90% of the time it's one they know. I can't even muster horror anymore. Just utter despair.

I’m curious as to why incidents like this are so quickly painted as “far right”. It feels like “far right” is thrown around so carelessly now.

I understand the attacker was an immigrant which has caused a huge amount of anger and unrest… but does that make it a far right incident? I don’t condone it obviously, and I’ve always been left leaning politically (although I feel more and more politically homeless these days), but equally I understand why communities are so quick to anger when it appears that immigrants are quite over-represented when it comes to random acts of murder and violence (whether they are mentally ill or radicalised “lone wolf” type attackers).
They are being referred to far-right because that's what they are. "Far right" literally refers to a spectrum of political thought that tends to be radically conservative, ultra-nationalist, and authoritarian, including nativist tendencies. Unfortunately, I was in the city centre when this riot happened, and I could hear them screaming "Keep Ireland for the Irish", "fucking foreign scum" amongst other ethnic and racist slurs which I will not repeat here. They didn't just want to use this as an opportunity to profit from a horrific incident, but they also wanted to intimidate everyone who don't share the same views as them. It was genuinely terrifying to be there and I had to be escorted to safety, along with other bystanders, by the police. Are you seriously telling me you can understand why these thugs (who refer to themselves as patriots) looted 13 shops, as well as setting 3 buses and a tram on fire?

Ironically, one of the men who bravely defended the children being stabbed was a Brazilian deliveroo driver who has undoubtably given more to this country than the thugs who used this awful incident as an excuse to loot and destroy our city centre.

When you say "the boyfriend selling the house" do you mean that her partner is selling the family home? If so, I don't think that is worthy of discussion her - it will either be to give the children a fresh start or because he can't manage the mortgage on one salary 💔
I agree - I don't remember all the details but I think they'd only moved there a few years ago anyway? Moving to somewhere as a couple is different to remaining there as the surviving spouse; he may want to move back nearer to extended family. Or as you say it might be a forced move for financial reasons sadly. With the dog, again there could be a number of reasons - it's most likely practical in that he's working outside of the home most days so there's no one to be with the dog during the day and give it the exercise and time it needs. However the dog may also be a daily reminder of what happened (not the dog's fault but they may have felt it better all round for the dog to live elsewhere).

The poor man has lost his life partner, and now has to raise their young children alone. I mean if he was in the new cast of MAFS I would be side eyeing him, but the stuff that's mentioned seems pretty normal in the tragic circs.

Has anyone seen the 22 year old stabbed to death on Christmas Eve in Bermondsey? My cousin is friends with the girl who’s been killed.
So shocking. It’s her brother who’s done it who’s 16. They was doing smart whips and she went funny on it, pulled a knife out on the mum and the son in defence of the mum, Stabbed her straight into the chest shocking. She died instantly and had a 5 year old daughter in the next bedroom.
---
Reading that back I feel like I’m gossiping. But it’s every where online now and my cousins beside herself. Bloody sad. The mums lost two kids over all ☹.

I don’t feel comfortable with a new thread for her family. Ultimately they are not famous or seeking attention via social media etc. they are just trying to navigate through a horrendous loss and it’s not for any of us to have an opinion on that as they have to do what is right for them, not what X, Y and Z would do in that circumstance as none of us are living through exactly what they are.
