I can't stop thinking about the Delphi case since the arrest. Seeing pictures of where they were, the loneliness and the terror those poor girls must have felt is terrifying to think about.
I hope they've got their guy and the crime junkie in me is really intrigued by the trial and what could come out.
Me neither, I can’t believe how close he stayed to the trails and it’s taken this long.
I am Not sure how his wife could have not recognised him from the video though, but I do feel for her and her daughter if they didn’t know there lives are ruined now too.
The rail ridge was terrifying and there is no way I would have walked across it.
Although it was remote it was well used though and there was other people on the trails at the time that the girls were taken.
I will be following the trial next year be good if others here were too

Yes they never pressed charges for anything. He’d been watching porn on the laptop in the lead up to raping his baby daughter. Sickening.
That’s exactly right
Poppi Worthington was molested and thus killed by her dad

Just seen this one - made me cross my legs 👀

Best thing that could have happened to him
Also…63….did he not count the days he was ill….!

I remember the Poppi Worthington case and the dad getting away with it :( so sad

who was the family member that dropped the delphi girls off at such a desolate area? i always found it so strange that two young girls went for a walk in a remote area and i always thought maybe they did it without family knowing but a family member dropping them off there is so negligent :(

It was one of there older sister, I see what you are saying about being remote as from the photos it looks desolate, but apparently it was a popular place to hang out and lots of people used the trails. They were getting picked up by one of there dads and it was arranged for 2 hours later. They had a search party out looking by 5

It was an older sister thst dropped them off. Although she herself was a teenager at the time I still couldn't imagine my teenage self dropping off a younger sibling to such a place.

This is a photo that was taken on the day. You can see its not a popular busy trail

It looks like its not popular because of the photo but many stories have said that the beginning of the bridge and the area around it was very busy and well visited by locals. It's also a very small town so this was their main nature area.

The Poppi Worthington case has always stuck with me. Such a awful awful case anyway but the fact the dad was never convicted when there was so much evidence too 😢

This is where they were dropped off.
They were murdered in February. This is a photo that someone who runs a you tube crime channel took on a saturday morning in May in good weather.
The person noted that there were busier trails in the surrounding area however he only came across a local dog walker at this site .

Me too, it was absolutely sickening. The father getting away with it was the worst thing of all. IIRC the police made huge errors with evidence and a nappy (which may have contained damning DNA evidence) was thrown away?

Sounds like he got some karma dished out to him!

...and now we are paying for him to be in witness protection am I right in thinking?
What a mockery - he’s clearly a paedophile and his actions that night killed his daughter. I can’t fathom how he’s a “witness”. Poor little Poppi was monumentally failed by the police investigation too. It’s just so upsetting that that happens and the culprit is scot free. After the above being mentioned I re-googled the case and his sister believes in his innocence. Sigh!

No justice for Poppie because the police team investigating were not fit for purpose is just so shocking and unfair. I'm not usually an eye for an eye type but I hope someone gets to him.

I’m glad that other people also think two young girls being dropped off alone in such a remote area is a terrible idea! And to think they’d be walking across that dangerous rickety high bridge too!!! Crazy.

Regarding Poppi Worthington, the case has been discussed on these threads before. As others have said, the police didn't collect what could have been potentially vital evidence. However, if you read this judgement, you will see there is far more to it.

I've linked it here - warning, it is lengthy, complex, graphic and harrowing but, once I'd read it, I understood why no charges have been brought.

You have differing opinions from experts, the lack of physical and forensic evidence and the cause of death was undetermined. This judge in this report basically said publically that he thought he (the father) had done it but the CPS took the decision that there was no realistic prospect of conviction beyond a reasonable doubt.

For what it's worth, I agree with that judge - I think he anally assaulted her with something and her body couldn't take the shock.

I will be back at some point over the weekend as I have a lot to catch up on!
