Why is it unrealistic? There is intense vetting and security checks on people wanting to join the police. I believe that includes checking their digital footprints. I think the same should apply to anyone wanting to adopt as a minimum. It’s intrusive but necessary

Confused about John's job he worked in sales right? How come some papers are saying he has a child facing role and he used to work in south shore academy as an exams invigilator?

Exam invigilator jobs are usually casual and only for a couple of hours a year so a lot of people do it for a bit of extra cash, so could be that? Not sure about his actual

Why had varleys mother not noticed 24 bruises

Exactly they need to say how old the bruises on his head and everywhere else was cos if they are older she would have seen them then why didnt she flag it she should be guilty aswell.... as part of the adoption process she should have been vetted aswell if I seen my grandchildren with 40odd injuries I would be questioning where they all come from. She changed his nappy and bathed him that day unless he absolutely beat him to death when he got home.

Can anyone say if the medical interventions could cause any of these injuries when he was in resus etc?!?! My mind is blown evil pair of bastards !

I think the fact they stayed together as a couple for two years after Preston’s death through the house move and while the investigation was ongoing tells me everything I need to know about JFM’s guilt and complicitness.

Has it been confirmed if they are still together as a couple now?

The only reference I've seen to anything is on the first day of the trial it was reported they were sitting in the dock with an empty chair between them. I don't know if that was to imply they're not putting on a united front or not.

I’m finding following the trial live difficult for 2 reasons - obviously what is being reported is horrendous. That poor little boy. I feel for those in court having to hear it all and see things too.

The second reason is the live reporting on the Manchester post. As I’m working, I’m not able to follow real time most days so catch up at the end of the day and it only goes so far back so I miss most of the days reporting. I followed the Letby trail and didn’t have this problem, I could scroll all the way back and read the updates from the start of court. Is this a me thing or is it the site?

I mean explicitly mentioning he threw it out of the window (who does that?!) The only reason I can think why someone would feel the need to lie like that would be if a nappy that would contain evidence had been put into M-F's car maybe to dispose of elsewhere, and to cover the fact it was in the car would be it being thrown from the window to him outside. Just a weird thing to tell someone you had done.

I see what you're saying, that could also be true.

I just thought, "he pooed twice", we didn't find any soiled nappies? "I threw one out the window for john to throw away". Would cover a hole in his story because Preston hadn't pooed and there wasn't 2 nappy changes.

trying to figure out his family, this is one sister and then a different sister is the sleep trainer, she has a different name. and then the mother's name is also different.

I imagine the forensic experts are agreeing to this because, if argued by the prosecution, it could be enough to insert reasonable doubt. So i am hoping that any further DNA evidence is clear cut

This was said by the judge in the summing up yesterday in a murder trial so I imagine it's the same in this one. When you add everything together it's awful.

I feel like Jamie is the worst out of them. I feel like the pictures he sent was maybe testing the water. Whether John got on board we don’t know yet but he appears meak and no backbone. He would have known Jamie was struggling and probably being inappropriate.
