I’m sure Sarah is his birth mum, looking on Facebook she also has a daughter who is older and she is still with the family, there are also posts from a man mentioning Preston being his baby boy and Sarah’s mum Debbie has also commented on it so this could potentially be his father? Not sure if I can post screenshots with names

Edited to add I think Preston’s father is also her daughters father too

All the children have P names dont they? I know the mum, dad and probably the gran are awful people too but I am just absolutely gutted for them, I can't imagine how the gran and siblings feel I hope justice is done. It is so wrong that Preston wasn't taken away from these two as soon as the hospital admissions started :'(

I’m finding following the trial live difficult for 2 reasons - obviously what is being reported is horrendous. That poor little boy. I feel for those in court having to hear it all and see things too.

The second reason is the live reporting on the Manchester post. As I’m working, I’m not able to follow real time most days so catch up at the end of the day and it only goes so far back so I miss most of the days reporting. I followed the Letby trail and didn’t have this problem, I could scroll all the way back and read the updates from the start of court. Is this a me thing or is it the site?

I follow the live updates on Lancs Live and a couple of days I've had to check in the evening and been able to go back to the beginning of the days updates so maybe try that site?

I was thinking if the men were in bed doing whatever then had to get up because Preston woke up, sperm could be on their hands and transfer. I hope the prosecution have definitive evidence.

I really hope this is the case… but I doubt it considering the charges and evidence to say otherwise

I read somewhere that he was actually only a teacher for two years, but progressed quickly to head of year. Not sure if that’s true, and don’t know what job he did before that. He was a secondary school teacher and maybe that age group weren’t attractive to him? (Can’t believe I wrote that )
I think his sister had children, so if I was her I would be very concerned about what he might have done when they were babies

I posted that. He was a design technician at the school and then did teacher training in 2019 and qualified in 2021. He was head of year by the time he went on adoption leave. This is screenshot from the Mirror

Could the pathologist find dna inside the body just thinking based of the dna stuff given the fact they are very specific in saying one count of sexual abuse by penetration and this not really linking up with the dna found on pants and toys is that where the 100% guilty will come into it by saying both there dna was found inside of his mouth or anus ? If that makes sence ?

Is it safe to assume that previous episodes of breathing difficulty are likely to have been due to sexual abuse, and as Preston had recovered in the past, Varley assumed he was going to recover from this one? Except he went into respiratory arrest and then cardiac arrest?

Umm. I’m speechless.

On the day my Dad died I wasn’t told how serious things were, just that I needed to get to the hospital. I wasn’t told shown to his bed, went round the curtain and saw him lying there. A doctor came up and told me he was dying.

On the day of his funeral I found out I was pregnant. 3 months after that I was told my baby had a condition incompatible with life and I had to deliver her.

At no point did I collapse on the floor and scream hysterically. I wasn’t told in floods of tears, heartbroken beyond belief but did not act like that. Maybe it’s just not my way, maybe some people do react like that in dire situations. There’s just something about watching that video that makes my skin crawl, maybe it’s because I know what he’s accused of but I literally shuddered!

My impression of McGowan-Fazakerley is that he is an absolute wet wipe who knew what was going on and did absolutely nothing about it.

I'm guessing more will come out about him though and it seems there may be some evidence he contributed to the sexual abuse?

Hope he gets convicted of something and there's no way he didn't know.

Yeah cos in one of the interview he was asked was that your legs and he said no comment so could they have been John's legs and filmed on Jamie's phone

Does anyone get the photo of preston leaning on the cot... is he standing up with his arms and head resting on the bars or is he bent over in a sexual position and left dangling. I dont get the reasoning behind this if preston is standing up asleep resting his head on the bars then why would this account to anything sinister?

Oh God... could the objects have been the sex toys that he wanted his friend to remove. Cant bare thinking about just horrific. He must have been in so much pain what did he do shove something in his mouth to stop the screaming. Surely blood would have been everywhere if he Penetrated him is this what all the baths was for and the reason he jumped in shower and got in to change of clothes.

Think such a small tiny baby and that huge big man, the body can go into shock due to suffocation or crushing the small body with a bigger body by trying to do whatever to it. Sorry that's a bit graphic

This is a good point, I expect part of it must have been a shock response. Poor poor baby

I took it to mean that this doesn’t conclusively point to SA taking place.
The DNA agreed facts have surprised me a little bit. I will be interested to see either what else there is or where the prosecution takes it

Yeah i am surprised was expecting them to say alot more... I think if they cover the bathroom forensics that will show where the abuse took place then it will explain the photos and bath etc...

I know it everyone’s right to remain silent during police interviews, but I find it telling that JV chooses to answer some questions and remain silent when asked others. I am interested in how many wet towels were found, how many items of Preston’s clothes were found with vomit on them and how many soiled nappies were recovered. There may be blood traces in the the nappy of an abused child. The bath seat is puzzling, I hadn’t connected the dots about the bath seat being in the sink suggests Preston wasn’t in the seat that day, but JV mentions more than once about throwing the seat in the sink. JV hunting for underwear, be interested to know if there were any clean pairs of pants in JV’s drawers.

I think this will rebound on him. And I hope it does.
