I'm intrigued as to what the defense are actually gonna say. Maybe they will do a diddy, and not say anything cus it's all pretty damning isn't it. He was alive and happy and now he's abused and dead. What else is there left to say!
Exactly. There’s 2 stories come out during the trial of why Varley “supposedly “ left the bathroom. One was to fetch towels and the other to change his pyjamas. Not that I believe a word but why would anyone choose to leave a baby in the bath to change your own pyjamas![]()
If she bathed him on that day as has been reported she would have seen some of the 30 external bruises on that poor boy. She must have noticed them…I came to say the same thing, she is the hysterical Varley‘s mother. She is speaking the truth, he wouldn’t have died on her watch, only a few hours earlier he was bouncing happily on her knee. I hope she takes the stand.
This is very odd! What does it mean? It seems like she suspected something wasn't right!View attachment 3981109
That’s an odd thing for one of their mothers to say.
How many baths did this child have a day!! I don't really want to know but it's like he was always in the bath!!If she bathed him on that day as has been reported she would have seen some of the 30 external bruises on that poor boy. She must have noticed them…
I don't think poor Preston had a second bath, his grandma bathed him and that was it. The bath story was that disgusting monsters excuse for Prestons collapse, I guess he had to think of any excuse but as has been said by the witnesses, Preston was dry, it was only meant to be about 10 minutes after apparently being found in the bath that he was at a&e so he would've still been wet from the bath if he had been in the bath. How many baths did this child have a day!! I don't really want to know but it's like he was always in the bath!!
I don’t think they get a choice is my understanding but that might not always be the caseI don’t know I think if I reached BNE level I would pick & choose my cases & defending this pos would not be 1 of them
In order to ensure access to justice I don’t think that they can pick and choose. The rules are strict and they can only decline for the following reasons:I don’t know I think if I reached BNE level I would pick & choose my cases & defending this pos would not be 1 of them
Varley is 100% guilty but I'm with you on M-F. I'm curious what theyll have on him. Its just so awful. There are no words to describe it. My heart breaks for that poor baby. Thank god he had great months with his foster parents who sound like absolute angels.I keep reading the court reports and want there to be an explanation that means they didn't harm the poor baby. I miss inferences in the reporting or wonder what things mean. Some explanations offered in here help and also the podcast as they explain the evidence and there's a lot of things that I find difficult to find explanations for.
I think Varley is guilty, no doubt but I'm not as sure about M-F, that may become clearer as the trial progresses. The comments from Varleys mother are very odd in context. I just don't want it to be true and little Preston didn't suffer at their hand and have all these people let him down and fail him who were meant to protect him, it's too horrible.
