Now I’m way along in pregnancy I’m obsessed with my partner I need him around all the time 😂😂 I get upset when he needs to go to work. This only started at maybe 30 weeks mind so maybe it’s just a natural thing the closer I get to due date.
We are really lucky he gets 4 months full paid paternity leave and I just cannot wait til he stops work 😂🥲
Same, he had to go on a business trip for a week when I was 28 weeks and I couldn’t sleep or work, I missed him more than ever before in my life.

Now I just found out he ate all my Ferrero Rochers and we don’t have anything chocolaty left at home and I want to deport him to the moon. 🤯

Anyone else’s baby getting excessive hiccups? It’s like 4 episodes a day and I’m 32 weeks now.. I didn’t panic at first because I knew it was normal but it’s been happening often and for prolonged periods of time and when I googled it some sources seem to suggest I need to go into triage / it might be a cord issue 😭

Hi all, is this the right or wrong thread to discuss maybe getting pregnant.... Or just for mamas and dadas already on the journey?

Yes, I had them 4/5 times a day from about 30-36 weeks, in bouts of about 10 mins at a time, they have calmed down now and I only get them occasionally. I mentioned it in a midwife appt as I was a bit concerned but she said it was a good sign the baby’s lungs were developing correctly 😊

My first CONSTANTLY had hiccups while I was pregnant with him, even now at 17 months, he’s very hiccupy.

With triage, I think the general consensus is that it’s better to go and be checked if you’re ever unsure.

Thank you! I’ll give them a call, I’m not concerned about her movements but it just worries me and seems to be a change as it happens more frequently now

Thank you! I was going to mention it but I don’t go again for about another week and a bit so I knew it was going to worry me in the meantime

Defo get checked out if it’s going to bother you or play on your mind, I hope the midwives can reassure you 🥰 it is a worrying time!

What did you have ready for the baby by week 30? I'm starting to panic a little, I ordered her crib and some parts are missing so now I'm not sure how long it will take to sort it out, I also ordered her dresser a month ago and they said 4-8 weeks but they still don't have a clue when it will be delivered and I don't want to buy too much baby care products like wipes etc. until I have a place to store them. Also not sure if I should start washing the clothes already as it's still 2 months to my due date. I feel like I still have so much time but at the same time that I should be way more prepared than I am 😬 What did I get myself into 😫

I don’t have a nursery as in a room for her made up yet as we only moved 2 months ago, I’ll do that when she’s here and sort it for her being ready to transition into her own room. I have a snuzpod and changing table with drawers for her clothes and wipes/nappies in my room. Moses basket and portable changing mat with nappy caddy downstairs along with her play mat and bouncer.
and then obviously her travel system too.
I’m 32 weeks and haven’t washed her clothes yet other than the ones I’ve packed into her hospital bag. I think I’ll start that nearer Christmas.

If it makes you feel any better…I’m 34 weeks (with #2, so in theory have a few bits which my 3yo hasn’t ruined) and I have basically done nothing 🙈 I’m having a quiet week at work and all I’ve managed to do is partially deep clean the kitchen and cause more chaos than was there before. Waiting for the panic to set in!

We got our pram, car seat and cot all around 32 ISH weeks. We don't have a spare room for a nursery so we didn't want to overload our room and the hallway. I'm 38 + 3 now and just finalising my hospital bag. All i'd say is do any deep clean jobs early because of becomes a lot harder the bigger the bump gets. But a lot of stuff can be ordered online quite quickly.

I actually didn’t sort a nursery until little one was nearly 6 months old! He slept in the next to me crib or in the Moses basket downstairs, clothes were in one of my drawers and wipes etc just in a box in the spare room!

I’ve felt absolutely fine all the way up until today. 38 weeks tomorrow and the pressure when I walk is so strong. Feel like I need to stop every time I take a step 😂 weeing every five seconds and getting up from bed is killing me

Well I must be absolutely neurotic cuz I’m 9+2 and already picking my pram and travel set 🤣

side note: Cybex priam or icandy peach 7?? 👀

Baby boy was born yesterday at 12:22am via forceps bless him. All looking good and healthy at 6lb9, even though all my measurements were saying baby would be 8lb+!!

we have the Cybex gazelle and cloud T car seat - we absolutely love it. I looked at the Priam but I felt we got more in the bundle with the gazelle (at the places we were looking anyway)! Never looked at the icandy prams we were always between Cybex and Bugaboo Fox 5!
Also I don’t know what car you have but the Cybex axels are quite wide, it fits in the boot but you need to take a wheel off which is a bit annoying 🙄

congratulations @Amylaauren 🩵
