The ultrasound doctor at 13 weeks tried to guess and guessed wrong
Oh I know this is my second just curious we are finding out at 15-16 weeks anyways so not long to goIn my experience id say wait until that 20 week scan comes around tbh
I wouldn't trust anything else personally though there is a lot to be said for those first peek DNA gender blood tests even those can be "contaminated" by environmental factors.
Others may be able to give a better answer though.
Yes, at least they did for me, but I did mention it was affecting my ability to eat anything.Would the gp prescribe something for nausea? I’m not actually being sick, just feel constantly nauseous. I’m 7 weeks pregnant.
I don’t remember it being this bad with my first or if I’m finding it extra hard as I work from home full time with my almost 2 year old
Don’t know if it helps, probably not, but I find snacking constantly is the only thing to keep the nausea to a minimum. This failed yesterday when I felt rotten but tbh my work stress, my lack of sleep and my nausea all got right on top of me and I had a right wobble, but the rest of the time it’s helped. Pretzels, salted cashews, dried cranberries and raisins (with whole almonds is my new jam!), basic oaty biscuits, little oatcakes, rice cakes, I basically just walk about through my life with a small pot of one of them, nibbling away. It’s been super counterintuitive to me as an emetophobe who would absolutely not eat anything if she felt sick any other time, but it is working for me and so far, at 9w6d, no actual vomiting. However, I’m lucky that I have little to no food aversions, clearly!Would the gp prescribe something for nausea? I’m not actually being sick, just feel constantly nauseous. I’m 7 weeks pregnant.

Yeah my GP prescribed me cyclizine and when it got worse, he put me on prochlorperazine. I was actually throwing up a lot thoughWould the gp prescribe something for nausea? I’m not actually being sick, just feel constantly nauseous. I’m 7 weeks pregnant.

30 weeks today and it's just 1 complication after another. Baby large for gestational age (my 3 girls were either iugr/small for dates). I have obstetric cholestasis (a liver condition in pregnancy) and the itching is so severe at night I'm not sleeping. I had it with my first and ended up being induced at 36 weeks as my levels went sky high putting baby at risk. I'm also RO positive due to my autoimmune condition which can cause heart block in unborn babies (so far everything is fine). I have severe heartburn I can barely eat or drink anything without gaviscon! I'm also anaemic and crunching ice cubes every minute! Just seem to spend my life up the hospital having scans, fetal dopplers, blood tests etc... don't get me wrong I'm grateful were being monitored and cared for and I have an excellent team taking care of us, but I'm just exhausted and burnt out from it all! I'm still working fulltime but go on a/l in two weeks and then straight onto maternity as I know baby will be induced. I guess I just needed to vent a little!
I got prescribed antisickness which did help but I’m 15 weeks now so it’s subsided along with my appetiteDon’t know if it helps, probably not, but I find snacking constantly is the only thing to keep the nausea to a minimum. So sorry! Sounds like an awful time! Out of interest where are you itchy? I’d read hands and feet are the ones to watch but I’m itchy everywhere other than my hands and feet. Worse at night. Sounds like I need to tell my midwife!30 weeks today and it's just 1 complication after another. Baby large for gestational age (my 3 girls were either iugr/small for dates). I feel personally like my nausea isn’t ‘bad enough’ for anti-sickness, though the last couple of days I have literally had to eat constantly but I think this is the hcg peak time and I’m sort of hoping it might settle a little. I’m trying to practice ultimate gratitude that I’m not vomiting because that would be meltdown territory for me and my heart goes out to all the pregnancy pukers! It’s good to know they will prescribe it for ‘just’ nausea in case it gets any worse. I could really do without the constant eating, I’ve had to deliberately opt for low(ish) calorie meals to try and bring my overall eating into a vaguely normal calorie amountI got prescribed antisickness which did help but I’m 15 weeks now so it’s subsided along with my appetite![]()
I had cholestasis and I was itchy everywhere, not my hands and feet! Definitely call triage and get them to see you for some bloods. So sorry! Sounds like an awful time! Well done for making the breastfeeding decision so quickly. It is all so hard and you don’t need anything adding to that. I dragged it out for 7 weeks making myself and baby miserable in the process. Enjoy your little baby and do what’s best for you and him! Congrats.Baby101 arrived safely via elective c-section on Mondayhe is adorable!
I am VERY emotional. More emotional than I thought I would be. Breastfeeding is HARD. I’ve already decided to knock that one on the head. Hopefully things start to improve without that stress.
He’s a very gorgeous baby and I had a fantastic birth - exactly what I wanted.

I also made the same decision after 4 days and I honestly think it saved me from PPD. This time I plan to harvest colostrum and have my perfect prep machine set up from day 1!Baby101 arrived safely via elective c-section on Mondayhe is adorable!
