When did everyone receive their dates for their 20 week scan? I was told at the 12 week this would be generated and I'd be sent a letter but almost 17 weeks now and nothing. I have a midwife appointment tomorrow so will check with her, but not sure if it's normal with this scan to be sent the date later as I got the 12 week one through quickly. I guess it probably does vary depending on the area you are in, I just like to know the dates in advance 😂
Hi I got my date set for the 20 week scan at the 12 week scan. Sounds like every hospital trust is different which is so annoying.

17 weeks pregnant with baby no 2 and struggling as I'm on day 3 of only being able to keep down diorlyte thanks to "morning" sickness making a return 🙄. There's nothing quite as humbling as puking into a bowl while simultaneously trying to stop your 2 year old from sticking his hand in/grabbing the bowl/throw his toy animals in 🙈😂

One of my bug bears is reading how your morning sickness gets better in the second trimester. FML it doesn’t

If your nausea has been manageable in the early stages, is it likely to stay manageable? I’m emetophobic and the pregnancy gods have been incredibly kind to me so far, 9 weeks in. I get the dry heavies, and I feel nauseous a lot,but no puking so far. MotherDragName had a rough time with me, not HG but sickness through her whole pregnancy so I was worried I’d be the same. But maybe I’m delusional and the worst is yet to come?!

You might be lucky! I think both my pregnancies I wasn’t physically sick until around 9 weekish or maybe a bit after. But I wasn’t really sick that much at all.

Some of the only times I was sick was rafter brushing my teeth cause a bit further in pregnancy it can set your gag reflex off easily 😭
I do not miss that at all 😂

I would be incredibly grateful if I am lucky enough for it to stay the same as this. I dry heave when I’m anxious (which is basically all the time 🤣) so I’m kind of used to it anyway, and so far it’s just been like that without the anxiety part (except for the emetophobia anxiety of course!).
I sound like a right smug cow here. I feel enormously for any woman who experiences bad sickness!

I’ve felt sick the entire time (14 weeks now) but I was only sick once. I’ve bought sick bags as my feet would be to throw up In public the doctor also gave me anti sickness which are a game changer.

I don’t know if this helps but I have terrible acid reflex prior to pregnancy and would throw up regularly and as weird as it sounds you do get used to it. The fear of being sick is worse than it actually happening. Sorry if I’m not helping. Just my experience xx

Sometimes it can get better in the second trimester though! I don't remember when exactly I stopped being sick/nauseous on my son but i think it was around the start of the second trimester so I wouldn't panic, I think when the placenta kicks in late first trimester, a lot of women find it eases for them.

In 5 pregnancies, I’ve never been sick and only felt mildly nauseous with this one so you may be lucky! (Sorry to anyone who’s had a miserable time with sickness 🙈)

This is either really niche, or a universal experience, but does anyone else’s husband/partner use the toilet as an excuse to just sit on their phone?
mine will spend ages in the bathroom and I can hear him just scrolling TikTok. It wouldn’t bother me, but it’s always while I’m trying to do something around the house and look after our toddler, and if he was sat in the kitchen on his phone obviously I’d ask him to help out, but because he’s in the bathroom I can’t!

To answer your question…
(I wouldn’t usually be so crass but it’d been half an hour)

yep mines always done it (not tiktok but he reads news 😂) and just like you with a toddler and while pregnant it was very unhelpful - now even more unhelpful with a toddler and newborn 🫠

again I wouldn’t mind but it makes his bathroom time so much longer than it should be 🥲
If I remember before he vanishes off I ask him to leave his phone behind !

Yes all the time. I’m always nagging him about it - I’d love to come into the house after being out and just sit on the loo for 20 mins like he does. But no, I immediately get on with baby stuff like changing or feeding her. It’s soooo annoying

Definitely an universal experience 🙄 sometimes himself is in the toilet for so long I genuinely forget he's in the house and get a fright when he eventually reappears. I don't understand how they can sit there for so long, meanwhile I'm trying to pee as fast as humanly possible while trying to watch my toddler cause havoc with the door open and pray he doesn't get too far 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

What should I eat before my c section? I don’t want to be bunged up but I do want to enjoy my last meal baby free 😆

I was in hospital the night before and passed on all the options and went with a jacket potato because it seemed the safest option of all they gave me 😅

They might give you senakot a couple of times after your section.. so you might not need to worry much 😂
