I don't want to jump the gun, but I'm 40 + 1 and today I finally started to feel heavy pressure and cramping. I know I could still be a long way off, but it's the first signs of potential labour I've felt and I couldn't be more relieved. I'm finding the mental side of waiting for baby to come much more difficult than I thought it would be.

With my first my belly button never popped out but will be 27 weeks tomorrow and there’s not much left before it might pop out 😂

Maybe this is just having a toddler as well as being pregnant but we got our tree up on Saturday but it’s still barely half decorated and no one can be bothered to finish it 🤣

I’ve had this on and off since this morning too, 40+3 today. It is hard work being in limbo. Praying for both of us!! 🤞🏼💕

How far along are you?
[/QUOTE]

9 weeks, been in hospital most of today getting IV fluids and anti sickness. My heart rate became weak and there was a bit of a panic on, but I’m home again now. I still don’t feel much better and still can’t eat, so gonna call the midwife unit tomorrow at my local hosp and see if I can get some continuity, I hate ringing 111 and going over the same questions a million times, then waiting 2 hours for an app. The staff were amazing today 🩷

Good luck! I've started getting contractions this morning but very spaced apart, although I will say more sore than I was expecting to get at this stage. So I'm already dreading what's to come if this is quite painful and I'm definitely at the v.early stages of everything.

As soon as you can Get on the gas and air take that tit it’s like magic 😂 I promise once things get moving to the proper labour stage the pain relief is amazing. Unlike morphine which didn’t even tough the sides 🙈 good luck!!!!!

And don't forget @Super_Berry it's not a case of some people coping better than others and you have to withstand it, it can just hurt more for some depending on position of baby, your body etc. If you need to get in and get an epidural, go for it. There are no medals for taking pain and you need your strength and mental wherewithal after too. You don't have to suffer.

Yes thank you! Drives me mad when people talk about how manageable they found labour. That’s totally great for you and I’m envious but my baby was stuck in my pelvis and it was excruciating pain. For me an eventual epidural changed my experience from horrific to peaceful

I just want to rant. I’m 34 weeks now and I’m just so tired of people pleasing. I’m so exhausted of dealing with my in-laws ridiculous demands on our time now and batshit insane ideas about how they plan to care for our newborn(!), I’m sick of my partner moping about because we had to move away from a bigger city (due to expense, living conditions and proximity to support) to our hometown, a place he deems “backwater”, I’m sick of the only persons comfort and happiness he cares about being his mother who is the only person he is consistently nice and warm to. I’m sick of my own parents telling me what I should and shouldn’t be doing with my own health etc when we don’t and have never had that sort of relationship before.
The only support I’m glad I have is my small group of girl friends and even then I feel guilty that I can’t go to every meet up or anything because I’m just so tired and sore.
I just feel like running away and finding a cabin somewhere in the woods and living with my baby and being alone 😩
I know il just being dramatic and I’m likely overtired but I just feel like I wish everyone would stop moaning at me or requesting things from me and just actually ask how I am and mean it.

Got to the hospital and was just 2cm, but I can barely move with the pain of the contractions. We got sent home and told to go back when things change but it's so painful. It's a 25 min drive to the hospital and contractions in the car are even worse than I thought they'd be.

So utterly miserable hoping I dilate more soon and can be admitted.

Sending you love! If you’re in pain now, I would suggest an epidural when you can unless you’re dead against it. Labour can feel so slow when it’s painful so it’ll help you feel more comfortable and dare I say ‘enjoy’ it a bit more if you can be more present in the moment. Just think with each contraction that passes you’re closer to meeting your little baby🥰

You poor thing 💔 Hope things progress quickly for you. I’ve had nothing since yesterday morning! Will be thinking of you!

Agree! I had an epidural and it was a godsend. I didn’t feel any of the intense pain but just waves of pressure.

Just found out I’m pregnant with baby 3!! Eeek very excited but also scared shitless about looking after 3 children 🫠😁

I haven’t told anyone yet, and think we’ll keep it a secret for a while longer than we did previously.

Love reading all of the post in this thread ❤

Hi lovely ladies, hope you don’t mind me joining! I’m very newly pregnant (5 weeks 4 days) with my second baby and haven’t told anyone in real life yet as would prefer to wait until I’m a little further along. So thought it would be nice to chat on here! Hope everyone is doing ok, looking forward to getting to know you all and having a shared moan when I get to the uncomfortable stage!
