How do you decide which formula to get to start off with? Do I just pick one of the well known brands and go from there, they all seem broadly similar given the strict regulations around formula.

They really are all so similar due to restrictions and regulations. With my first we picked the one that our local Sainsbury's always had in stock because it would be easy to get, we've done the same this time and are getting Kendamil, used SMA first time round but he ended up having CMPA

With my first the hospital gave us cow and gate to top him up, so we just carried on using that when we got home. Then used the same for second

That seems like a logical approach! Will do some research with my food shop 🤣

Our NCT person said that due to the regulations they’re all the same so go for whatever’s cheapest 🤣 In saying that we use Cow and Gate because that’s what the hospital gave us (I was planning to breastfeed but it didn’t work out) and that’s what we’ve continued to use since. I don’t know if that’s the cheapest option because my husband does the big shop and I’m not bothered enough to find that out for myself. Baby Parsley is happy so I’m happy!

When I had my eldest (he’s nearly 9 so a while ago 😂) I think cow and gate was the cheapest. I remember we went on to the follow on milk at 6m and I was raking in the boots advantage card points with the parenting club 😂

Just went downstairs to show my boyfriend that my half popped out bellybutton is now like one of those pop it toys and he was for some reason disgusted rather than amused

I keep getting a stitch like pain anytime I walk for a while. This baby just always seems to be so low it feels so heavy all the time.

I'm glad you asked cos here's me laughing at my lovely div of a boyfriend but I was generally wondering this myself haha
You have a choice if you’d like a physiological third stage (delivering the placenta), which is allowing natural production of oxytocin to expel the placenta, lots of skin to skin and feeding baby helps this. We like it to be done within the hour usually but it can take a little longer.
Or there’s active third stage, where you’ll be offered a hormone injection to deliver the placenta.
There are lots pros and cons to both, so I’d recommend doing some research because not many women are aware they have a choice in it!

In terms of formula I’m between kendamil and aptamil- I want one with the pre made bottles that’s easy to get. When I’ve looked at stuff online it’s hard to tell as obviously each baby is different so some prefer one over the other!

I dread the day my belly button goes out. It’s still firmly in, when did people’s go out ? Maybe mine won’t !

I’m clinging on to mine at 33 weeks, it sounds ridiculous but it’s been one of my pregnancy dreads 😂 I have always been weirded out by belly buttons. Mine doesn’t look like it used to but it’s not out yet!

I have been an emotional wreck the past few days 😢 I sadly lost my mum a few years ago before I even met my boyfriend so feels like I have a whole new life she knows nothing about! Anyway my brother came round last night with some clothes for the baby and he had bought a baby grow with our mums favourite animal on saying to me how he wishes she was here for me and I just broke down into tears 😢 Then on the train to work this morning I seen this on Insta and it just broke me again 💔
