Welcome back, I hope this time it’s a lovely smooth journey for you even though you will no doubt be nervous xHey, I'm backI had a MC at 6 weeks less than 4 weeks ago on April 26th and I got my first positive test again yday. I did a digital one today just in case and it says 1-2 weeks pregnant.
It's so hard seeing positive after a MC and I can't really let myself get too happy about it but hopefully it will be okay this time.
Due date would be late January, early February.

Right I know this has been discussed in the past but my unprepared brain didn't take any of it in thinking I had forever til I had to start actually sorting things out.
But Tommee Tippee perfect prep day & night machine; yes or no? I do think I've decided I want to formula feed but I've seen things discussed on here in the past about potential safety issues with the Tommee Tippee machines, is it still best to avoid?

I did at around 7 or 8 weeks and it lasted 2 weeks. It's so much more common than I ever realised and most the time is absolutely harmless. A sonographer told me it's often caused just by your body/reproductive organs all sort of changing and folding in to do what they need to do. Yours being lighter and brown now makes it sound like it's just old blood that your body is still getting rid of xAnyone else bled in pregnancy? It’s super light and brown but it’s been going 3 weeks pretty much now

I've had 2 substantial bleeds (one I was hospitalised for) and I also had a few episodes in the first trimester of light brown bleeding. With the light brown bleeding, they also couldn't find a cause for me and was always told brown blood = old blood but if it gets worse or turns bright red obviously go straight to EPU. I know it's easier said than done, but try not to worry too much. The midwives were so reassuring to me and always said that brown blood is old blood and doesn't indicate an active current bleed. Keep an eye on it and don't hesitate to ring your midwife/EPU even just for a bit of reassurance if it continues.Anyone else bled in pregnancy? When I had the two substantial bleeds they were caused by abnormalities in my womb, I had a haematoma which has now passed and I also have ongoing placenta issues which were picked up on an emergency scan. The drs told me that the two substantial bleeds I've had are unlikely to be in any way connected to the 1st trimester brown blood I saw. Apparently brown blood is fairly common in the early days. x
The prep machined used to be against the NHS guidelines but they aren't anymore as the hot shot is 70⁰ so enough to kill bacteria in formula, so generally speaking they are considered safe aslong as you stay on top of changing the filter, someone on this thread said their friend is a midwife (I think!) And they reccomend changing the filter twice as often as reccomended.
I used it with my last baby and still have it as an option but gonna be giving the nuby rapid cools a go this time round too.
In this pregnancy I bled a few times but nothing major, however in my first I bled for 3 months and like you it was a bit like oooo dunno where that's coming from, it made the first trimester so stressful! Hopefully your bleeding will stop soon, mine was like bright red and clots so it was just hell on earth tbh!Anyone else bled in pregnancy? NHS used to say no but I believe have retracted that. That was me - Midwife friend off the record said just change the filter 2x as much as advertised.
There was an issue that the hot shot wasn't hot enough so maybe get a kitchen probe thermometer and check it periodically. They're like £5 on Amazon.
We got this for Baby Parsley and it’s a godsend. Wasn’t planning on formula feeding so had no idea but when he was hungry during the day and crying his heart out we found we were going through the bottles of Cow & Gate so quickly rather than the powder. Haven’t had any problems yet!
Also when I went on mat leave one of my gifts from work was the Tommee Tippee GoPrep with the hot flask, cooling flask, and small containers for the formula powder so it’s easy to make up bottles when you’re out and about. Not sure if you’ve got that already but if you haven’t it’s really helpful
Just had my 24/25 week appt whatever you want to call it, was at my local clinic as they offered that to me last time instead of the 20 min drive to my hospital. What a mistake. Got in there at 13:03, out by 13:10. Massive tick box exercise. Got your Matb1? Feeling baby? Okay bye! Literally that. Felt like cattle. Gonna ring and get it back to the hospital.
Is it normal for it to sometimes feel like baby is trying to kick their way out? Like to feel the kicks in your tina/on your cervix??
Did the EPU prescribe you progesterone? After my mc’s and early bleeding they prescribed me progesterone pesseries, have you looked into that? XAnyone else bled in pregnancy? It’s super light and brown but it’s been going 3 weeks pretty much now

I’ve done lots of research and we decided to get one for the twins. This is the current NHS advice.
We have bought a digital thermometer and I will be checking the temp of the bottles and ensure it is being cleaned very thoroughly and regularly!
I’ve had this and it’s the most unsettling feeling
We used the prep machine last time and found it great so it’s definitely on my list to get again this time. I’ve been looking at the nubby too but not fully sure how it works. We used the ready made bottles any time we were out and about last time but I think you can use this instead and it keeps it warm. Everything changes so much I feel like this is the first time all over again!

Got a phone call from the nursery, looks like my little one does have chicken pox after all so now sitting in boots to get him checked. They’ve told me to check in with the midwife so will give her a call when I’m home. On the plus side I’ve picked up a set of muslins whilst I’m waiting!

I’m on odansetron but it still doesn’t stop the early morning sick
I was on that too during the day, then promethazine and an omeprazole at night which stopped the nighttime/early morning sick. I promise thought it’s true what they say, as soon as that placenta is out the sickness magically stops!I’m on odansetron but it still doesn’t stop the early morning sick

it’s such a weird feelingIt’s crazy! They asked me if I wanted to see the placenta last time, I told them to get that in the bin and away from me!!
I specifically asked to see it with my second (planned section) it was gross but I just felt like I needed to see it
