I think I need to stop talking about the things I don't want to happen as I'm just talking it up for myself. I mentioned pregnancy nose ages ago and I feel like suddenly my nose is very wide. I mentioned a few weeks ago about the fear of cankles and low and behold my bleeping ankles have swollen massively. I'm not going to violate you all with a pic of my large feet but they're HUGE. 😩😩😩
No stop I've got proper cankle fear, I've made it to 33 weeks without them but I feel like they're coming!

First time during this pregnancy I’ve actually second guessed myself if it was the right thing to do. I knew it wouldn’t be easy when we already have a toddler, but I’m barely functioning as it is with the sickness an my toddler is genuinely feral. I’m overwhelmed & boiling cos of the weather and he just wants to sit on me, or on my head. Stuff I usually love is really getting to me today 🤦🏼‍♀️
I’m sorry to hear you’re feeling like this. Sometimes it can all get a bit much. Make sure you’re looking after yourself and most important, be easy on yourself. Your body, and hormones are going through huge changes. If you feel like this for a while think about getting in touch with the mental health team in your hospital. They would be only too happy to help.
While it seems never ending, it’s only 9 months and think of your beautiful baby you’ll have at the end. Xxxx

I'm a few weeks behind you so hopefully you've escaped it!! If I don't laugh I'll cry because the cankles look awful :ROFLMAO: I think my boyfriend felt sorry for me last night because he ran me a bath then did all the housework so there has been one up side to it :ROFLMAO:

hi everyone, i’m very new to the thread so sorry if this question isn’t the vibe but i’m 24 weeks & just wanted to know what sort of involvement people have had with their midwives at this point & what their midwife appointments consist of? i messaged mine on monday with still no reply and she’s also admitted to forgetting about arranging my appointments in so my first appointment since my booking apt is end of the month 🫠
Ideally you should have had an appt at 16 weeks

The insomnia is too much. Been in bed 2 hours and not even a sniff at a sleep 😭

Hope you are all doing okay!

Haven’t really been reading here as I’ve been feeling so sad and alone, I feel so weird and not myself I just don’t know what to do with myself

I hope you feel better 🤍 you’re not weird in the absolute slightest.

I have a lot of days feeling weird. I call myself large a LOT and my boyfriend has to say the words “not large, just pregnant!” a lot.

I do also very lonely and isolated. I don’t really have a good family that cares about baby (as shown by the baby shower saga the other day) and my best friend is not being a good best friend lately. Which is unhelpful, as she’s literally my only friend 😂 she doesn’t mean it, but she ONLY talks about herself and her job and she’s still a massive single party girl with various other circles doesn’t really care about babies or think to ask. She hates kids. It doesn’t offend me because I know and understand her, but it of course makes me feel very alone. I think that’s why I think I’m on this thread a lot. No one else to have these convos with or relate to! So really it’s just me and my boyfriend. My in laws are great as a bonus.

I’ve tried Peanut several times but just can’t get convos going or see many girls on my level.

Thank you 💕 I appreciate that, feels like my hairs gone crap and my skin hates me right now. Yeah Mr10 is the same lol and I’m so grateful for it!

Yeah it feels like people only want to talk to me know because I’m pregnant and don’t actually have any interest me as a person, I haven’t got many friends either so I know how you feel!

Wish we could all do a meet up and have a coffee lol xx

You aren't alone, you've got us! And you're growing a human, that makes you so beautiful. I hope you feel brighter soon but please feel free to vent here in the meantime x

aw lovely as much as it’s awful it’s so normal to feel like this. I’ve not had much support either apart from my mum and I feel like I’m just annoying my friends now going on about being pregnant 🤣 this thread is the only thing keeping me sane.
we are always here for you 🥰

@AL10 you’re definitely not alone, pop on here we are always here for a chat!
Someone recommended dove gradual tanner the other week, think it may have been @watermelon sugar. It’s not much but I’ve just tried it and it has given me a major boost! I’m not a fake tan person, I hate the look of having tan on and it going orange or patchy but this has been great for that lovely golden glow. I’ve put it on this week and it’s made me feel so much better in myself! Sometimes it’s just little things to keep you going!

Yes it was me! I swear by dove gradual tanner 😁 although I have completely fell off the gradual tan wagon since I’ve had the baby. I’ve no time 🤣 and I spent a couple days in hospital so by the time I gave birth my tan went to the tiger bread stage where you go all patchy 😂 But it’s great when you keep on top of it! 😂

@AL10 as everyone else has said we’re all here for you! I agree this would be the best support network if we were all local! I don’t have a huge circle of friends, I’m hoping maybe I’ll meet some mum friends along the way but also I’m excited that I’m growing my own little mini-me (more likely mini husband 😂) to do things with. Pregnancy is tough and it’s such a rollercoaster ❤

Does anyone have any dummy recommendations/experience? I never tried one with my first, but I’ve got a couple of the BIBS ones for the twins to potentially try.

I got them because they look pretty but I now realise that like with most baby stuff, maybe it’s the type of thing that you potentially have to try a few different brands of until you find one that baby likes? I feel absolutely clueless 🤣

I’d try the ones you have, you sometimes get free ones from boots parenting club etc so I had some MAM ones to at we tried and both my kids took them. It’s trial and error but I’d say maybe just have 1 or 2 to try? Then everything else can be ordered next day from Amazon or pop to boots/any supermarket if you want to try a different kind xx

We didn't buy dummies with my first until he wanted one cos not all babies like them, but we went with the same brand bottles so we had Tommee Tippee so the teats are the same, this time of this baby wants them he'll have MAM ones.
I wanted to get BIBS ones with my first but my partner pointed out maybe staying with the same brand was a better transition.
That being said I've seen loads of kids get on with the BIBS ones just fine maybe just don't buy too many incase the twins aren't big fans!

I hadn’t intended to use one but had free Tommee Tippee and Mam ones, tried on a whim, baby took them both and loved them! However, they got a skin rash so we switched to Nuk Space soother as it has the least skin contact. Loved those too.
The only style they wouldn’t take was the newer TT breast like ones (the kind that just look like a bottle teet)

They didn’t use it that much & spat it out themselves and never took it again at about 6mths. Maybe they didn’t like the next size up but had bottle refused from 2-3 months, wouldn’t drink from any kind of cup etc so prob just became fussy.

So far pregnancy has just made my anxiety worse. Just got off a call with 111 because my RHR has steadily decreased the kazt few days and sent me spiraling. She's assured me it's fine and to spend the rest of the day relaxing. I'm just struggling too especially after trying for this baby for so long.
