If you’re still quite early on , you’re best of just sizing up . I tried maternity outfit on when I got to about 23 weeks and I still wasn’t filling it out
That’s what I’m thinking - grabbed some leggings from Asda & they are so see through! But in the office tomorrow so need something today

How are you?!?! Any sign of baby yet?
Have been admitted to ward for CTG monitoring due to movements being abit off, but otherwise still awaiting my waters being broken, apparently the list is long really long 🥲 hope you and baby watermelon are doing ok!

I got wide leg linen trousers from M&S for work. I sized up a few sizes and got a 14 but they’re actually quite big and probably could’ve got away with a 12. I’ve still been fitting in my usual wide leg trousers surprisingly so haven’t bothered buying anything maternity other than the Lovall leggings. I’ve just bought some stretchy dresses from primark and H&M.

I'm feeling like an actual adult this weekend with the organising I've done 🤣
Collected babys next to me crib and the Tommee Tippee perfect prep day and night machine, both Facebook marketplace bargains. Got some other bits out that have been donated to us such as a moses basket and bouncer chair, both were slightly broken so we've fixed and cleaned them. Written a list of all the other stuff we still need to get (inspired by the discussion on here over the long weekend).
Tesco F&F had 25% off when we were in yesterday so picked up some plain white zipped sleep suits, some baby hats and a sleep bag thingy.
Still a long way to go til we're ready but starting to believe we can actually do this parenting a baby thing 😅

We were just in Sainsburys. For someone that keeps moaning about character clothing, I’ve just bought the first proper wee outfit that isn’t a sleepsuit. Elmer outfit, Elmer towel and an Elmer comforter, guess this baby will need to like Elmer.

We had to get a new car as we couldn’t fit 3 seats side by side in my old car (we also chose to do extended rear facing with our first child so the seat is big and bulky!)

We put the isofix bases and infant carriers in today just to check we were happy with the fit… my god, all the faffing and bickering 🤪 afterwards seeing all three lined up we just looked at each other and went “what the duck”. Can’t believe this is happening. How are we going to cope 😭😬 I feel so grateful but I am so absolutely terrified!!

Has anybody had Covid in pregnancy? Went to York designer outlet over the weekend and I immediately regretted it because it was so jam packed busy and now I feel like I’m coming down with something and I feel awfully similar to when I’ve had Covid in the past and I’m worried :/

Hope you don’t have it, it’s horrible even when not pregnant. I think the advice is paracetamol and plenty of fluids. Also let your MW know and they can advise further. Obviously 111 if you’re bad overnight. Hope you feel better soon.

I’ve moaned on here plenty about my MIL, but she’s just came to pick up my toddler since he can’t go to nursery with the chicken pox break out. She’s walked in the door and said pffff your belly is massive!!! Told my husband I don’t appreciate that, you can’t just be calling someone massive. He said, but she hasn’t seen you for a while she’s been on holiday. I’m pretty sure she wouldn’t like it if I started calling her massive!

I never knew how much I’d hate the references to my bump until I was pregnant. Feel bad for saying it to other people now.

my MIL was moaning to my partner that she’d not seen my bump (it honestly depends on what I wear still) and then at the weekend it was pretty visible and she was making comments about it and saying how it’s good I’ve not put a lot of weight on. I think cos I’ve been overweight I don’t really like talking about it!

I’m feeling the same, no one has commented yet but my bump is far smaller than I’d expected at almost 20 weeks. I know I’ll obviously get much bigger and “pop” at some point, but in most photos I just look large. We are taking bump pics and I hate them all, it’s a B shaped bump right now and I’ve just put weight on my arms and chin. I don’t care too much in the bigger scale of things but I’ve also been up and down most of my life (I lost 4 stone last year and finally felt at my happy weight, then we had our MC and I really just lost interest in eating well and exercising). I’m finding I want to wear clothes that make me look obviously pregnant when I leave the house. It’s such a mindf*ck!!

Hahaha! She’s had her own weight issues, she’s always been a size 22/24 something like that, recently got a gastric band and has lost loads of weight. I’m pretty sure she wouldn’t have liked me saying she looked massive before! I do feel massive compared to my first pregnancy, but as bumps go I don’t even think I’m that big. I’ve got an average 7month bump 😂

On a side note - I’m in work and have got a big stationery delivery for the office, boxes of paper etc which is clearly now too heavy for me to lift, but I’m so embarrassed to ask someone for help!

I had a lady I work with who used to rub my belly and say “omg you’ve got so big!” every time she saw me. One day I was having a bad day because I’d just come out of hospital and was rather stressed and not in the mood for people and she did it so I rubbed her belly back and said “aww so have you!” 🙈 she laughed it off but she avoided me after that 😂
