Has anyone used the mama mio pregnancy oil or body butter they’re 60% off on lookfantastic
I use these. Really like them. Can't comment yet on effectiveness as I'm only 3 months.
But my skin is soft and it smells nice. Sinks in well too.
I use the scrub as well

used it with my first pregnancy along with lots of other butters, all make your skin feel lovely! but didn't do anything for stretchmarks though 😂

I have read they’re genetic anyway so creams probably don’t work. My mum didn’t get any but I’ve got a lot of little silver lines on my hips and boobs from puberty so I may still get them. £9 for the big tub though I’ll give it a go.

19 weeks now! Little bump is cute, only small still but defo there.

Struggling mentally a bit now though, I've always been a gym girl (5 days a week!) and toned, so not going to gym for 3 months due to sickness and tiredness of first trimester, it's affecting me a little now :(

everything just feels a bit chunky and out of shape, hips, thighs etc. I'm sad to be having negative thoughts as I'm so so grateful to be growing a baby girl, and deep down I'm not bothered about when I look like, but it's adapting to a different body that will take some getting used to! Anyone else feel the same?

I didn't go to the gym during the first trimester either, likewise went 4/5 times a week to high intensity classes. Fortunately I manage 2/3 sessions since wk 13, some weeks better than others but finding I'm getting slower and everything is more effort. Weights are feeling heavier so that mentally is tit as I feel weaker, I go to the gym more to feel strong rather than for aesthetic purposes. I find it helps with my mental health too, are you feeling any better that you could go back even just to move around? I do struggle with clothes not fitting me as I've lost and gained weight and it's a bit crappy but I try not let it bother me. I find that doing a small bit of exercise helps with me mentally even getting out going for a walk but I completely understand it's easier said than done

Yes your right, I don't want to give up, I want to be strong for labour!! I started with going back even 2/3 times a week, then got an awful cold so another week off last week. Hopefully I can start again from Monday, but with no pressure. I did a pregnancy spin class, just on youtube, and it was so motivating!!

It's a strange time but beautiful, so much change going on ,your head is all over!!

I had covid around 2 months ago, I know how it feels it's crappy plain and simple. No sugar coating. I do find doing something helps for me anyway just to get out of your head 😊 I'm 30 weeks and giving myself small goals each week just to keep going and moving as when I'm inside doing nothing I'm in my own thoughts

Just posting here because I can’t anywhere else yet: after infertility, gynae issues and conditions since I was 12 and a big scare this week, I got to see my 5+ week pregnancy and their little heartbeat today and the pregnancy was confirmed as viable 😭
Congratulations! I had a bit of bleeding earlier the week, just had a scan at the EPU, everything look good, dates seem right and it had a heart beat! It’s the best feeling ever isn’t it ? Feel so much better as have been an anxious mess!

In my first pregnancy I did a lot of research on stretch mark prevention as my Mum and aunt are covered! Apparently it’s more down to the massage and moving the skin than what you use to do it. I used sanctuary after shower stuff and what ever oils/body butters I had already and ended up with just two on my top bikini line but my inner thighs right up to my bits where I didn’t do anything got loads. Didn’t even realise I’d put on weight there!

Look at nancyandersonfit on instagram. She exercised through her whole pregnancy and does rehab programmes for post pregnancy. Lots you pay for but lots of free content too. It might help to know you have a plan for after?

I bought the whole range but I was allergic to the nipple balm so I didn't use any of it. I used Palmer's now and again and bio oil. I used bio oil every other day or so, I didn't use it religiously but I didn't get any stretch marks. My mum didn't either though so it may be hereditary.

Oh definitely! I had loads of stretch marks from puberty so wasn’t a shock when they started appearing😂 although I didn’t get them until 32 weeks and once they appeared that was it😂😂😂

Do you think pregnancy hormones heighten all emotions? I’m feeling incredibly low at the moment (nothing to do with the baby, which I’m over the moon about) and I’ve been very sad about some other stuff in my life. I keep wondering whether the hormones are just exaggerating my emotions… I’ve not felt so tearful in years…

It absolutely is normal as your hormones are all over the place, I'm not sure where you are based but I'm sure if you speak to your GP/midwife they might be able to recommend a service you can use just for thr case of having a chat with someone. I know in Ireland you can get on thr list to speak to people and from speaking to a midwife it's very common for depression to start when pregnant and she told me if I start to feel not like myself use the services it's what they're there for. It's an emotional time I find personally as I think your giving up your own life and body for this small person and while it's a wonderful thing and could be wanted it's still a big adjustment to yourself.

Just checking in to say Baby Tuesday was born yesterday at 40+2 🎉🥰

The birth experience was totally not what I expected / thought I was prepared for and will probably take some working through but we are so in love with our little boy 🩵

So glad everything is okay! This is what happened to me also. It’s beyond words to expect the worst and then see a little blob flickering on the screen! I’m still early days but it’s helped me chill a bit more

Wow congratulations Tuesday! Glad to hear he finally made an appearance. Take your time and don’t forget the birth debriefs that people have mentioned you can have here. Now you can enjoy a wonderful first Christmas with your new arrival
