whopping cough and flu jab..has everyone gotten them? Im just curious my midwife said to me its not mandatory but they recommend just want to know everyones take on it?
I'm getting whooping cough because it protects baby for first 8 weeks, not sure about flu jab yet, I've never had the flu in 25 years and have an autoimmune so not sure, need to look into it! I'm a baby so never jump to get vaccines haha, not doing Covid jab cos I had a bad reaction to it

I'm 17 weeks now, got my first in person midwife appointment this morn and whooping cough vaccine I think. Such a baby with vaccines but I'll do it for my baby girl!! Anyone else in their first pregnancy and feels like noone cares lol, all I've had is a quick 12 week scan and a rushed booking appointment over the phone 🤣 I guess the appointments will be more regular now
It gets a lot more intense after 25 weeks.

Regarding vaccinations, I’ve had them all. Mainly due to the fact I’m hanging out in hospitals and doctors surgeries with more ill people than I would normally be around.

I had the whooping cough, flu and covid booster. Note that whooping cough vaccine is a combined vaccine with a few other things. Apparently they don't offer just a whooping cough vaccine? The covid booster made me feel really unwell.
I have felt much more vulnerable to coughs and colds whilst being pregnant. I never used to get ill, but this winter I've already had 2 or 3 coughs/colds that have kept me from going into work.

I’ll have the whooping cough one. I’ve booked my flu 3 times and had to cancel every time because of my HG. Must book it again asap. I won’t be having a covid booster as the covid jabs made me so unwell.

I keep meaning to book my flu jab. I will have the whooping cough too. Won’t be having covid jabs. I had both the flu and whooping cough with my first born, I was due March 2020 and in the December I had the most horrendous probs worst cold/flu Id ever had and I remember thinking ‘that darn flu jab didn’t work’ but looking back it was probs covid 😅

i’m crying tonight i’m 36w2days and i’ve been getting stretch marks for the last month. i just noticed tonight my hips and bum are now covered in them. purple. covered. not just one or two.

does anyone know any influencers with them as i feel like it’s just me that has them. no one else i know got them
With my first I got them on the day I gave birth 🤣

Same omg the arm pain! But so worth it.

I got the Covid jab more in the hope I still have some immunity when baby’s born. Someone I know caught Covid and gave it to their newborn who was very poorly and had to be ventilated I think so put a bit of fear in me. Wasn’t going to get it til she told me. Thankfully this time the side effects were much better than the booster and first two.

I've had my whooping cough and getting my flu jab at my 28 week app today actually. Only didn't get them on the same day to avoid two dead arms as one is bad enough 😂

Decided against a COVID booster as I only got COVID for the first time about 8 weeks ago and it was very mild. I've had the two jabs and the one booster anyway when they first offered them out so not worried about it!

For some reason I decided to get my anti D, whooping cough and flu jab all on the same day 😂😂 surprisingly wasn't too painful after though.

Approaching 35 weeks now, getting bum hole pain which is new 😭 lady at my scan said the other day she's really low into my pelvis so I guess it makes sense

Hi everyone, new to the thread. Currently 20+1 with our second baby girl who is our rainbow baby, after having a MMC in May at 11 weeks. Feeling very blessed but have struggled with Hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) since 5 weeks and I'm only just starting to feel a bit more human so it's been really rough with hospital stays and multiple medications. It's my second HG pregnancy but it's been worse this time around.

We found out we're having our second girl at a 16 week gender scan, hopefully they are going to confirm she's a girl at our 20 week scan on Friday. Our top 3 names are Freya, Maisie and Harper. Which one do you guys like best? Our other daughter is called Phoebe :)

Congratulations! I like Harper the most of the 3 😊

Freya was top of my list if we were having a girl. Gorgeous name. Congratulations and welcome to the thread!

On a bit of a payday hype 😂 Anyone recommend any sensory books with textures/black and white colours/anything like that for 0-3?

I've had both - obviously it's a personal choice but it was a no brainer for me especially when it's helping to protect baby.

I had both plus a covid booster. I was so poorly last year with various colds, flu and covid that there was no way I was going to go through that plus be pregnant. Ordinarily I wouldn't have gotten them.

What’s the earliest scan people have had to find out what they are having? My place has the gender reveals from 14+ and I’m booked in on Saturday when I’ll be 14+2 and I’ve become really worried it’ll be too early and itll be pointless 😅 although surely they wouldn’t advertise it from 14 weeks if they can’t do it !

Didn't know it can be done this early via ultrasound! I would wait personally to get the most accurate results. it's usually from 16 weeks, I think I may have read girls parts can be swollen until around 16 weeks which can obviously give false results but dont know if this is true!! I would wait till baby is a bit bigger

Yeah it says on the website gender reveal ultrasound from 14-24 weeks. And when we went for our early reassurance scan cos it’s part of a package she said we can get you booked in from 14 weeks

I've purchased some things from Priya and Peanut from Vinted. Then I've ordered an Etta Loves muslin in a sale.

I found out at 14+1 with my daughter, was a routine scan, the sonographer said she could tell me if I wanted to know xx
