Just found out I'm having a girl!! I'm so shocked, I've never had a preference and obvs it's a boy or girl but I'm just so shocked haha!! There was nothing between the legs at all 🙈

Wanting a unique name, nothing stupid, but something that is not as common in nursery. I don't like classic girl names, I'd have something unisex or would have something girly but not common. Any suggestions ?x
I love the name Thea, that’s literally the only name we have if it’s a girl 😂

That's cute!! I'm struggling so much, every name I hear a name I feel like I've heard before!! I might need to make one up haha
My Mum keeps suggesting Flora for a girl and I’m like ‘should I call it I can’t believe it’s not butter instead’ 🥴😂

We just chose a traditional boys name and are using it for her. We didn't want anything too girly or common either. We're 1000% wedded to the name we've chosen now and can't imagine her as anything else!

My hubby doesn't like my top girls name and I'm devastated
I love Margot but all he thinks about it Margot Robbie so he says no
He loves my second name choice which is Holly so I suppose can't win them all 😂

Congrats! Blake, Blair, Riley, Parker?

I'm part of a friend group of 3, they're both single and no kids. I'm married and child on the way but recently they've been planning loads of trips for next year which to be fair they do include me in the conversation but the idea of going abroad with a newborn isn't going to happen. Anyway most recentlg they keep saying oh life is too short to stay at home etc and I'm tempted to tell them duck off basically 😂😂 is it just my hormones that I'm so annoyed when they say things like that. Just because your life is different to mine don't make it out your happier than me

Congratulations! Worth looking at baby list names for other countries. There’s some lovely Scandinavian names for example which haven’t caught on here.

Anyone else really early on into pregnancy about to combust thinking about all the waiting you have to do? 😂

I am not even at 5 weeks yet so I’m guarded about telling everyone and feeling I can relax a bit more and be more open about telling people feels like such a long way off.

it feels like such a lot of information to hold and deal with currently 😂

Well ladies I’m 31+3 and currently admitted to my hospital for monitoring as of this morning
All seems well and I’m now on a ward and not in triage. But wow what a scary experience.

Came here and enjoyed the name chat so will tell you my faves for our baby girl.

I'm the exact same, I'm currently 5 weeks and only my husband and I know about it, it's hard not to tell everyone 🤣

Same here. 8 weeks today. Two scans down. This is attempt number four after 3 m/c in past two years, one at 18weeks.
Some people at work know because I am having more appts than would be standard, but otherwise it’s just me and my partner and my parents.
Realistically for us we can’t relax until at least 20weeks, assuming my body decides to play ball this time so it’s a long time yet before we can say anything. Even then I’d be nervous to because of the past.
It’s a weird time as I’m on progesterone pessaries which are really kicking my a but trying to not take any extra time off work and constantly anxious. Such a weird limbo !

I’m finally joining in here cos I’ve made it to 13 weeks! Yeah baaaaby. After 2 miscarriages I am sososososoosooooo happy to be here.
Question - I want to find out gender. Mr. Sidelines does not. do you think it is at all possible for one of Us to find out and keep it a secret from the other for the next 5 months!? He’s happy to do so… but has anyone else managed this!?

It’s such a weird time! I told a few people for support purposes and that I want to be open with, but I’m keeping it from a few major people in my life and it’s eating me up!

Unusual ones I liked but wasn’t brave enough for are Reeva, Blair or Pippa

I'm 8 weeks now but my 3 year old told everyone when I was about 5 weeks 🙈 We purposefully didn't tell him because we knew he would but he must have heard us talking.
I didn't mind him telling his grandparents because we'd want the support if anything goes wrong but he's told his nursery teachers and all of his friends 🙈

I have to tell work asap because of what I do my role has to change slightly and I need time off for appointments. I've only told my manager and the health and safety person though. I think people are suspicious though because I look rough 🙈
