Day 5 of being overdue! Whilst I’m feeling fine physically, emotionally I am in pieces!
I’ve had 2 sweeps but this little one is not budging!!

I really wanted to eat healthy for the whole pregnancy but I just haven’t I’ve just craved sweet stuff all the time!

Just found out I’m pregnant (1-2 weeks). Although TTC I’m in complete shock as I presumed it would take a while but happened after first attempt at TTC.

Any early pregnancy tips would be very much appreciated x

I’m 36 weeks and struggling, everything is so uncomfortable! I popped into Asda to get a few last bits for my hospital bag and it took me 10x longer to walk around
Luckily my husband is WFH so we are getting the last jobs sorted out including shelves in the nursery, setting up the bedside crib and pram.

FTM and now overdue. Still reasonably active which I can't complain about but I just want my baby here. But then again, I don't want to have to go through labour and I'm questioning why I ever got pregnant lol. It feels like a long wait being 40+ weeks with zero signs of it happening anytime soon!

My husband said to me “you really hate being pregnant don’t you”, I said yes I wanted a baby, not 9 months of misery

Has anyone else has people comment on their weight during pregnancy (I know it's awful to bring up, sorry if its triggering)

But I'm 10 weeks and already had comments from family like 'your getting a belly on you' 'I think your going to be big as you've already put on weight' 'your face looks so round'

Awful to hear as I'm only about 9 stone. I'm usually at the gym all the time and eating healthy but I've really slowed it down due to being ill/sick during the first trimester so I probs have put on a tiny bit of weight but I was just happy to be growing a baby <3 Now I'm worried I will struggle with the body changes

ps. I love my parents but they are 'almond moms' and have a toxic obsession with weight

Exactly 2 months until my due date today just hung up the majority of her clothes (still need to wash them but wanted to see them all hung up first ) and her wardrobe is so mismatched hahaha. I love it though, it's so bright 🥹

Ended up going to triage because of some bright red blood. Better safe than sorry but omg all the waiting around

2 weeks to go for me. Currently on maternity leave. Not quite sure what to do each day other than sit around. Everyone says to "relax" but I have so much housework to do and the nursery hasn't even been started (probably won't until baby is due to actually move into it). My body hurts but my head wants to go go go. Not quite sure what to do with myself and have to stop myself going to shops to burn money we don't have!

Just found out I’m pregnant only 3 weeks. Haven’t been pregnant for nearly 13 years. I don’t remember feeling this tiered soo early on 13 years ago

How are you guys getting on? All settled at home now?

We’re good thanks, yes settled at home now. Baby sleeps a lot, although had a good couple of hours awake time yesterday evening which was nice. Feeding going well too. I know she won’t sleep this well forever so enjoying it while I can!

C-section recovery going well too, I have rested a lot and made sure not to overdo it and was sent home with a load of pain killers that I’ve been keeping on top of so it’s been manageable. I’ve even managed to inject myself with the Fragmin, I usually can’t look at needles going into me or see that on tv etc so think this is the thing I’m most proud of

Same here. Only saw lasagne baby as I paid for a private scan. I see soooo many people complaining about bi weekly hospital scans I’d love to see him more often

Me too my sis in law had them all the time! But atleast it means everything is going fine

My mum came with me today as we were going through my birth plan and the midwife said it would be good for the birth partners to come, my husband couldn’t make it as he was in work
And they were going through contraception after birth and I was so embarrassed with my mum there even though I’m married and obviously have sex as I wouldn’t be in this position in the first place

What are everyone’s thoughts re letting people kiss their baby? As my baby will be born in the height of flu/cold season I’m really reluctant to let anyone other than me and my partner kiss him. I’m also worried about cold sores… might be completely misplaced but my partner says he feels weird telling his parents not to kiss our baby. Am I being neurotic?!

Absolutely not. Saved this from Reddit earlier. The thread was talking about what parents did to mess you up as children :

Eta: this is a severe reaction to a kiss, but nevertheless, you as a parent have the final say. If you don’t want people to kiss your baby, don’t let them kiss your baby.

We never had a 4D scan as we just wanted as much surprise as possible. I wanted the first time I saw my babies face to be once it arrived. We didn’t find out the gender either. I almost didn’t want to know what/who the baby looked like before it arrived (and I also couldn’t bare weeks of ‘doesn’t it look like it’s dad’)🫠. Everyone is different, if you want one then go for it!!

Last working day today. Feels bittersweet bc I love my job and it is very low stress and WFH etc, but also we're so busy in the next two weeks that I'll appreciate not having to log on and send emails and attend meetings

My last day is tomorrow but at nearly 38 weeks I am absolutely ready for it. Was in hospital most of yesterday with suspected pre eclampsia and have struggled to get out of bed today so I’ll be looking forward to putting the laptop away tomorrow evening!!

Has anyone had a 4d scan done? I’m so tempted after seeing someone else’s. I’m on the cusp so need to decide soon whether I want to do it.

My friend showed me hers and I thought it looked freaky as hell so I opted out

My body fooled me into thinking I was in labour last night had two really intense contractions that I couldn't talk through and then nothing at least I managed to get a good night sleep, and the wait continues lol. Hope everyone else is doing well

Hi everyone! Joining in as I got my BFP just over a week ago, think I am around 4+5. I feel like the symptoms are hitting me hard already, my boobs have doubled in size and are achy. The bloat is unreal and I feel so heavy in my belly. It feels like quite a lot for being quite early on. I wasn't expecting my body to change so quickly!
