I wasn’t complaining at all, I was grateful to have gotten a lot of scans as the thought of not having any from 20-40 weeks scared me!This is not aimed at you, I promise, but It astounds me when women on forums complain about having to have growth scans. I’d love to see this kid more often!
I guess the care is handed over to us because we can feel them, and know when something isn’t right?
We submitted the registration form so our wee one can go to the same nursery as our son. Waiting to hear if we can get a full time place for January 2025Nursery tour done! Will be sending him there in 2025. He’s not even out yet and his future is already being planned out. Very strange.
There’s 3 I want to view and I imagine they will only have a few spaces for little babies as ours will be 3 months by then! Feel mean for wanting to put it in at 3 months but I need to go back to work early and it will only be for one day a weekOur nursery is little and is booked up until the end of 2024Start doing some research at least.
Honestly I’d get viewing sooner rather than later, hopefully you’ll be fine anyway but just in case, nothing to lose from getting it sorted earlier. I think they had a boom in people booking places when the new hours were announced, I know mine certainly did! There’s 3 I want to view and I imagine they will only have a few spaces for little babies as ours will be 3 months by then! Just a heads up I contacted 8 nurseries and only one will take her one day a week. We only need that for now, they tell you it’s better for the child (funny how they stipulate the days too- wonder if them going on a Monday is better for the childThere’s 3 I want to view and I imagine they will only have a few spaces for little babies as ours will be 3 months by then! Thank you! Gosh it’s so stressful isn’t it!Just a heads up I contacted 8 nurseries and only one will take her one day a week. Hopefully you’ve got more flexible ones near you but wanted to let you know!
If you can change from Mondays, I would as most bank holidays are Mondays and you still have to pay for them even though the nurseries are closed.Just a heads up I contacted 8 nurseries and only one will take her one day a week. Now that is golden knowledge. Are there any preferred days from mum’s pov? I’m thinking Tuesday and Wednesday for our guy.If you can change from Mondays, I would as most bank holidays are Mondays and you still have to pay for them even though the nurseries are closed.
Wednesdays are a good day to go for-they seem to be quieter for some reason (I think a lot of parents who go back to work part time take Wednesdays off as if breaks up the week). Now that is golden knowledge. I put my son in for a Wednesday morning when we were paying for him to go. Then when he got his 3 year funding we chose M W F afternoons. If I was paying again I'd do the Tuesday and Thursday to break the week up a bit and to avoid paying for bank holidays. Some nurseries allow you to swap the bank holiday sessions so you aren't losing out on money but it's usually a first come first serve basis and depends on availability. Now that is golden knowledge. We referred to baby bandit as they/them until we knew he was a boy, it felt less impersonal than "it" and helped us bond a bitI’m thinking a Wednesday or Thursday, I think when I go back to work I’m going to take Monday and Tuesday off and just work Wednesday, Thursday, Friday to start off with and an occasional Saturday
My mum said she can have it on a Friday and hubby can on the Saturday and I’ll bring it with me on the other day it won’t be in nursery! (Hate saying it but gender is a surprise so not sure what else to say)
What makes you think you might be? If you have any health concerns you can speak to your GP, midwife or a pharmacist for adviceMay I ask, how would I know I’m low on progesterone? My scan is hopefully in 2 or 3 weeks and I’m in my own thoughts atm
Sounds like a good plan. Good luck with the nurseries. We still call him “it”, don’t worry.I’m thinking a Wednesday or Thursday, I think when I go back to work I’m going to take Monday and Tuesday off and just work Wednesday, Thursday, Friday to start off with and an occasional Saturday
