Sorry you’ve had to deal with this today, I feel the same as you though my circumstances are slightly different. I’ve also said no to be induced until at least my due date and then wanted to reevaluate at that stage. I was booked for one yesterday but rang and said I wasn’t going in (39+3 today for reference). Im consultant led due to GD but sugars are under control. Im now booked in on Sunday which is my due date. I just really want him to come in his own time and at least get to 40+5 before being induced if he hasn’t come by then, I’ve had no signs or twinges yet. Felt really unheard today and cried after the call with the consultant. I’ve rang my midwife to see if I can be booked in for a sweep tomorrow to see if that gets anything going. I’m feeling like no one is listening to me and everyone I speak to just seems to be really aggy or dismissive of me and my feelings and knowing my own body.
---
I said how I wasn’t ready for the induction yet as I’ve had no signs or anything from my body indicating that baby is ready to come out and she dismissed it in a way that made it sound like because of the GD I won’t get any signs, just because I have GD doesn’t mean my body is incapable of going into Labour without intervention 🤔😑
I know exactly what you mean about not being listened to, I felt like I was talking into a void today. After calming down a bit and discussing with my other half and doing some reading I think I am going to push for a planned section, but i expect it will be a fight!

I’m having my second and I feel so less prepared this time around. I’m sure I’d bought all the clothes and everything by now (27weeks) before! This baby is a summer baby and my eldest is a christmas baby so I’m really struggling with what clothes to buy - what do you dress a newborn in at summer?! I don’t want him to be too hot but don’t want him to be cold/uncovered either. Please someone help 😂

I feel really emotional tonight I just feel like no one is listening to me and I’m being pushed into something I’m not happy with. In an ideal world I’ll go for a couple of sweeps, my bishop score will be good and that will set things off all before Sunday but who knows 😂 I hope you manage to get a planned section, I think you are definitely within your right to push for it and I’m not entirely sure they can say no?! There is a useful website/ helpline called birth rights might be worth taking a read!

I haven’t brought any summer wear yet as the weather is so unpredictable but was thinking little shorts and T shirts or rompers that are cool material. For any 40 degree days we might have again (hopefully not) I would guess just a nappy?!

I meant to reply to you earlier, not with advice but just to reiterate how frustrating it is that the attitude seems to be not to listen to us silly women at times. I was in hospital overnight on the maternity ward on Monday, came home late yesterday. I'm 33 weeks.

I was feeling very weak and confused. Bloods, baby and heart rate fine so they didn't think anything was wrong with me. I had hit my head on Friday (I did not think this was the problem) so got a CT scan to rule that out and it was fine and they just sent me home.

I have an anxiety disorder, I felt they were not listening to me at all and when I looked at my notes (I take mine home) they had just underlined and highlighted in yellow that I had an anxiety disorder in them. I felt they were just humouring me by keeping me in and were very dismissive of my worries. I'm taking the rest of the week off work because I feel like tit but they don't half make you feel like an idiot when you are in there and then if something went wrong you wouldn't be long being made feel like an idiot for not doing anything.

Sorry, not a helpful post at all and very much a rant.

Help please! I'm only 17 weeks but I'm suffering from really bad indigestion and and struggling to keep anything down in the evenings! It's not so bad during the daytime. I'm taking gaviscon double action tablets but it doesn't seem to be going anywhere!

I have a couple of pairs of T-shirts with buttons at the corners (hate pulling stuff over their head 😂) & short combos. Some short sleeve short legged romper suits for him and if it gets really hot again just indoors & nappy! Really hope we don’t get any 35/40 degree days this year!

I had my early scan today and I’m very confused.
They thought I was six weeks but they also said looking at my womb, they can see a sac there but it’s too early to tell if it will become a pregnancy. They did say my womb lining is thickening which is a good sign. My last period was Feb 8th. I got two positives on March 8. One was a clear blue digital. Even though I’m bleeding I’m still testing positive. They can’t explain why I’m bleeding nor can they say it looks like a miscarriage. They did some blood work and they said I’ll know more In 24 hours.
Hi lovely, I know everyone’s different but I wanted to share my story as it was similar! Like you I was bleeding and went for an early scan and they also only found a sac and was told it could potentially be miscarriage or too early, and for me it turned out that it really was too early as when I went back for a repeat scan there was a heartbeat and my bleeding was just a late implantation bleed. I’ll keep my fingers crossed it’s good news for you and sending you so much love as I remember just how scary and upsetting it was 💕💕💕

I’m 14 weeks and feel the exact same! I feel like I should have shares in Rennies by now, I go through a pack so quickly!

It’s very much that attitude isn’t it - silly women! That seems really crappy of them to have highlighted the anxiety disorder like that and not taken you seriously because of it :(. Don’t have any advice either but just know you’re not alone, I hope you feel better soon!

That’s awful. I have anxiety too and I’m so scared of telling my midwife that. (I haven’t met her yet but I told her I had another mental health condition and her reaction wasn’t great.) But the point being that’s really awful they did thst in your notes. It’s not supportive.

Thank you🥹 Apparently the same happened to my sister and she went on to have a healthy baby. It gives me hope. But I just can’t shake the feeling that something isn’t right.

I’m having a spring baby and have bought loads of little rompers for summer, they’re like baby grows in that they just button up the middle but the sleeves / legs only go to the elbows/knees

Thanks ladies. I’ve got some short rompers! I remember bringing my first home in his sleepsuit, cardigan and a hat with a vest and I was worrying what to buy for this one! It’ll probably end up snowing knowing the weather recently 😂🙄

We’ve just exchanged on our house, keys next week, so the mission is on now to get it decorated and organised before baby arrives and to actually settle in!

I feel absolutely exhausted. I don’t know if it’s because I’m recovering from flu or pregnancy in general but I’ve never felt as tired. I’m constantly drained. Thinking I may ask my midwife to check my iron levels at my next appointment?

I’m bowing out ladies. My blood test results are indicating it’s a loss. My heart is broken. Good luck to each and every one of you. I hope you have healthy pregnancies and babies.❤
