How’s everyone doing? My DD is Monday and still no signs over here! The odd period type pain but as soon as I think ‘This is it! It’s starting!’, it goes

I'm 40+4 and having the same! Occasional stomach ache and I get all excited, and then it turns out to be trapped wind I've been bouncing/rotating on the exercise ball so much but to no avail yet! It's frustrating not knowing if there's any progress happening inside, plus the irrational part of my hormonal brain is emotional because I really wanted him to be born in April (not sure why!) and that seems extremely unlikely now! Fingers crossed we all get some proper twinges soon!!

My DD is Thursday and I’m in the same boat, every night I get small cramps in my back and lower stomach and lightening crotch and think it’s starting, but nope

Has anyone felt extremely sick before labour started? I’ve been feeling really sick this evening and had a dicky tummy all day. Don’t know if I’m just trying to convince myself the end is near

I had a really dodgy tummy. I put it down to nerves because I was due to be induced, but went into labour while I was waiting at the hospital for the induction. Apparently it’s your body clearing itself out fingers crossed!!

8 week scan went really well, she said the little bean is looking perfect! Feeling so relieved now

Funnily enough I’ve felt very sicky yesterday and today too, so hope there’s something in that! My feet and ankles are SO swollen too.
On a more positive note, I’ve just realised that next weekend should be my last full weekend alcohol free - I’m at the point where I’m gagging for a glass of white!

36wks with baby 3 and he is breech with no signs of turning. Got my last growth scan on Monday and a possible ecv with a view to section if that doesn't work. 1st was 9lb 1 at 37wks then 11lb at 41wks when born so I wonder what this wee one weighs now. He was 5lb 2oz at 32wks

My tummy was off from 3-4 days before but I seemed to buck the pregnancy trend and had problems with going to the toilet too much normally throughout pregnancy

Is 38 weeks too late to collect colostrum? I plan on formula feeding but was maybe going to have a stash at home in the freezer but kinda forgot

Not too late at all - you're not meant to start until 36/37 weeks anyway

Spoiler: Birth story

I hope I’ve put this correctly in a spoiler. My intention was to so I’m very sorry if it’s not and upsets anyone.
third baby - for me this was a positive birth story. I was 40&5 days. Had a sweep. My waters broke and meconium present so admitted to labour. I laboured for 14 hours with hormone drip. Opted for no epidural and was able to use gas and air to manage contractions.
pushed baby out. They got stuck but she was manoeuvred out by amazing midwife. First degree tear. Allvery happy. I think that might have been terrifying for my first baby but I wanted to say you can manage hormone drip on gas and air. It is doable. Don’t feel pressured into epidural if you don’t want it. If you want it. Have it though!

Baby GG was born on the 20th April at 36+5 so slightly premature! Total shock as my waters went spontaneously at home at 3am in the morning. I laboured pretty quickly from 4cm to fully dilated but then baby would just not come out despite me trying my hardest! In the end I was rushed to theatre for a spinal and they attempted kiwi cup and forceps to no avail so baby was born via emergency c section! It was a total relief in the end after suffering fully dilated contractions for quite some time and they struggled to get the spinal in whilst I was having them

it’s such a surreal feeling and as odd as it sounds I can’t believe my pregnancy is suddenly over and I really miss my bump! Baby blues is also a very real thing. Newborn cuddles however are so special

Congratulations People warned me about the baby blues but omg… they hit hard!!

Feeling so sorry for myself today! Hardly slept because I’ve got horrendous toothache - think it’s just increased sensitivity because of the amount of acid reflux I’ve had but it’s so sore. And I’m really suffering with congestion so can hardly breathe out of my nose. Then baby was doing a full Irish jig in my tummy every time I got comfy and settled.

Was already feeling a bit fragile because my partner’s parents had been round earlier and his Dad was just constantly slagging off our house/where we live. It wasn’t anything major and my OH won’t have even picked up on it, but I bought the house on my own at 25 and I’m really proud of it.

Pretty sure I’m having contractions because I can feel them in my back which normally with braxton hicks I can’t (just the tightness across the tummy) but it’s not really that painful. Just a tiny bit uncomfortable. Is that weird?

Sounds like it could be starting to me! Could drag on a while though Do you feel up to a walk round the block? I'd try and keep mobile to encourage it to all keep moving a long if you can... good luck!!

I've been having pains in my stomach today and quite low down sometimes too. I think it's trapped wind but my anxiety is getting the better of me. My 12 week scan next week can't come around quick enough
