Perhaps a daft question… but with formula do you go by the weight of baby or the age of baby to how much formula to make up?
Never followed either. I’ve followed the lead of baby, once they’re consistently finishing a certain sized bottle, I then move up an oz. The chart on our formula tin says babyGG should only be having 3 7oz bottles now. If I followed that, he would be damn miserable as he still loves his milk, still has 5 bottles of between 7 and 8oz x

Thanks for the reply! Makes sense… we are expecting a bigger baby so didn’t want to be under feeding if I went by weeks!

As @xoxo GG says, neither.
3 babies in and they've never gone by the weight of the tin. 99% of the time, having more than it says.
If you use the premade bottles to start with, you can see how much they're taking, then you can make roughly that much up. And once they start draining bottles for a lot of their feeds, up it by an oz 😊

Would people recommend sleeping bags or swaddles? I have a couple of sleeping bags already but haven’t yet bought any swaddles. I know the Love to Dream swaddles are really raved about but are they worth their price tag?

Swaddles are good as they keep baby’s arms close to their chests and limit them jumping from their moro reflex, but we were advised not to swaddle at night, only for day naps - I think it’s to do with hips as when I mentioned we had some swaddle bags the midwife said that’s totally fine to use at night.

I don’t have any love to dream swaddles but what I do have are 2 in 1 swaddle sleeping bags which have poppers where you would put the arms through, so you have the choice of using it as a swaddle or a sleep bag. One is from Mori and the other is from Tommee Tippee I think…

We have a Tiguan too, lots of our friends with children have T-rocs but I didn’t feel like they were that big inside tbh
We used to have a t roc and they’re deceptively small inside, our pram barely fitted in the boot

We bought loads of sleeping bags and a variety of swaddles and the only thing she liked was being swaddled in a blanket, so I wouldnt bother buying loads until the baby is here and then just trial and error it!

Is it normal for nausea to come back at 30 weeks? It’s 3am where I live and I’ve been awake for an hour feeling sick and hungry at the same time so am currently eating a bowl of cereal hoping this will help me get back to sleep 😂

39+3 and I've had enough. Pelvic girdle pain is agonising. Any tips to self induce?

My sickness has returned during the night too, from maybe about 36 weeks I think it was. It was really bad a couple of nights, I feel like the size of my boobs doesn’t help they were already big but have grown loads 🙃 so laying on my side is quite uncomfy I feel like they’re just up in my neck 😂 it’s been a little better this week but still comes and goes and in the morning until I’ve had a drink been feeling slightly nauseous!

I don’t have any tips for the PGP/ early inducing unfortunately but you’re almost there! does this go as soon as baby is out if anyone can speak from previous experience?

In my experience, it didn't. It took about 4 months to get better.
I still struggle now sometimes, 2 years on.

Most should within the first month though

Sorry to hear that! You must have had it pretty bad, did you have it in more than 1 pregnancy?

I feel like I'm being made out to be completely unreasonable. I'm 36 weeks pregnant, struggling with PGP and still suffering with sickness and my in laws are coming round tomorrow to help with the nursery decorating. Initially it was just the FIL which was fine because it's a small room and can only really fit 2 people in when decorating. Now the MIL is coming too and for some reason my FIL has said "oh what's for dinner", which means I now have to entertain my MIL whilst the hubby and FIL decorate and it'll be expected that I'm up and down stairs shipping them brews and then cooking up dinner. When ive said something ive been told "well they are doing us a favor".
It's our first child and it seems like we aren't gonna get any time alone to chill before baby arrives with the rate this nursery is taking (honestly the FIL has been doing it at a snails pace to keep coming round, like it was started beginning of february and its still nowhere near finished) and noone seems to realise that me and my hubby need us time before baby arrives too.
I should add that they don't leave quickly either if there is an emergency which is also stressing me out. I had to go to A&E a while back, via the GP and they took over an hour to leave the house so my hubby could join me, so I can see me giving birth of my sofa before they've left if I go into labour 🤦‍♀️.

We have some velcro swaddles from Little Seeds, we have been using them since my son was a few days old as he flails and wake himself up. He sleeps fine without them but I think they generally help him fall asleep quicker than when he isn't swaddled. The 0-3 month we got from my SIL (her son hated being swaddled though) and I just bought some 3-6 from Vinted. I also tried some aden + Anaïs ones with a zip at the bottom for changes but I'm not a fan of their velcro fastenings.

The other thing I love about them is how funny a wide awake baby looks all burrito'd up 😂

I don’t love that you’re feeling rubbish too, but love how we’re at the same point and always seem to be experiencing the same symptoms 🤣

I was sick 4 times yesterday🙃

I hope things go ok today 🙂 can you try talking to your husband again about how your in laws make you feel so he can understand and back you up? I know they're trying to help but if they're making things difficult for you and aren't prioritising him being with you when you need him then he needs to grow a backbone and stand up to them!

how does anyone do anything outside of the house when *heavily pregnant 😂
We had to leave the garden centre after half hour because it was so hot I felt like I was about to pass out, then even sitting in the car it feels like I’m about to wet myself from the pressure of his head 😭
He also must’ve discovered his legs suddenly because they’re poking out my stomach constantly and it’s actually quite painful 🤣🤣
Think my partner is sick of me already flinching constantly with either my pelvis or stomach but I can’t help it 😅
