My second was induced at 39 weeks and it was pretty quick and straightforwards... I can't quite remember the details lol but it was definitely less than 12 hours from the pessary I had. I went on a walk (probably too far, don't know what I was thinking!! I did 17000 steps :ROFLMAO:) outside of the hospital, came back and my waters broke, went on the drip and she was born fairly soon after that. We were back to back so it was painful but I managed with just gas and air. I think if the same thing happened again I might ask for an epidural this time. I was put off before because of the experience of my first birth, plus they said it might slow/stop things progressing. Then again, I just sort of wanted it all over with as quickly as possible so maybe not :ROFLMAO: I certainly wouldn't be worried about having another induction x
You sound like me just wanting it all over and done with. I've only ever had an epidural once and i hated being there pushing for 40min shoulder dystocia too😒 that was my first baby. Had 3 babies afterwards.. All inductions

Now I actually have to name a child I haven’t seen a single name I like 🙈 even names I always liked before I’ve gone off! Anyone else felt like this?

There’s seriously about 45 girls names we love and 1 boy name we find somewhat acceptable. It’s really annoying! I wanted a girl anyway but if we get a boy it may end up just being registered as “baby [surname]” because it’s too much hassle 😂

We have one name we like and I’m worried he will arrive and not suit it cause apparently I hate every name in existence 🤨😂😂.

Woke up today, nausea has returned and feeling light headed. I’m almost 28 weeks but feel like I’ve been transported back to the first trimester 🥲. The joys. I have a growth scan next week and for some reason feel really nervous about it!

Same here, why are boys names so difficult?! Me and husband can’t agree on any 😂

Because I’ve worked in childcare there’s been quite a few names my partner has liked and I’m like no can’t, worked with one of those and they were a nightmare 😩😂.

Coming up with a boy name was hard for us too but we got there in the end
Though when he’s born if he doesn’t suit the name we don’t have any back ups 🙃
But we’ve both been calling baby/bump by his name so maybe it will be fine 😊

it is really hard cause there’s always some annoying person out there by any of the names either you or your partner come up with 😂

We struggled with boys' names in comparison to our long list of girl names but landed on one we adore, it'll come to you in time, don't worry! 🥰 We used to go through the alphabet on walks and suggest a name for each letter, it worked in the end.

So I saw a really interesting tiktok with some thoughts on why boy names are hard. Basically our brains (lol, autocorrected to Brian there!) gravitate towards girl names because we’re genetically wired to see babies as cute and innocent so we protect them. As a result, any “boy” or gender neutral names that become popular as girl names (Lindsay, Beverly, Addison) tend to stick as girls names and we find it difficult to switch them back or keep them gender neutral. So there’s a much smaller pool of male names!

You feel like your baby won’t suit a name beforehand but they grow into it and nothing else would work. I couldn’t imagine my son being called anything other than what he is. Same with North West odd name and yet she suits it?

I am not a medical professional, just an old Mum sharing experiences, any way I had horrendous heartburn from 8 weeks until my boy was born at 32 weeks. All the symptoms you ladies are talking about, I had it. Only Gaviscon was available, don't think Omeprazole had been invented then. Didn't matter what I ate, milky things like ice cream or rice pudding soothed it for a while but not long.
My doctor explained it to me that pregnancy hormones soften your ligaments to allow your pelvis and joints to stretch to accommodate growing baby & birth.
Unfortunately the valve that shuts off the top of your stomach is made of the same stuff, so that softens too & lets the acid leak up.
As soon as I'd had my boy, the heartburn was gone the next day. Xx

Met my consultant today and she was so rude, grumpy and condescending :( I am sure I must have had her last time too - she made a couple of patronising, sarcastic comments during my last pregnancy that really stayed with me. I had some questions to ask today, but her attitude was so off putting I couldn't bring myself to ask them. Once I'd realised it was her again and remembered the other horrible remarks she made last time it seemed pointless to ask anything and get another sarcastic, unhelpful reply. I find pregnancy so stressful after years of infertility and treatment and miscarriages, I hate these appointment at the best of times and horrible doctors like her just make it so much worse 😢

No point to my post, sorry, just feeling fed up now! I have to go back for a rescan in a couple of weeks because baby wasn't playing ball either! Probably sensed the negative energy emanating from the consulting room and was trying to hide

I would ask for a different consultant and give examples of the way she’s spoken to you. It’s completely not on

As a teacher who sees over 100 kids every day, I’m convinced I’m never going to find a name I love!

We had a family name we wanted to use if we had a girl, but still no clue for our boy.

I’m so sorry your consultant made you feel that way, it might be worth requesting to change? Mine was pretty useless, I was referred to them because I have ehlers danlos and she basically admitted she doesn’t know a lot about the condition but from what she does know there’s not a lot they can do to help anyway. Was such a waste of time 😪😂

Boys are sooo hard to name! We have agreed on Isaac as there was literally no other name both me and my husband agreed together on!
