I thought skin to skin and delayed cord clamping were in the NICE guidelines? They should be being done as standard unless there is a medical reason to take the baby away from the bed quickly to be assessed by paeds etc
Thank you @Chickenandgravy im about 7.5 weeks currently. Hopefully next week ill have more symptoms, which will be reassuringI had days where I felt quite normal, no symptoms, even my sore boobs went away. Think I was maybe about 6/7 weeks when it happened. I did the same and googled like a maniac and thought the worst.
Of course it was totally fine and I wasn't having a miscarriage.
Then all my symptoms came back ten times worse over the next few weeks and I couldn't stop being sick.
I know it's hard but try not to worry it doesn't always mean something bad.
Yes they are, I believe. My first two did need immediate attention which is why I didn’t get s2s or delayed clamping with them. But with my 3rd there wasn’t such a need (at section). That said, neither of us were the worse for wear from itI thought skin to skin and delayed cord clamping were in the NICE guidelines? Symptoms disappearing or not having them at all don't mean anything.Hi ladies, im trying to stay calm and not fall down a google hole. Ive been feeling pretty normal for the last week or so (aside from a bit stressed and overwhelmed with stuff happening in life, not related to pregnancy). Im worrying as im not tired, nauseous or achy. Does anyone have any reassurance to offer? My first scan is at 10 weeks on 2nd march. I read on the nhs website that having no more symptoms could be an early sign of miscarriage.. On thr other hand, some women barely even know theyre pregnant as they feel normal and others have a pretty symptom free happy pregnancy..
Must. Not. Worry (but low-key will for the next 2.5 weeks)![]()
Thank you lovely @WhatABore!Symptoms disappearing or not having them at all don't mean anything.
I've not had any symptoms in any of my pregnancies apart from sore boobs which came and went week to week.
I wish more people were told about this because it's something I see so many people panic about.
But strength of symptoms ect has no indication on the pregnancy
I'm having an elective section which will probably be in around 10 weeks or so since I'm 29 weeks today!Hello beautiful fellow pregnant ladies.
So il be having an elective C section in a few weeks time, anyone have any experiences of them?
I’ve read that you can pick your own music playlist during surgery?if this is true I want to get creating something ASAP.
Also do they allow skin to skin when baby comes out? So many questions.
My first pregnancy I had no symptoms at all, I was convinced I’d go into my 12 week scan and they would tell me I’d imagined it allHi ladies, im trying to stay calm and not fall down a google hole. Sorry to hear about your miscarriage, I was the same and I was so paranoid. But I think a lot of the twinges you are feeling are more your body gearing up to grown the baby. I had really bad backache and cramps early on.Hey peeps. Sorry I haven’t read all the threads so if this is covered already I apologise
So I’m 5 weeks pregnant, and popping myself. Last year I miscarried at 6 weeks and maybe I’m paranoid but I have the odd twinge and I’m worried it’s my body getting ready to miscarry again. Anyone else had this? Also reading up on what you can/can’t eat and drink, anyone know if you can drink teaso British I know but I love a brew.

What worries me is that i have had symptoms (exhaustion, nausea, stomach cramps at the start, slightly sore/heavy feeling boobs), but seemingly nothing nuch for about a week. Talking to you girls here is helping to put my mind at ease.My first pregnancy I had no symptoms at all, I was convinced I’d go into my 12 week scan and they would tell me I’d imagined it allbut there was a very active healthy little baby in there! Not everyone has a rough first trimester, try not to stress too much x
just seen you are 7.5weeks, still very early, you may be messaging back in a week or so saying you’ve now got sore boobs/ nausea and exhaustionI didn’t get any symptoms until 7 weeks with this pregnancy
I’ve been having twinges/cramps nearly everyday and I’m trying to keep away from google because it’s all too scary to readHey peeps. Sorry I haven’t read all the threads so if this is covered already I apologise

They can come and go, google is also a pregnant woman’s worst enemy but we are all guilty of itWhat worries me is that i have had symptoms (exhaustion, nausea, stomach cramps at the start, slightly sore/heavy feeling boobs), but seemingly nothing nuch for about a week. I’m so sorry to hear this: this happened to my best friend last year. She was 6 weeks when she found out she was pregnant. She too felt detached and wasn’t excited. Just allow yourself to feel however you feel, there are no rules to anything like this. I won’t comment anymore on how my friend is doing because your journey is your journey alone. But I will say this- there were times when I used to cry for my friend because I thought she would never be happy again- it’s been a hard year but every time we video call she has a huge smile on her face and her little boy is the happiest, most gorgeous little baby Iv seen and had brought a lot of joy and happiness into her life where she thought she would never find it again.Just popping on to say hi! I am so glad I found this thread, I’ve already learned loads reading through it. I’m 11+2 according to an early scan I had a few weeks ago. I’m going through pregnancy alone and will be raising my child alone. My husband had severe depression and killed himself in December and I found out 9 days after that I was pregnant with our first child. It’s been an absolutely heartbreaking few months, at a time where I should be happy I’m grieving. I feel so guilty because I just don’t feel excited about the pregnancy, I feel so detached from it. I never thought I would be doing this alone. My 12 week scan is scheduled for what should have been our first wedding anniversary, I tried to get it changed as I don’t actually know how I’ll cope but I was told it wasn’t possible x
Hi it looks like an invalid result as there’s no control line, I’d take a clear blue if you want a clearer result xView attachment 434007Can anyone give me advice on this? Unable to work out the reading on it. Thank you x
