Think we’re allowed to admit we miss it, not like we’re drinking it?! 😂😂 yes I definitely do now and then!!! Have had non alcoholic beer a few times but of course it sets off my heartburn, then again what doesn’t 🙄😆
I have a can of pre mixed cocktail in my fridge that I am WAY to tempted to pack in my hospital bag

Just had my 31 week midwife appointment and baby is breach. Lots of time for him to turn on his own but midwife said that’s not often that happens in her experience. Check again at 34 weeks and then I’ll need a scan and an elective caesarean if he doesn’t budge. Not sure how to feel!
My last baby was found footling breech at 38 weeks. Booked in for csection, they said because he was footling, there was a low chance of him turning… turn up for my csection, and the little bugger had turned and I didn’t even notice! Have they given you any exercises to do, or are offering to turn? (Sorry if this has been mentioned. New to the thread - 16 weeks on my 4th pregnancy and have a lot of pages to catch up on 😂)

missing a drink too. We are into wine and bought loads of special french wine where my partner has cycled past before Xmas. My mum then turned up on Xmas with more wine for us, before we told her then my partner had points to use up so bought 12 more bottles.
There is wine spilling out of our cupboard but he says he wants to save them to drink with me, I can’t imagine he’s going to have his boozy drinking buddy back ANY time soon, as if I’m going to need help sleeping when she’s here

also, espresso martini 🤤🤤🤤🤤

Random question but I've been speaking to my husband about it wanted to know what everyone else's thoughts are - when baby is here how do you guys feel about in laws/extended family etc holding the baby? Pre covid I was fine with my first son but this time round I feel Abit ahh stay away from my baby just as she will have no jabs/protection until she is 8 weeks and I don't know where these people have been who they have seen. Do you think it's unreasonable if I ask them to do a lateral flow test before they come over? Or am I being over the top I have alot of family that work in schools and that freaks me out at the mo 😂

Did they still do the csection when he’d turned or not? No just bouncing on the ball recommended so I’ll do a bit of that. I think as there’s still plenty of time yet to go they’ll discuss turning closer to the time if it’s still necessary. I reckon he’ll flip by then lol

Nope! I think I was admitted at 39+1, and I refused to go homes and asked to be induced 😂 my other babies I have gone 2+ weeks over, and I really didn’t want to be pregnant for another 3 weeks, so they induced me, which didn’t work straight away, and he came 1.5 days later 🙃

I've been worrying about this too. I've been concerned about my in-laws as they're quite heavy smokers and can be oblivious that they stink (thankfully they stopped smoking in the house when my SIL's little lad became a toddler and would follow them into the room they were smoking in) but now I have to be worried about my parents too. Mum's a specialist nurse who does a mix of hospital work and home visits, brother is in the military and comes up most weekends but is sleeping in bunkbed dorms through the week etc.
Apart from the smoking I wouldn't have bothered about any of it, but it's on my mind a lot now. Baby is due late Nov which could easily be early December, I know I'd be gutted if even just the common cold came through the doors, let alone anything more sinister.

@Kitt my friend successfully turned a baby (or maybe it would have turned anyway!) using the spinning babies website info

I think it’s very much personal choice. My brother is a doctor in a hospital, so I guess he is the most high risk in our family, but I was always happy to let him hold baby. If you don’t feel comfortable, then that’s fine! Even after 8 weeks baby won’t have protection from Covid, so the jabs won’t make much difference in that respect. I don’t think anyone would be offended that you’re doing your best to keep your baby safe and healthy 😊

yesss I’ve seen this new watermelon Malibu today and it’s set me off again haha! I think it’s the being drunk part rather than the taste I’m missing so I’ve had a few noseccos and becks blue but it’s not the same 😂

Oh my god I genuinely don’t think I would cope if it was all planned and I was prepared for it to happened that day and I went in and was told it wasn’t happening. Hopefully I don’t have that situation. 🙏🏻

Ah ok that’s great thank you!
Yeah I did ask for the blood results to be given to me, and now I’m worried that if they missed the urine they might have missed something on the bloods too. I’m going to econsult with the GP and ask them to just double check.
Some trusts just really take the piss. Hope everything’s ok and you don’t have to worry about getting any new tests done! Frustrating to say the least! X

I was nil by mouth too, which was fun 😂 it was frustrating, but he would’ve been my first csection, so I didn’t really know what to expect. And once I got over the initial shock of being booked in to have one, I was looking forward to knowing when he’d be here and it was all planned
I hope baby turns before you get to that point!!

Definitely reasonable to ask them to do a lateral flow test before they see the baby.

We will most certainly be operating a system of lateral flow, handwashing and masks. I think you have to do what you feel comfortable with and I wouldn't judge anyone for how they handle it all.
That said, I've made a rule this time around (having had a house load of my in-laws which was 8 adults in total descend on me 2 days after my firsts birth AND I laid on lunch - wtf) that if you're coming to visit, it's not for the first two weeks and when you do you either come baring food or you complete a chore otherwise no admittance. 😂

I hate presents, I don’t like people buying me stuff because I usually don’t like what I’m bought (hate clutter too so usually goes straight in bin/charity shop) but I am genuinely thinking of asking for food or just eat vouchers when baby is here if people want to be kind 😂
