A lady I worked with in hospital had bariatric surgery and you couldn’t see the scars from her photos that she shown us. I can’t remember which one she had but she regained her pre operation weight plus more within a year. It isn't the miracle cure everyone believed it to be.I had my gallbladder removed & depending what I wore you wouldn't see the marks. There is one in my belly button, 2 off round the side & one higher up in the middle. None of her bras ever seem to fit so it's possible her bottoms cover any down low & top covers anything higher up. I don't know what kind of incisions they make for weight loss surgery though. I can't really see any reason why she would lie about getting it. I think if she had had more of the "traditional" weight loss journey like alot of the people I see on insta then she would have absolutely turned into a weight loss surgery account. But as her loss has been much slower she hasn't made a big thing of it.

You are so right. Some people have psychological obsessions with food that the surgery doesn’t resolve and the surgeons don’t always address correctly. The lady who used to work with eventually lost 5 stone on her own after the regains once she got the right level of help and was in a better state of mind.I think it’s because people believe that that’s all you need - have the surgery and that’s it but you still have to put some effort in like making better food choices and exercising.
