Her 'apology' is worded as if we discovered a couple of old tweets that say things that in this day and age would be considered wrong. But the absolutely vile onslaught of abuse to minority groups that she engaged in and contributed to OVER THE SPAN OF MULTIPLE YEARS is not creating drama.

The apology reads as though her comments were silly little things that all teenagers say until they realise it's wrong/learn better. Her tweets were vile for any age.

This is what we’ve been saying!!!! It’s all very well putting out a performative post saying you’re going to do better and saying you’ve changed aka the standard influencer apology, and if I hadn’t seen the screenshots I would probably be inclined to accept that too. But what she said was beyond hateful and beyond being the product of ‘poor mental health’. she needs to start taking real accountability because this isn’t going away any time soon Polly.

Right but other people, e.g. her friend Morgan, had for example the use of one slur maybe 2-3 times. I'm still not saying that's ok. But that is so different to what Polly has said. And Morgan made a proper apology and donation immediately. Polly's behaviour is worse and her response is worse. I don't know how anyone is defending this.

If this had been a celeb say from Love Island, she would have been vilified in the media and surely de-platformed to some extent. If this had been a normal working class person, they'd have lost their job and respect.
