When it sentencing expected? I imagine that's giving itv a quandary as they'd like it to be over and get back to normal asap, but a televised sentencing will bring it all back up again. The longer he's off air the more people will go digging.

Did anyone hear anything about Julian Clary finding out what Philth was like and threatening to go to the police, and then being frozen out of Philth's circle, and allegedly out of a lot of mainstream broadcasting circles? Just read a tweet alluding to this and then someone commented saying that the "Well known camp celeb" initials were JC. I obviously don't know if any of this is true, just wondering if anyone else heard the rumour.

They have the monopoly and could make things difficult. Pretty much every presenter on ITV and to a lesser extent the BBC is managed by them. If ITV were to upset them they could in theory taken one of the golden handcuffs stars like Ant and Dec elsewhere. I’m sure there was a rumour at one time they were considering working with a streaming service, like say David Attenborough and Jeremy Clarkson have done. It also runs a lot deeper with Phil. He is best friends with Peter Powell who runs YMU, his daughter works for them etc. For those who remember when Anthea Turner was the highest paid woman on TV and on everything, then crashed and burned and ended up out in the cold. She was married to Peter and very publicly left him for his friend Grant Povey. It was rumoured she was black listed because of what she’d done to Peter and because he was so well liked in the industry. The press tore her to shreds. Look what they did to Lisa Armstrong, Ants ex wife. That is what YMU are capable of. They are not ones to be crossed. I’ve no doubt they were responsible for Holly been thrown under the bus after queuegate.

I started to dislike him when he wasn’t very noble when Fern left This Morning. He wanted her to go I think, because she is much more likeable than him. He wanted to be the main star.

He dislikes women who are brighter and more articulate than him. Not difficult really, he’s a thick bastard which was very evident when he covered big royals events for ITV and used big words incorrectly in the wrong context. He took against Amanda Holden because she wasn’t a simpering side kick in thrall to him like Holly. Not that Holly is thick really, she just knows her place and puts on that act in his company.

OK in what way is their main problem being him disowning his disgusting brother digging deeper? Not trying to be snarky but a few people have said this as if there's some deeper message.

There's definitely a deeper message to what they were all saying, and when you know about the real issue with PS you can see exactly what it is! Dan Wooton knows where ALL the bodies are buried, and it's only a matter of time before it's all exposed

I’m so sad about Paul’s death. I never met him but he seemed a genuinely decent celeb who never changed or forgot his roots no matter how successful he became. I always got the impression he didn’t like Phil or holly as he nearly always only appeared on TM when they weren’t on , especially in recent years

Paul was known for treating the staff on his shows amazingly well. He was genuinely nice. Unlike Holly and Philth. He’d have seen Through the facade I’m sure of it.
