I have started back up with the ridiculous anxiety. It had gone away for a few months but now ever awful thing I hear ( car crash, rare diseases, freak accidents) it feels like it is going to happen to someone I love or me and that really it would be better to just kill myself at a certain point to avoid the ever increasing risk of whatever freak accident I have just heard about. I know it is irrational but the fear is real and I hate it!
I found the only thing that helped my anxiety was HRT. Took a few months to settle but coping far better now

It’s boring and im not preachy promise but intense exercise really helps my anxiety ( spin class couple times a week is what i do) Simple yoga plus being outside and in nature, we walk a lot! I did basic weights ( bands) but shoulder is giving jip atm.

Hey I wonder of anyone can advise as I have tried speaking to my GP and couldn't make head nor tail of what he was saying and my pharmacist told me that Lenzotto was a nasal sprat so I don't trust him either 😂😂.

Anyway I have been given Lenzotto HRT to try and also progesterone tablets to take from day 15 to day 26 of my cycle.

I don't have periods anymore so do I count day 1 as the first day I use Lenzotto?

I am so confused so any help would be fab xx

If you don’t have periods then it would make more sense to take HRT continuously rather than taking the progesterone cyclically. Regardless of that, just start the spray and that’s day 1. When day 28 ends then you’re back to day 1. On cyclic progesterone (as you’ve been prescribed) you’re likely to get a breakthrough bleed each month after you’ve stopped the progesterone, normally when post meno you take half the progesterone dose but for the full month and as there’s no withdrawal there shouldn’t be a bleed.

Anyone struggling with really dry hands? I thought it was the hand soap at work initially but it's a moisturising Carex one, so not a cheap nasty soap. Hand cream never seems to help much either?

Get some epimax to wash your hands with and apply after as a cream also

In the winter my hands used to end up with really bad cracked skin and get really sore. Turns out liquid soap is the main culprit regardless of whether it's moisturising etc. I switched us to bar soap instead and haven't had a problem since.

Hi thanks so much for this really appreciate it. I think I might speak to GP again and see if I can take it continuous like you mentioned.

At work we have the Carex one and straight away my hands feel dry but at home we have Asdas own brand and Palmolive and I have no issues, so it could be the brand.

Carex Aloe Vera (the green one) makes my dry hands so itchy and the Palmolive “aquarium” makes the skin on my hands peel off. I avoid them like the plague. I agree about bar soap, so much nicer.

Sodium Laureth Sulfate (in basically anything that foams) will likely be the culprit for sore hands. It’s an irritant. Definitely do bar soap or a cream/emmolliant.

I'm going to ask for vaginal estrogen, to be used with a mirena coil . I mean they'll probably say no to the estrogen cos I'm only 41 . Does anyone have any magic words for getting the estrogen prescribed? The pharmacist told me that was the treatment for my complaints.

If the answer is no, I want to know if I can have the combined pill and take it without a break to hopefully stop ovulation and periods.

I'll need a rethink if they won't give either.

I don't think they give the combined pill over 40 - will be the mini pill which doesn't have a break and would hopefully do the same thing

Just about to start taking HRT, gel and tablets.
Do you use/take at the same time?
I try and do my gel in the morning, and then take my progesterone at bedtime. Mainly in case MrYoda fancies getting frisky (unlikely).

They can prescribe it up to 50 , if you meet the criteria. I'm not sure if I do , although the reasons haven't changed since they gave me it when I was under 35.

I didn't get on with the minipill, although it worked as contraception.
