Love to hear more about the split in the push push crew
Me too, I miss all the drama, apparently it kicked off the other night in Bradley’s obsessive stalker group. Had hoped it was his wife telling them all to take a good look at themselves in the mirror but it was to do with people wanting to buy other people’s studio places 🙄

Just done Kendall’s anxiety ride - fuck my life I thought it would be easy. Wrong, the first 10 mins are sheer hell 🤣🤣🤣.

You know the worst is the one that posts absolute nonsense all the time on the ladies group. Her apparent £100k car budget then ends up with a Nissan 😆. Not that there’s anything wrong with a Nissan btw, just she was humble bragging about the amount she apparently could spend.

Share price drops another 30% in the last few days as earnings were significantly worse than the low estimates. Wonder how much longer they can continue for?

I remember when people were saying as they dropped to $100 it was a good opportunity to buy, I thought hell no!

Peloton shares hit new lows on Tuesday, after the connected fitness company reported far higher quarterly losses than expected and warned it was “thinly capitalised” for a business of its scale. The New York-based maker of exercise bikes and treadmills reported a net loss of $757mn for its fiscal third quarter — almost triple the $267mn loss analysts had expected. Peloton now expects fourth-quarter revenue of between $675mn and $700mn, below analysts’ consensus forecasts of $820mn.

With them being around for over ten years I don't think they'll just suddenly disappear, they'll be acquired by a software or sports brand like amazon, Nike or Adidas.

The pandemic defo made the old CEO go wild but how much more did he think they'd grow realistically? Me and my husband would never set foot in a gym again now we have the bike and tread - but we're fortunate enough to have a dedicated gym space in our house with weights, racks, bench etc so neither of us feel like we are missing anything from a commercial gym (and we hate other people!)

They've got a very dedicated subscriber base so they need to focus on them, which I think they are doing as they emailed me through the week saying I'm one of the top members, asking me to share my peloton story for their socials, a personal video off some instructors and a £100 apparel voucher!

I find myself being so lazy in this heat. I will usually do 3-4 times a week but for the past one month, I am doing max 2 times a week. I need to find my motivation again

Olivia’s rides are just so unnecessarily difficult! I like a challenge but the resistance and cadence combinations she comes up with are so unachievable!
I avoid Olivia like the plague. There’s no thought to her rides except go fast as possible whilst out of the saddle. Her powerzone rides are so annoying as you can tell she’s irritated by having to stick to zones.

Leanne’s low impact rides are my favourite when I can’t be bothered as they’re sneaky hard.

I think covid has shown that some people like to be treated like infants and taking personal responsibility isn't popular these days.

I think the main question is do other treadmills have safety features that will cut off if something is being dragged under? They'll probably do some software updates to warn or add more limited safety features but it'll probably need a new model / hard fix to prevent the issue from ever happening.

Agreed about Bradley. Find him irritating and only do his warm ups/ cool downs if I need more material

Some of the fans are cringe. These instructors are paid a lot of money- reported to be well into 6 figures to inspire. But some obviously inspire some a bit too much.

I’ve taken a few live classes but feel a bit embarrassed at the end with the picture. Although the other week I did a Leanne class and she was so fantastic, I swear she would have stood there all day. Called my toddler over for a pic and had a selfie with everyone before the class.

If you find a ride you really fancy though, good music, you can just hide the metrics on the bottom of the screen and do your own thing.
Tried that with the recent Leanne trance ride - thought I’d just pedal it out and enjoy the music, but ended up really going for it as I couldn’t help myself 😂

Bradley seriously gives me the ick - I have no idea how he is so popular! He is the one instructor I wish I could just block so his rides don't come up when I'm trying to work through a set of types of rides!

I like Leanne, Hannah and Ben mostly because I really cba with the inspirational stuff that some of the US instructors bang on about.
I’ll do a Kendall workout if I want a real challenge.

We've just ordered an Apex Ride - quite a bit cheaper (but still pricey) no in-built screen
Is that £1200?

I do like the concept but I find the price point for just one exercise so high. I've got quite a bit of home gym stuff and have a huge variety of things for way less than £2k with no subs.

The technogym stuff you don't need at home, it's commercial grade equipment designed to be used for many hours every single day, and the maintenance is equally high.

What else do you have? I’ve been trying to get a decent barbell and some substantial weights for ages now, nothing’s ever in stock.
Weights, bench, rack, selectable dumbbells, X trainer, kettle bells, ab roller, mini trampoline, Swiss ball, hula hoop but I'd still rather go to the gym 😆 adjustable dumbbells are a great thing to have.

Well done for highlighting this. It all looks very good on the tv advert - but what a cost!! By the time the government assistance - furlough etc - is taken away and redundancies kick in, there will be a lot of people stopping their Peloton subscription. Also, those who have expensive vehicles on PCP will be trying to find a way out of it. They will be trying to make out they've been missold the contract.
I think for many people they like that peloton is expensive and exclusive so that plebs like me can't afford it / won't spend that much on it

I've had the app since the 4th Jan (I'm a cheapskate so just using a decent spin bike), 163 workouts since then?! I've had more noticeable muscle gain in those 10 weeks than in however many years in the gym

It's funny though because I absolutely DESPISE running, but all my fave trainers do runs so I am half wanting to get the tread!

BRB, just going to do Andy's live upper body @ 4 :)
same here! i’ve been using the app since december and the bike since feb and i’ve never seen results like it! i’ve been going to the gym training legs 2x a week for years and i’ve never seen quad definition like i have with peloton!

Agreed!!

Has anyone done the Alex and Tunde ride for BHM? It made me tear up a bit when Tunde said that Alex offered to share a class with her because not many people were taking her classes.
Oh that’s made me feel really sad, she’s such a good instructor 😭

I do all of Leanne's rides and I just can't believe she has been going through all that and teaching. I have noticed her rides have been more manageable for me and thought I was getting fitter but in hindsight they're probably a little calmer for her!

You know what.
Please tell me it's not just me.
Joined some of the FB sites.
Christ on a bike (there's a pun in there somewhere)
1000 output a class brag. 100 classes a day brag I've done a zillion classes this week dick swinging.
It stressed me and ruined my mindset for a month. I've always exercised all my life. I've always enjoyed the good and probably some down right naughty of life. For me it balance.
But the competition. Even on Pelaton ladies who had the most expensive bag, is my 1.2 million house priced right etc. It's drained me.
I like the motivation of badges and shit but it gets a bit too much and I think I need to go back to me, myself and I.
God I've bored myself abit there 🤣
I am with you! I joined a few groups, and omg wanted to strangle everyone
I've hidden peloton UK ladies but just snooped and it's all NON PELOTON RELATED who even cares
The hard-core on the floor and sweaxy strong groups are the only ones I tolerate
