It’s absolutely not about status or “look at me, I can afford it” as mentioned above
Well it may not be for you, but many others it does seem to be a status symbol.

Is the peloton basic £12.99 membership new? I wondered what they were going to do now apple is entering their space.

A £9.99 a month membership for live classes I might do on top of gym membership as they've cut the classes and hours alot since reopening.

The new bike is even more, but designed to be used for more than just spin. But still bonkers as you'd be better off using a tablet or TV.

No, to be honest I'm not really a fan of the British instructors, they all come across a bit like they're trying to hard to be a stereotype
Or maybe I just like a good cheesy American!
Ah I pretty much only do rides with 2 of the UK instructors Ben or Hannah F, their music is the best and they don't talk excessively like most of the American ones do! Ben is quite endearing as he always fluffs his words lol but his strength classes are great too. And Hannah is just brilliant, motivating without being cheesy.

I really like Leanne but I feel she has sex face at the camera mainly and so it puts me off her rides. I usually pr with Ben in hills and hiit rides, he seems like a v good guy.

How does the digital app work? Is it cheaper to buy your own bike and use the app?
The digital app is just on the play store or apple store, £13 a month with a 30 day free trial
Has all the workouts on (over 15000) and you can do bike and tread workouts you just don't have the leader boards and all the proper stats, and you have to guess/work out what the numbers would be for you
I got a half decent bike at £350 and have worked out the cadence, and drew on my resistance thing in increments so I kind of go as heavy as I should be haha

I've been in the group a few months but haven't started it yet
I'm going to do total strength 2 and then start the calendar I think!
I tried total strength one but I can’t click with Andy tbh. I have a good strength/lifting background so just need some structure!!

i know this is a really stupid question, but...

Ive done two spin classes ever, does it tell you which are beginners ones and when you should move onto the next level (are there levels?)?

I used to run a lot but haven't for a while, so does it help you work out what level you are at?

I literally have no idea how these work :/
Yep there's loads of filters and the beginners programme is really good :)

I’ve just seen a instagram reel going around today and looks like there was an invite only run from Peloton studio London the other day? Lots of same faces there it seems. I didn’t hear anything about it, not that I am even close to London

I've been thinking of joining my local gym but can't justify it on top of the Peloton membership. Can anyone recommend other stuff on the app/bike? I feel like all use it for is the cycling rides so probably not getting the most out of it!
