This is really niche but does anyone remember back in day (either XFM or Radio X) when Elis said there’s a female TV personality/presenter that makes him ‘vibrate with anger’ Does anyone know who it is?

This reminds me of a guy who used to post on twitter, he kept coming up for me because a guy I followed interacted with him. Anyway, it was a constant cycle of "I'm so skint, I can't get a job, I have nowhere to live, no food to eat" etc etc and then all of a sudden he's been offered a live in job. Great. But needs money to tide him over until his first wage. Then boom, a week or so in, the job hasn't worked out and now he has two days to find somewhere else to live.

Honestly it was unbelievable. If you didn't know he had form for it. You could be lured in.

As it stood he had done this on many many different variations of his page and was obviously a scammer and thankfully I haven't seen his face or pages similar for a couple of years. But sadly I don't think thsts because he was caught but merely he's going under a different name.

And sadly this kind of thing burns people to do good sometimes.

I'm sympathetic to the plight everyone is going through just now but quite frankly can't give to everyone and don't know who's genuine so I donate in different ways as I can. It feels awful sometimes scrolling past some posts.

With the PCD group, I think they see it as a tight group of comrades who they can go to.

Like the Distant Pod fans, they are all really tight and if Mike, Elis or Stef posted a gofundme they endorsed, fans would donate for sure.

For example, I recall seeing someone post on twitter about not being able to go and see the distant pod live show because they couldn't afford it and their comments were flooded with "I'll buy you a ticket mate come with me" and when I had an extra seat for mine I offered it up to anyone on the group without wanting anything for it (but bizarrely noone took me up on it, which I won't take personally).

Hard to explain, but it's hard not to feel like that could be exploited. Especially when Elis and John (and the delightful Dave) are so bloody lovely, so obviously the vibe will be that their fans are (and they are, broadly save a few absolute tubes).

Anyway sorry. Rant over.

Old Johnny JR seems to be in a bit of hot water over his supportive tweet(s)... being accused of standing by a friend who was behaving in a similar way to RB... it's very interesting to see all this coming out.

I don’t know. I read the reply and John’s reply to her. Seems wholly unnecessary if you ask me, and actually, going after the wrong person. I think he’s replied with genuine consideration. Besides, if, as it appears, they’re actually IRL friends, it seems strange to have done this all via Twitter?

I'm sorry to all the massive Lou fans out there (I don't dislike her) but it really should have been Dave in the Tax calendar and not her. I can neither confirm nor deny if I'm going to cut out a picture of his face and pop it on there for the month of July.

Do itttttt! They should have superimposed his face there themselves. I think he couldn't take part in it because he had covid.

(But he still drove down to drop down various props which I didn't really understand )

The fact that she was able to step in last minute definitely plays into my #shaggingtruther beliefs

Ive probably just been been burnt by following the life and times of grifters like jack monroe on here, but I’ve seen a few go fund mes/kofi type fundraisers for PCDs recently on the FB and it is giving me bad vibes. Does this make me a bad person? Maybe. Is it all legit? Possibly.

before the actual news came out about the 2 pods a year next year, some utter coin posted something along the lines of 'the show is being cancelled after xmas'. this post was deleted after a while, so there were several posts referencing the original including one saying something like 'awww I always miss the juicy posts before they're deleted' or some other nonsense. approx* 500 people have now posted the link to the press release. *this is obviously an exaggeration

the latest *drama* is some absolute cunt lecturing elis about adopting not buying kittens. he paid £30 for two from a mate ffs, he didn't go to a breeder! for all we know the 'mate' he got them from was fostering the pregnant mum.

*Miserable cow face* listening to the podcast now and...a child you don't know in a giddy show off talking to adults mood is fairly irritating after 30 seconds (Although I fully empathise with childcare issues and can only imagine how stressful taking your child to live radio is)
