All I know is people are convinced Kyle is broke, but if he's broke then what about all of these other adults like Dev, Jackie and JoJo who have a lot fewer monthly views and seem to be supporting themselves with youtube.

I mean, he could be broke while making more than the others if his spending habits are poor which seems to be the case.

6k a month seems sorta high for his low amount of views.
He's getting 600K views a month. I took the $6000 based on earning $10 per 1000 viewers which isn't outside the realm of possibilities. He doesn't post shorts videos which usually earn them far less. People like JoJo get most of their views from short videos and those pay only a fraction of what the long videos do.

If he's broke, it is because he may have mountains of student debt. He is making bank on YouTube

Well that's what I mean though. People in his thread are convinced he's not earning much money at all, not that's earning a lot but spending it all. I personally don't believe that.

Socialblade and others like it really exaggerate the earnings for creators. This seems a bit more realistic. It explains his behavior and approach to vlogging.

Either advertisers pay a premium for certain categories like people looking to spend a ton of money traveling to Orlando Florida or vloggers like Dev are hiding side hustles or real jobs to make ends meet. Estimates are just that estimates.

Unless someone does a tell all and shows us what they really make we can only speculate.

The Tracker sure act like they are making a ton of money still but they could just be burning up savings at this point.

Different categories do pay differently. Categories that relate to luxury or big spending will pay more and Disney falls into this category. A lot also depends on the viewers. If they are older they likely have more established careers and thus more money to spend. So advertisers will target them over young college age kids watching video game videos. Just go and do a YouTube search for things like "How much YouTube paid me in my first 30 days" or "How much I made on YouTube last year". The trackers, if they don't spend it all, should be millionaires.

That’s not true. An older audience actually pays worse which is why a lot of them only make $5 every 1000 views. The theme parks have mostly an older audience. The people who reply to him usually have gray in their hair and that’s not what advertisers like. They have a key demo they are looking for.

Also gamers are some of the highest paid. It just depends on the age demographic that watches. Theme parks are mostly those 40 plus that watch hence why they don’t make much and don’t have any sponsorships.

I'm curious what Premium members do to the payout. I could watch 1,000 Woo videos (let's pretend I'm in a Turkish prison), and they wouldn't get a single penny more in ad revenue from me than the Premium subscription price.

I'll let you believe what you like, but don't rely on internet articles to understand what YouTubers get paid. So much of it is wrong.

As for sponsorships, I think this is hard for the Disney theme park people. There aren't many real options for sponsorships. Disney won't sponsor them, they just give them free access. The only real option may be some kind of merch company or a travel agencies. Both of which are likely to be small and independent. Theme park vloggers are kind of in a space where most sponsorships don't fit with the niche. It isn't because of the demographic.

Speaking of influencers and vloggers, things will be changing. This was taken from JoJo's thread regarding TA's and vloggers.

Vloggers = free advertising. So what if it isn't 100% accurate? Could they stop media invites and freebies for vloggers? Sure. Are they going to somehow ban them or regulate them somehow? Highly doubtful.

Would you go to a restaurant that didn't allow reviews? Most vlogging is in the same lane as a review.

I’m not relying on internet articles. I’m going off my experience with marketing. Advertisers don’t like an old demographic because past a certain age those people don’t spend money. Even for television the key demographic is 18-49 but really 18-35 is what most advertisers prefer. They also prefer if the people watching live in a big city and not Oklahoma or Iowa.

The people who watch Disney content are usually 40 plus. There are plenty of sponsorships in the travel space but none of them are creative and with the wrong demo on top of bad duration sponsors won’t pay.

If Dev really does make $10 every 1000 views (which isn’t the case for every video) his cruise is looking like a horrible investment. Only at 13k views so even at $10 every 1000 views that’s only $130 so far.

Who all wants to just give him a good ol' punch in the face? LOL
I'm surprised he even went, considering all the horrible reviews of the first night.

I won’t watch. Did he pile on from everyone else as the worst event ever or did he come up with his own hot take that it’s the best event ever?
