Nate, Veronica, Tim, Jenn, Adam, Best Life, WDW Couple, etc. all have one thing in common they completely lack being "cool" and that needs to change for vloggers to have worth beyond the fanatics. I can say that because I am uncool too. To quote the film Almost Famous, “The only true currency in this bankrupt world is what you share with someone else when you're uncool.”
Time to spend the content marketing budget on cool people to bring new people to the parks.
The other thing these all have in common is they're aging which goes to your point of lacking the "cool" factor.
While certainly Disney wants to appeal to families, they don't exactly want their major influencers to show more home vlogs, boring podcasts (Josh does those too), and / or "About Me - Here's My Sad Story" vlogs. (if Adam had media, I'd lump him in there w/ baseball stadiums and first class trips to Atlanta). They also don't want their influencers like V. to write IG stories talking about personal
tit to "respond" to comments made on a
bleeping gossip board. Not professional. Not sticking w/ the "brand." And certainly not to the level of Tracker drama w/ those videos FRE drew attention to.
Vloggers such as these, and including the likes of RixFlix, ALSO are going to start to "feel" more of their activities if they're trying to keep up with younger influencers. I'm 45 and I know that I can't stuff my face full of cupcakes left and right, eat big meals, huge portions at buffets, etc., nor can I do thrill coasters anymore (and I used to do them all; my summers growing up in NE Ohio involved Cedar Point every year). Tim and SE were both saying recently that a certain ride they just rode made them feel slightly off and Rix and Nikki both get their bouts w/ nausea. Even Tim was
witching recently about acid reflux and we've seen Jenn tell us (why? I have no clue?) that he's basically in the bathroom at DS w/ the
people from what they just ate.
Even at the Velocicoaster preview, or whatever RixFlix went to, he was panting and kept saying he needed water because he was out in the heat for so long. Heat can affect you more as you age too. So yeah, being a theme park vlogger has an age limit which, like
@letsgetouttahere mentioned, is why the likes of DFB has lasted so long. We don't need to see your face or hear about your life story or your toddler's diaper blowouts, just show us food.
Overall, I think Disney and Universal are moving more toward IG and TikTok and away from YouTube.
Like anything in life, changes occur and I really hope some of these vloggers who think they're going to continue to do this FT start to dust off their resumes.
