Hearing his story about his mental health and having to sleep in his car was revealing.

In the notes under his video he references September being National Suicide Prevention Month. I think he was at a very low point at one time and making this video this month was important to him for his mental health. Again, I give him a lot of credit.

Anyone else notice that Nate seems to be drawing a lot more stares from other guests in his vlogs lately? There have been at least 2 or 3 people in each of his past few videos that give him side eye or looks like "who the hell are you talking to?" It was never this strikingly obvious before so it seems he may be being a bit loud and obnoxious to be drawing the attention and ire of other guests.

Also in what bizarro universe does this guy not like cheese???

Sorry for being long winded but a lot to digest:

The Good: I enjoyed his story very much. He didn’t owe it to anyone and I do think it was very genuine and actually well told (I just hate when people say the phrase “Best Life” now because of the two Disney grifters that associate with it).

Plus, with a regular reach of 50k, it may just be the positive push that one person in a rut needs to inspire them to get back on a path to happiness.

To me, Nate is a lot like Charlie Brown and this is his kicking the ball moment or finally winning a baseball game.

One of the proudest moments of my life was getting to take my father on the vacation of his dreams to thank him for always working so hard for my family. I really related to Nate feeling accomplished that he was able to do that for his Mom (and I sincerely feel he picked up the check for the airfare, hotel, and tickets). Life has to have been very hard on her after seeing her husband getting sick, eventually losing her husband, and then seeing Nate suffer depression.

It doesn’t get more blue collar in my opinion than grinding away at a Denny’s for years and I would indeed have Nate’s optimism/positive energy if I had a similar Cinderella tale.

The Bad: I do think that Veronica is not a nice person and is very much manipulating Nate. I do agree that the narrative of Nate mentioning multiple times that he and Veronica are still friends was forced by her to have him put it out in the universe.

Nate, if you do read these comments: Veronica was nowhere for you when you were at your lowest points after losing your step-father and she would still want to be nowhere in your life if you were still living with your Mother in PA.

She is conveniently trying to make amends now and become your friend again because your self-made access, audience, and clout could potentially benefit her.

I was in a similar boat when I had a major personal come-up in life (where an ex-girlfriend suddenly resurfaced).

Give Veronica the dog and get her 100 percent out of your life. You can pick and choose what friends you want now.

The future:

I hope Nate putting out in the Universe that he is officially single helps him meet a new girl.

That's disgusting.... As one who's struggled with weight my whole life it's not something to be fat shamed. I have RA and fibromyalgia and struggle with my weight. Some of the medicines I take cause me to put on and retain weight no matter how much or how little I eat.

I will say this nates life update video was way more sincere than the Trackers or PCD. You can tell theirs was simply to redirect blame, whereas Nates was from a more heartfelt place. Sure he may have been separated for a while but he didn't owe it to YouTube to air out that business. I feel like the moment you start giving personal detailed events you open yourself up to crazy people stalking you so I can respect that aspect of him. I can only imagine how many crazy people have pics saved on their phones or computer of these vloggers and their family.

My hubs and I just watched it and thought he came across as sincere and grateful. Yes, there are times that his videos drive me crazy, but this wasn't one of those times. I give him credit for making the video and telling his story.

I saw Veronica and her family on a VIP tour the other day at Hollywood Studios and she was holding hands with her new boyfriend. He looks completely opposite of Nate in every single way. He is probably 6'5", tan and extremely fit. He is clean cut, no beards or facial hair. I cant describe him anymore than resembles the rock with hair.
